Previous thread

What will tomorrow bring for Kate? Does her love for green know no end?

And Thursday night sees the return of Meghan! I know she can be polarising so let's stick to just discussing her clothes rather than the intricacies of Megxit. There's plenty of other threads to do that!

I think it's Farmleigh in answer to my own question

TokyoSushi · 03/03/2020 22:58

Let's hope all the green is out of the way and tomorrow is a better day!

GlamGiraffe · 03/03/2020 23:06

Oh yes, the avengers bra, verging on madonna sequel. What's that all about? I wonder if it's actually like that in real life.. you wouldnt be able to unseen it and wouldnt know where to look🤭. Think that dress is horrible. Wonder how much of the pint she actually managed to down? I wouldnt do well!
On another note, popped into the V&A yesterday and saw queen Victoria's coronet, oh how stunning!! (DH isnt getting my hints😂😂) Prince Albert had great taste!

beanaseireann · 03/03/2020 23:14

Thank you for the new thread QueenoftheAndals

Crabonastick · 03/03/2020 23:15

I quite like the dress but thought she’d had her Tatas done barbie style when I noticed the chest area!

ElspethFlashman · 03/03/2020 23:16

There's been virtually no buzz here in Ireland about this visit. Nobody talking about it. People literally don't care. Oh well.

At least she got a new green coat out of it.

itswinetime · 03/03/2020 23:19

Checking in Ready for tomorrow.

Avenger's bra Grin

TheYearOfTheDog · 03/03/2020 23:38

I love the avenger's bra! My mum's wedding dress had that look. She got married in 1968.

@eggandonion Grin I'm sure Prosperous is a great place to be buried!!

what do you do there in the run up to being buried

Annasgirl · 03/03/2020 23:47

Oh ladies I had to come on and say - well done on all the Irish sayings from the last thread - I feel so at home. BTW, I am at home in Ireland, not wearing green (for us it is too "Are Lingus Air Hostess") and have not seen Kate in the flesh.

But they are lovely (lovely girl.....) and they really do "show up" when they do their Royal work so I hope they have a great time here and I hope they get a Cead Mile Failte. And I hope this is the end of the green outfits and the end of visitors going to visit and drink that awful black and white brand that gets tonnes of free publicity thanks to our civil servants organising a trip there for every overseas dignitary. I hope you got the gist of my rant.....

theschoolonthehill · 04/03/2020 00:27

I hope they have a great time here and I hope they get a Cead Mile Failte.

I’m sure they are being ferried around to all the usual spots that visitors to Ireland are brought to. I wonder is it very strange for them not to have people (other than those working wherever they are visiting) waiting to see them. I imagine it may feel odd (or even nice?) when they are used to people clapping and waving little bunting while they do something as ordinary as walk to church? Or perhaps for both parties, this visit is the equivalent of a business meeting that they are all being paid to do and they all just do their job professionally? Poor Kate having to drink that though, she will have gas tonight Grin

theschoolonthehill · 04/03/2020 00:49

I think she often looks tense and she looks so pretty tonight - her hair is really nice and she has a fabulous smile that lights up her whole face. I know this doesn’t make much sense but I think she looks kind, a kind person.

latedecember1963 · 04/03/2020 06:13

Thanks for the new thread, Queen.
I know what you mean, Theschoolonthehill.
Kate strikes me as the kind of friend you could always rely on in good times and bad.

JayAlfredPrufrock · 04/03/2020 06:29

Kate would probably fall over pissed if she downed a pint of Guinness.

AppleKatie · 04/03/2020 06:47

Do we know how much she drank? Surely not the pint?

I agree though she does have the advantage of looking relatable, kind and the sort of person you’d want to be friends with. I hope she is in rl!

Thanks @frugalkitty 😊

hopeishere · 04/03/2020 06:53

I like the dress last night but not the colour. I agree the shoes don't go but what would work with it?

Spudlet · 04/03/2020 07:11

She does suit green, but someone needs to tell her that other colours are available, even on that side of the Irish Sea....

CanIHaveATiaraPlease · 04/03/2020 07:40

@AppleKatie Flowers here if you need a chat.

banivani · 04/03/2020 08:10

Popping on to say thank you for new thread and I absolutely disagree that DoC needs to wear nail varnish to look "done". Down with nail varnish tyranny I say.

banivani · 04/03/2020 08:15

Also pmsl at "lovely girl" Grin

mathanxiety · 04/03/2020 08:30

I kinda like that green evening dress, and loved her green coat.

queenofarles · 04/03/2020 08:40

I liked her in TVW Dress, they are built that way around the chest area but on her it looks more 1950s bullet bra , maybe they’ve added some padding to the dress, to fill it up,

QueenOfTheAndals · 04/03/2020 09:12

Agree that nail polish isn't needed to look "finished" @banivani but I think a dress by TVW just cries out for a dark nail! And imagine the fun as we watched the tabloids twist themselves to excuse vampy nail polish on Kate when on Meghan it was "breaking protocol"!!

Seen it on another thread and thought you all might appreciate it, apparently yesterday’s headband wasn’t a random choice:

Her eyes they shown like diamonds
I thought her the queen of the land
And her hair, it hung over her shoulder
Tied up with a black velvet band
