Phaedon rue des Lilas is sotm. I don't like it - it reminds me of those horrible scented panty liners. I bought a partially used bottle off eBay and that's where it's going back to.

Gorgeous cat pic and gorgeous review, Judy. Bravo on such a successful first blind buy. Those notes do sounds very, very tempting even without the Jane Birkin connection. This is one of those scents I'm slightly embarrassed to admit I've never smelt, but also suspect I'd love.

SOTD was Avon Far Away. This is a short-lived floral, with a sour fruit note that I really like. However, on reading up on Fragrantica, nobody else seems to have got the sour fruit, so now I’m wondering if some of the notes have gone off!

Flora, I’m so sad for you. Especially when it’s so difficult to have a heart to heart with a friend or relative. 💐

SOTD is Diptyque 34. I needed a bit of extra oomph to work up the courage to address a tax thing. I haven't bought or tried any new perfume for ages!

Ds2 picked lilacs from the garden for me yesterday...blimey they are strong!!

For the May calendar, how about we mix and match it a bit? So we could on each of “our” days talk about three favourite perfumes and, just for fun, one that we dislike? No hard rules, though, so if anyone would prefer just to do one, as before, then that’s fine. I suggested it to MrsP (she was happy with the idea) and asked me to put it on the open forum.

SOTD Rose Rondeaux but going to add an evening spray of Beyond Rose as it’s nearly gone.

Malle Une Rose perfume is Sotd and l'occitane Lavender sprayed on arms and t shirt. I really love the combination of the two.

@teta ah, another Nose customer. I’ve whiled away many an hour in their shop and my basket always has lots of samples in it. Including the 4th monocle scent at the moment.

@Calmasasleepycat really happy to read (and write) calendar entries that aren’t just a single scent review. I like to see different approaches.

Liking the historical detail Pears - that rose sounds gorgeous. Was very impressed by Prosody's Mocha.

Given rose is theme of the day, I'm back in Aldi's Scarlett Rose which I continue to enjoy.
