Evening all - SOTD was 4160 Year of the Sugar Mouse. Mother, agree about the CBC resemblance. It's also got a hint of BR540 about it with the burnt sugar. Quite liking it but it's not a love.

Just been catching up on the old thread and have been tempted into a sample purchase of Sira des Indes by Calm - sounds right up my street.

cantbelieve, I do hope you like the Sira Des Indes. I’m a bit concerned because I don’t think I mentioned in my post the initial whiff of something like baby poo! it’s really worth persevering, though.

I wore 4160Tuesdays Red Queen yesterday. To be honest, I had always thought of this as lovely but not special, but yesterday I found it breathtakingly beautiful, no idea why. It is a resinous rose, raspberry and incense. It reminds me of Clinique Beyond Rose, although that one is not fruity.

Today I wore Paris 1948, another 4160Tuesdays. It is a dry peach chypre, with lots of lovely oak moss.

SOTD MMM By The Fireplace. In direct contrast,I got some Tom Ford Soleil Blanc today, with my Boots points - it’s 15% off fragrance there at the mo. The sales assistant called it Swalley Blank.

SOTD has been Diptyque Eau Duelle EDP, which is such a relaxing but long-lasting scent on me. I love 34, but it just doesn't have the same staying power.

Lovely new fragrant thread housework for me this morning, then SOTD will be Youth Dew. I wore Lolita Lempicka perfume yesterday, the one in the lilac apple shaped bottle and two people commented on how nice it was. Only got a tiny bit left so may have to repurchase. I'd forgotten how lovely it is.

Another major household appliance has failed this am, hot on the heels of the boiler.

For comfort, SotD is Bella Oudh, following on from Trudon's Olim yesterday. 2019 was the year of soft, warm, luxe scents from old European candle houses.
