SOTD was PP Shaalimar again. Lovely. If I just call it Shaaaaaaaalimar in future, you'll know it's the PP version, right?

DD1 had a mega tantrum today for the first time in several years. She is nearly 7 so I was a bit taken aback. I feel I need to get back to basics like wearing perfume, getting dressed in actual clothes (vs 'day pjs' or 'loungewear'), and maybe having a bit more of a schedule. It has all got a bit feral here! So I will see you again tomorrow with a SOTD again and a positive mental attitude! (Where's my 'rictus grin' emoticon?)

Naughty but...ppfffttt.
Dh goes back to work on monday (they are doing phased returns) so hopefully it'll be easier and ds2 will be back in a routine too.

SOTD MMM Lazy Sunday. I had to go into town and collect a repeat prescription from Boots today - it was so awful to see all the boarded up bars and restaurants, and the shops with things no-one can buy.

Loved your entry today Boglins , and agree with your description of what BB's perfume should smell like (especially the Elnett and whiff of tobacco). Interesting to hear about a Tocca - I haven't smelt any, but the notes in Brigitte sound appealing.

I got married somewhere hot, in Ultima II's Sheer Scent. I'd love to find a bottle for old time's sake - but they go for silly money. Never understand why they don't get resurrected when this happens...

Morning all. SOTD is Killer Rose, since we seem to be on a rose trip lately.

Back to work (from home) this morning, after an extended Easter break which I was really looking forward to and then found very depressing once I was in it. Not helped by the fact that we decided to postpone our wedding . Supposed to be getting married in August this year but we've now ended up postponing until end of July 2021. The venue said they couldn't guarantee being open and even if they were they felt it was likely that social distancing would still be in place to some extent, so suggested we change the date. So everything feels a bit deflated and meh at the moment, for a variety of reasons!

I'm so sorry about your wedding, Maud. My sister was going to get married this summer too. It's really tough to have one of the biggest days of your life messed around by coronavirus -- and massively unsettling. Although I'm sure you'll have a beautiful day when it does happen! Have you thought about perfume yet??

Flora, ha ha! Mine is on better form today but 'screaming ab dabs' sums up yesterday nicely. It's pretty hard for them too, isn't it.

SOTD today has been lovely Centrepiece. It looks as though we are going to go and move in with my mother for the coming month. Her mother (my grandmother) has just passed away and I think we could both use some company. I am also going nuts stuck with two kids and no grown up company. So I am trying to pick some perfume to bring with me.

Kali, I looked a while back at getting a Tocca sampler as I liked the sound of Stella and one of the others but think they're discontinued now. Might have another browse actually! Strong seems to be their MO!

I've just realised I don't have a sotd so am going to spritz a little Acqua di Parma Osmanthus as it's within reach.

Ahhh thanks all Yes it has been unsettling but I do feel a little bit better now the decision has been made, I suppose. Luckily all our suppliers have been amazing and quite happy to just swap to our new date so that's been easy. It will definitely be a good party

I am wearing floor-length, draped, dark red velvet so perfume-wise need something grown-up and vivid, I guess! DP does like rose-based perfumes, so maybe a good spicy rose - La Fille de Berlin, or Une Rose Chypree perhaps?

That dress sounds absolutely amazing Maud - would Noir de Noir be too vampy?

Got my review up and read through the ones I’d missed. Got to keep my shopping fingers away from the MH website... I also love Beyond Rose - I’m a big rose fan but it’s something different entirely. Wasting a day off lounging about messing on my phone, better get on. SOTD Ffern spring obvs. Lots of love Pears.
