SOTD is monarch flower (dupe for harrod royal rose Bond no9). jsut applied it (hate rollerball) and will see how it dries - rose can sometimes be too much for me. this has other flowers there tho not just rose.

Day one of quarantine and I luck dipped RM Dagian. I am not finding it comforting. Fortunately, my sense of smell isn't the best today.

SOTD Byredo Bibliotheque. Weird, weird day. My work cancelled all face to face classes last night, as of this morning. Staff had to go in though. I feel really weepy and sad.

Cabin Fever had set in by around 1.45pm on day 1. (Self-isolating so kids off too).

This is going to be the longest spring ever. Am going to have to resuscitate my secret blog so I can try and keep myself sane waffling away about green scents to myself ...

Mass homeworking today was very strange. Kept imagining everyone else was still in the office. Predictably enough the tech crashed fairly early on but we'll be Skyping in our pyjamas by the end of this...hopefully.

SotD was Lovely; the lavender hints at something medicinal and it is satisfying and comforting in a non-demanding way - so was a good choice. My best high street blind buy in a long time. But really glad TK Maxx are online.

It's only day 4 of self-isolation and our home is in chaos, the kids watched too many cartoons, and I forgot my SOTD!!!! Ok, so tomorrow, I make an effort.

I'm going to wear Diorissimo again. It was just right yesterday. Everything seems to have been cancelled - as from yesterday, apart from schools. I'm presuming those will be soon and Gcse's will be off? Most unis seem to be cancelling the summer term too.
I've thrown out all my ibuprofen and told our family WhatsApp group as well, per medical advice .
I'm trying to work out how to occupy my teenagers and student kids. We're getting involved in the local community, to assist the members that need help. Also can I implore that you contribute to your local food Bank? As so many more individuals will need help now. It will be so hard for small businesses and staff will be laid off. I know some of us here are in that situation.🥀

Urgh. I've not posted for a while. Everything feels too shit. Still working as nursery hasn't closed and I'm in an essential role.

Sisters wedding likely off. Only scheduled for this spring to ensure my dad could be there.
My holiday is off.
Dad is minimising contact but not self isolating as his view is "if I only have 12 months to live I'm not spending 3 of them away from you all". He's right. But the fact that is our life is so sad.
I'm going to grow out my fringe as doubt fringe trims will be an option. I love my fringe.
I also love my kids but if I'm stuck inside with them for weeks on end I'll lose my mind. I am not a kids activity kind of person. We also reply on public transport so even if not locked down our sphere will be v limited.

Sigh.

SOTD is LE no15. Feels like spring is round the corner so limited days to enjoy this.

And .....it starts. Teenage son has cold n cough. Waiting to hear from him as he's boarding.

My standards are gradually slipping. Still showering and wearing clean clothes each day, but not bothering with a bra. In another week I'll probably be living in a pair of stinky old PJs.
I'm assuming if I've got it now, I'll be immune so can go out and about as soon as we're through quarantine.

ugh 12 weeks, 12 WEEKS i have to go into isolation for because im in two, yes TWO, of the most at risk groups who have been told this is now recommended as of friday. I MAY GO INSANE. Please excuse waffling and general fuckwittery while my mind slowly leeches out of my earholes. At least i will smell nice haha

SOTD is Scherzo by Miller Harris. Love it although I forgot it's better on me in warmer weather. Dammit, even if I am wearing slippers all day and never seeing another grown up, I can still make a minor effort!

pots and yoikes, I'm sorry to hear about your holidays :-(

pots, have you considered ordering some hair cutting scissors and a Kent comb from Amazon and giving your fringe a trim yourself? I do this regularly and it's not as good as the hairdressed but it's not bad at all.
