That's a great soft knit on Kate, the colour is flattering.

VeniceBeach · 12/02/2020 18:20

She changed her jacket and boots for the Aberdeen visit – I like this version so much more!

It’s a lovely look, good colour on her and looks warm and appropriate.

QueenOfTheAndals · 12/02/2020 18:23

Busy day for Kate! I guess she's getting the engagements in now so she can be at Anmer with the children all next week.

I like the longer line jacket on Kate - it looks fabulous with her height and so much better than those short blazers that she sometimes wears. Really like the soft-knit lavender-blue jumper.

(hope that this site is not going to pick up the buttons bullying of those conspiracy sites)

CanIHaveATiaraPlease · 12/02/2020 18:32

I love the Aberdeen look. Agree about Barbours getting better with age.

Spudlet · 12/02/2020 19:25

The blue jacket is nice, but she’d have looked daft wearing it on a farm. Her Barbour was perfect for that section of her day. Smile

thisenglishlife · 12/02/2020 19:34

It was a zoo style farm though, not a mucky muddy farm and I guess that you could wear the blue coat to one of them?

Spudlet · 12/02/2020 19:42

A tad Lady Muck though, don’t you think...? She was feeding lambs and playing with little children, I don’t think a pale blue jacket would have been a good choice. She could get stuck in with her Barbour on and not have to be prissy about getting a bit of mud or sheep shit on her, then get changed later.

RomaineCalm · 12/02/2020 19:57

I like both versions of today's outfit and both appropriate for the visits.

Kate really does look in her element on days like this - very happy and relaxed.

VeniceBeach · 12/02/2020 20:13

I didn’t realise she’d changed out of her Barbour for the later visit when I posted my initial comment about her being too causal 😬

Lunde · 12/02/2020 20:15

Having seen what she did at the farm/zoo - handing snakes, petting alpacas, checking out hedgehogs and helping preschoolers feed baby lambs - she made the right choice to wear an outdoor jacket and save the posher clothes for Aberdeen

The Barbour is the better choice, but I did all this recently at a similar type of farm and all the female visitors were wearing wool coats.

The Countess of Wessex has visited children and carers at Shooting Star Children’s Hospices this afternoon.

To mark the 15th Anniversary of SafeLives (charity dedicated to ending domestic abuse) this year, The Duchess of Cornwall hosted a reception for frontline staff, professionals and survivors at Clarence House today.

Leti's blue dress upthread is a perfect fit. I noticed on NMR that someone described the colour of that pink ballgown as Pepto-Bismol. Grin

VeniceBeach · 12/02/2020 22:17

As per the What Kate Wore blog:

The jacket is a Reiss repeat from 2013.

The blue jumper is a cashmere from Pure Collection at John Lewis.

She also wore this khaki puffer from Seeland under the Barbour.

The black ankle boots are Russel and Bromley.

The earrings are Catherine Zailand.

What buttons conspiracy? Do you mean that they are morse code or somesuch?

The thing with a Barbour is that they can go anywhere, that said the blue wool jacket suits her very well. I think she could wear trousers much more often.

VeniceBeach · 12/02/2020 22:18

Catherine Zoraida, sorry!

VeniceBeach · 12/02/2020 22:20

Just noticed that her hair seems much more nicely curled today... more like waves than the big sausage curls.

frugalkitty · 12/02/2020 23:26

I really like Camilla's dress today, and the DM article (I know) is worth a read. I don't think I knew that more young women die as a result of domestic abuse/violence than from cancer.

QueenOfTheAndals · 12/02/2020 23:28

Sadly that sounds about right @frugalkitty.

Lunde · 13/02/2020 00:28

I'm not sure that I like the white pleats on Camilla's dress - I think they would have been nicer in a jewel tone such as green, purple or even red.

I like Kate in her grey long line jacket and soft lilac cashmere jumper today, a very pretty combination I think. She looks snug and warm too!

I also approve of the jacket being a rewear, Kate gets extra brownie points for that. Star Star

MotherofPearl · 13/02/2020 06:10

I like Camilla's dress, white pleats and all, but for the love of God, stop murdering outfits with those wretched black boots!

I'm lukewarm about Kate's outfits yesterday. I like the Barbour and the skinnies were fine, but I didn't like the jumper or the light blue jacket, which to me made her look longer in the body - the opposite of what she needs imo.

Rhubarbisevil · 13/02/2020 06:40

Going back to the previous page, Penelope Chilvers boots are very tight fitting round the calf. You definitely need light weight skinnies to be able to zip them up up.
