Agree 100% @Horsemad! I'm always mystified by Brits and their desire to do things like camping in Wales or the Peaks in October!

The last time I camped was many years ago when my DS had to have a parent accompany them to camp at the Beaver camp, (all children had to be accompanied). DH was working that weekend, the lucky devil.
Was only one night but blimey, that was enough! 😆

Spudlet · 16/02/2020 19:03

MM does do that polished but not so’s you’d notice it casual look very well. I envy her ability to do that very much!

However I feel a hat intervention may need to be staged for Harry. Back away from the baseball caps, Sussex...

program on 5HD now about queen's jewels...

BigGreenOlives · 16/02/2020 19:09

@Horsemad I’m the same. I’ve only ever camped so my children could go on Beaver Camp. I will forever be grateful to Martin & Linda for running our local Beaver, Cubs & Scout packs until they retired.

SenecaFallsRedux · 16/02/2020 19:31

I married an outdoorsy guy and then proceeded to have outdoorsy children. I went on one camping trip with the family when they were small,, and it was like something out of a sitcom. Never again. But I like a fair bit of solitude so I was always happy for them to go without me after that.

I noticed that too. He's definitely rocking a more, how to put it, North American look. Smile

EmGee · 16/02/2020 20:46

I really enjoyed reading the DoC transcript. Thought she came across as very committed, sincere and genuine.

Re the 'I was like', 'they were like'......what would Miriam Margoyles have to say about that?! (Anyone seen the Graham Norton show with her and Will.I.Am? It's pure gold!)

alliwantisagoodnightssleep · 16/02/2020 20:56

Watching the Royal Jewels programme and have come to the conclusion that Ingrid Seward’s accent has got to be put on!

MotherofPearl · 16/02/2020 21:33

I can’t think of anything worse than camping. It would be a relationship red flag.

Grin

I'm a camping refuser too. I'm utterly perplexed why anyone does it. Why leave my lovely cosy home, warm bed and private en suite bathroom to sleep on the floor in a draughty tent, and have to use shared bathroom facilities?

MotherofPearl · 16/02/2020 21:36

Back to fashion. Here's Sophie out and about on Valentine's Day. The dress is VB. I wish she'd wear her up-dos a little higher up - that low ponytail style looks a little dowdy to me.

Unsung heroine of the royals is Sophie IMO

StCharlotte · 16/02/2020 22:13

Agreed re Sophie's hair. I also think she needs a fringe as she has a rather unfortunate hairline. I do love her though Smile

StCharlotte · 16/02/2020 22:21

Or something like Leti had which would work without a fringe (and would still work with a tiara - not something I need to worry about. Dammit.).

Loved Letizia's bob, it looked so chic and fresh!

Some touching photos of CPV with a little girl who has cancer and had expressed a wish to meet her. I think Victoria will make an excellent monarch.

StCharlotte · 16/02/2020 22:39

And a lovely frock on CPV.

imagines Kate googling as we speak

CanIHaveATiaraPlease · 17/02/2020 08:00

That’s very touching. I love the dresses on those 2 little girls.

BlingLoving · 17/02/2020 08:16

The CPV thing was just lovely and every little outfit and big outfit was fab. How incredibly sweet.

beanaseireann · 17/02/2020 08:20

Never mind CPV's dress, which is very nice, aren't Emilia and Maja's dresses beautiful.
Very Royal stylish.
Princess Charlotte would look lovely in one.
Mind you, Sweden in February and no sleeves. Brrrrr
Hopefully Banviani will be on the thread later and can tell us where the dresses are from.

AngelaScandal · 17/02/2020 08:35

I love CPV

QueenOfTheAndals · 17/02/2020 09:18

I think that visit probably touched on something personal for CPV as the little girl is about the same age as Estelle.

OP posts:
TSSDNCOP · 17/02/2020 11:32

Sophie and I have similar shaped heads that really do not suit long hair pulled into an updo, looks like one is wearing a box. I like her hair shorter.

banivani · 17/02/2020 11:45

Girls, I can tell you nothing about the dresses I'm afraid, I've lost my way when it comes to little girl dresses. And CPV:s rings a bell as a rewear, but I'm not interested enough I don't know for sure. Maybe By Malina?

Thanks for the new thread Queen, which has been going on a bit admittedly ;) I'll celebrate with a greatest hit video, which is PM and Chris on the Skavlan talk show (with Jamie Oliver and Adele!). About 30.50 minutes in is PM:s famous gesture to tell her husband to fix his hair.

WillowySnicket · 17/02/2020 12:32

The colour scheme and pattern on Sophie's dress is a touch "London2012 olympics uniform" for my taste...
