Are you wearing bootcut jeans/trousers again?

I'm seeing them everywhere at the moment. Does this mean I can dig out the ones at the back of my wardrobe again??😊

Sorry what do you mean again, I never stopped Smile

choppolata · 04/02/2020 20:34

I wore mine today, couldn't stop looking at my tiny feet!!

KiteflyingKat · 04/02/2020 20:45

Mine went a while ago because they were all very very low rise and I now prefer higher waisted.
I much prefer slimmer, ankle grazer styles - have memories of bootcuts not being ideal on rainy days Grin

ItFigures · 04/02/2020 20:47

I love the massively flared 70s style jeans. Have recently bought a few pairs and love them.

Shamazing · 04/02/2020 20:48

My old ones are low rise too but the ones I saw today all seem to be quite high waisted so I'm guessing that's the 'modern' take on them.

They weren't too bad first time around, but they don't look good worn cropped.

I prefer narrow-fit boyfriend cut out of all the jean shapes I think.

ElloBrian · 04/02/2020 20:55

Nope. No way. Not flattering first time round, certainly won’t be flattering now !

potbellend · 04/02/2020 20:55

No.fucking.way.

AuntieStella · 04/02/2020 20:58

No

RedRec · 04/02/2020 21:02

I never stopped. They are the most flattering shape for me.

Pinkyrosie · 04/02/2020 21:04

God no Confused

MorrisZapp · 04/02/2020 21:06

No freaking way. They look amazing on tall leggy types but not on my short ass.

Also, on dress down type days (trainers, parkas, possible rain) they make you look like a hobo.

whimbrel · 04/02/2020 21:09

No way. Hideous

YouWereRight · 04/02/2020 21:11

No, but I am wearing mum and straight legged jeans.

Shamazing · 04/02/2020 21:11

No.fucking.way. Could you be a bit clearer? 😂😂

I wore a pair the other day. The zip was about an inch long so probably low rise too.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 04/02/2020 21:59

I tried on straight jeans the other day and went dear god, the beauty! I am short and my thighs are chunky but my ankles are spindly - skinny jeans were not a good look on me! I fucking love baggier jeans. They’re so comfy too. Haven’t quite (re)embraced Topshop’s 90s bootcut jeans yet, though!

JKScot4 · 04/02/2020 22:01

Nope, no, no way
So middle aged mummy jeans, always were always will be. Plenty other styles out there 🙄

IFeelItComing · 04/02/2020 22:02

I have a pair and I think they look quite good on.
Then I see a photo. They really don't suit me. I'm 5'6 but short legs.

LizzieSiddal · 04/02/2020 22:05

Yes I’ve got mine back out. Plus I’ve got some great wide legged cords- very 1930s and I bloody love them.

pictish · 04/02/2020 22:06

Never stopped wearing them to be honest...I always wear a flared or bootcut pair of cords or jeans as they go with my style of dress. Anything else feels and looks wrong (with the exception of skinny jeans tucked into long boots).
I have never cared that they went right out of fashion.

whatswithtodaytoday · 04/02/2020 22:08

I never stopped, but yes I'm wearing them and loving then being back in fashion. Can we get proper kick flares back now please?

I'm average height but with long, fairly slim legs and big boobs, I think they balance me out.

pictish · 04/02/2020 22:09

Also sporting the wide leg cords atm actually. Loving those. So comfy and effortlessly chic. Get compliments every time I wear them.

pictish · 04/02/2020 22:10

Well...the cords do, not me. Sounded right up my own arse there...it’s the trousers they compliment. I’m just in them.

MayorPrentiss · 04/02/2020 22:11

Lizzie where are your wide legged cords from? Am looking for some at the moment!
