Are you wearing bootcut jeans/trousers again?

I'm seeing them everywhere at the moment. Does this mean I can dig out the ones at the back of my wardrobe again??😊

I think all cuts of jean are valid. What suits you depends on your shape and personal style.

Alas my tweed wide legs are from the misty depths of my own wardrobe. Toast, I think. Or possibly even... House of Bruar! OK I HAVE SHAME BUT ALSO... GREAT TROUSERS.

If worn right bootcut are very flattering ! .. I work in women's fashion and I've seen loads of women look amazing in them .. the chore is you really need to wear a heeled boot which is tiresome so I would only wear them on a night out but you run the risk of looking like you don't realise they went out of fashion because alot of people won't know they are back in( if that makes any sense) ! They make my legs look much longer and I can't wear skinny jeans woth a heel because I'm too hoursglass. 😬

I work in a university and a lot of young girls are wearing them. I've even seen a few baggy all the way down jeans ! They also wear those black stretchy bootcut trousers from Topshop and Mom Jeans. I don't see many skinny jeans really.

Current boot cuts are high waisted. Low waisted look all kinds of wrong. There is some weird misconception that bootcut suit everyone. They don't. If you are short and curvy, the flare doesn't not 'balance out' your things/bum. They just make you look dumpy and accentuate the big areas by contrasting them with the knees which go in. Shorter, heavier figures look better in a straight jean.

I love them. I have loads of pairs. Haven't really stopped wearing mine tbh.

..and that's complete rubbish about having to wear with a heel. They look fab with loads of things, including trainers.
In fact, its with a heel that makes them look dated imo.

but then, I love the retro 70's look so I love a little bit of a flare.

Wore a pair of velvet ones today with a missoni style long cardi. I have no idea if I look fashionable but I liked the combination so I don’t really care.

I haven't seen anyone in them. I live in a city with many colleges and universities too.

I had a pair of lovely M & S Autograph boot cut Jeans, I wore them until they practically fell apart. Used to wear them with wedges or platform wedges in summer & pointy high heeled boots in winter, had to have a heel so I didn't need to shorten them.

I live in a large university town, I see lots of women in skinnies & some in high waist mom jeans rolled up.

None in bootcut or flares though.

I dont think I've seen anyone wearing jeans like in that Elle link. Mostly see the mom Jean's or high waisted skinnies.

I think those styles in Elle will take a while to filter down to normal people wearing them but it will happen it always does.

Personally I prefer a straight leg

Although I do have a pair of wide leg cropped jeans that I was glued into last summer and looking forward to wearing again

Skinnies are shocking on me.

I'm plus sized and have spent the last few years in "skinnies", tried on a pair of bootleg jeans today again and oh! the revelation! I love bootleg jeans again, they are far more flattering and kinder to my apple shaped body. I love them!

I was on a mission for bootleg jeans last week and my daughter ended up getting a pair that looked stunning on her, they looked less good on me but I haven’t given up. Still want to get a pair but now low rise or too stretch.

Any brand recommendations v welcome please!

I have been giving my skinny kickflares an occasional outing, love them with my cowboy boots . But bootcut are too halfway house for me and the cropped ones are awful.

Cropped boot cut jeans are an abomination. Flares, on the other hand, look fab. I've got a black wash pair which I wear with my New Rocks. Feel like I'm 19 again . But I'm fairly tall and have a big bust so they balance me out.

I never stopped wearing them. Like a PP I have bog boobs, and longish slim legs and they suit me a lot better than skinnies.i do own a pair of skinny jeans but my calves are really thin (and a bit disproportionate compared to my apple shaped middle) and they accentuate that, plus most footwear that I put with them make me feet look massive like clown feet. I choose to wear what suits me best, instead of wearing something which is in fashion but makes me look bad.
