Now. A request. Can we please keep this to critiquing the clothes rather than the wearer?

So if you want to talk about what Meghan's wearing then fine, go ahead. I'm not even saying you have to like everything she wears. This applies to all royal women - if you don't like an outfit then do feel free to say so.

But if you want to talk about "Megxit" then please go to one of the many many other MN threads about it and leave us to our clothes chatter!

Purple is a very royal colour, Queen. In fact, according to t'internet, Elizabeth l forbade anyone but close family to wear it.

Queen that's a lovely outfit but I couldn't wear the jumper, as I'd end up having a fight with it as the neck (although looks pretty) would end up doing my head in.
I'm quite sensitive to how seams, folds, drapes, labels hang & feel.
DD is the same, she cuts her clothes labels out.

I don't know why she's so fond of that brooch, it's hideous!

She does like a bit of basketwork though.

Harry and Charles were involved separately in events earlier in the day and neither were billed as the hosts of the reception at Bp so I don't think they will be there.

William, Kate, Anne and the Wessex's are on duty tonight..extra credit to Sophie working on her birthday. Hopefully there will be pictures of everyone not just Kate and if we are very lucky Sophie still has a lock on the double breasted suit cupboard.

Unless it has happened already and there are no pictures it's evening wear time of day....will there be some bling?

I'm hoping all this recent messiness will all turn out to Sophies advantage. Some of her patronages are really quite important and she hasnt gotten much press in years. Hopefully she (and they) will get more spotlight now.

Sophie has such a gorgeous figure & looks far younger than 55.
The red dress suits her too & I like her hair.

I like what I can see of Sophie's dress but can't figure out those shoes. Oyster coloured velvet? Or am I losing my mind?

I have been trying to figure out the shoes and yes oyster coloured velvet is the best I can think to describe them hopefully there will be some better shots later.

Borris has just arrived so I'm guessing William and Kate will be soon
