Help me choose an amazing dress

I 'may' be having a significant birthday soon. I was hoping to get a dress made but two local dressmakers have proven useless, so might want to buy one instead.

I'm size 14, used to be hourglass but now a bit rounder, busty. I'm very fussy! I want something that feels dressy but could equally well just be worn with ankle boots and a biker jacket to the pub. Would prefer it to have at least short sleeves, and not be polyester. Black or red probably my best colours, or maybe a dark print.

Budget up to about £200 for something really amazing.

No to a bolero or shrug. I definitely want sleeves.

The TB one is pretty but would look awful on me.

The black mini one is cute but too short.

Might this suit - I think it would look fabulous with biker jacket & DMs, but could equally well be dressed up.

Some decent dresses on Wolf & Badger with sleeves. Sorry. but I don't like any of them so far (and I don't like Phase Eight and I don't like Debenhams - sorry!).

Some of them are far too dressy - like that long red one. Some of them are far too high necked. Some of them are too loud - Sadik, I like the shape of yours but not the print. None of them are 'me'.

No to a sleeveless one with an All Saints knit over - it just adds a layer of complication and never looks quite right on me.

I think you want a casual/day dress rather than formal/evening wear, but from a high end brand with something a bit quirky?
