I saw another thread that Borjois is going to be discontinued in the UK and googling shows that it's true Sad

www.google.com/amp/s/www.cosmopolitan.com/uk/beauty-hair/makeup/amp30056261/bourjois-discontinued-uk/

I love their 123 foundation and CC cream as well as their clubbing liquid eyeliner, can anyone recommend alternatives?

Slight derail but anyone know if Garnier under eye roll on is still stocked anywhere? It’s the one with the metal roller ball and with caffeine.

MustardScreams · 07/12/2019 14:53

@lilgreen I’m pretty sure that has also been discontinued as well unfortunately.

dontalltalkatonce · 07/12/2019 14:54

Nooooooooo

lilgreen · 07/12/2019 14:55

Oh ffs ! I did ask in Boots and they said they hadn’t had it for ages.Shock

Musmerian · 07/12/2019 15:23

@IrishMamaMia - yes I’ve been buying their mascara for years. Far better than any expensive stuff and usually 3 for 2 in Superdrug. Gutted.

Roselilly36 · 07/12/2019 16:33

How dare you! I hope we don’t share a local Boots 😆 that’s the shade I have been buying for years, save some for me!

oneofthose · 07/12/2019 17:03

Very sad!! I've just ordered 10 bottles of their 123 foundation to stock up! £7 each from strawberrynet.com never heard of them before but they have 9.2 rating on trust pilot and paid through PayPal so hope they're legit.
They were in the sale and had my shade.

Cocolapew · 07/12/2019 17:06

Superdrug is selling it half price atm

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 07/12/2019 17:42

Our local superdrug doesn't have a stand so maybe this is why. Gutted love their stuff.

Sarcelle · 07/12/2019 17:48

@oneofthose I have ordered from them before, although not for a few years. No problems. It comes from abroad, outside of Europe. I don't think you are liable for import tax etc but best check.

WellTidy · 07/12/2019 17:53

Those who like the Bourjois blushers, is it the little round pots that you like or a different blusher? I bought one of the little round pots and I find that barely any product comes out when I use a brush on it and barely any product then seems to be on my face.

lilgreen · 07/12/2019 18:24

I use the little pots @welltidy Got one today and barely brushed the product and got a nice colour on my cheeks.

HisBetterHalf · 07/12/2019 18:27

No doubt this is due to BREXIT too Grin

BennyTheBall · 07/12/2019 18:57

Noooo! I love their healthy mix foundation, and about 8 of my friends who asked me what I use, wear it too.

Minky35 · 07/12/2019 18:57

Oh god I love their blusher which I found as a replacement for a discontinued no7 colour. I was looking yesterday and wondered why they weren’t selling varnishes 😥

BestIsWest · 07/12/2019 22:55

Oh no! I love their smoky eye pencil. Must stock up tomorrow.

Claphands · 07/12/2019 22:57

FGS, I wear the 123 foundation after the 10 hour sleep was discontinued, I hate it when this happens!

formerbabe · 07/12/2019 23:36

I love their city radiance foundation and the blushers...noooooo

TurnipToffee · 08/12/2019 07:58

Damn, use the Delice de Poudre. Trip to Boots needed.

Trewser · 08/12/2019 08:19

Fashion conscious dd17 says she's not surprised. Shame they didn't modernise.

TheCanterburyWhales · 08/12/2019 08:23

Careful with strawberry.net as you can be stung for import duty I ordered from them years ago (before discovering places like allbeauty etc) and paid £20 in duty when I got called to the Post Office.

I love Bourjois and have since the 80s. Agree though that maybe they've fallen between 2 stools re USP, in that they're not cheap as chips but they're not Clinique etc either. I'd put them with Revlon and L'Oreal for price, and love them though I do, would only buy on a 3x2.

Health Mix never worked for me as was too dark/yellow but it was a dupe for Chanel Vitalumiere.

I first discovered Bourjois in the 80s and used a pale pink matte lipstick (trying to emulate Wendy James of Transvision Vamp!) and something called Blanc de Base which I realise now was a primer before anyone had coined the term. Also the pressed powder which smelled of vanilla. Wonderful.

lilgreen · 08/12/2019 08:26

The little pot of blushers smells lovely. Smoky eye pencil? Will have to go back. My teens stole my bronzer that looks like a chocolate bar and have repurchased it but don’t think they buy anything else.

BusterGonad · 08/12/2019 08:39

But surely its not just teenagers who buy make up? Wouldn't a 40 year old women have more disposable income than a 17 year old? I certainly buy more make up now then when I was 17. I think my most make up spendy time was early 20s to 30s.

Trewser · 08/12/2019 08:40

I barely buy any (in my 50s).

Trewser · 08/12/2019 08:41

I spend on good foundation and mascara then all the twiddly bits are cheap. Since I've discovered Nivea tinted lip balms I don't buy expensive lip gloss any more either!
