Borjois being discontinued in the UK

I saw another thread that Borjois is going to be discontinued in the UK and googling shows that it's true Sad

www.google.com/amp/s/www.cosmopolitan.com/uk/beauty-hair/makeup/amp30056261/bourjois-discontinued-uk/

I love their 123 foundation and CC cream as well as their clubbing liquid eyeliner, can anyone recommend alternatives?

@DippyAvocado second the Boots No7 Hydraluminous recommendation. I went from HM to that and I think it’s far better.

frugalkitty · 07/12/2019 09:21

Thanks for the heads up, I've just ordered three blushers on the boots 3 for 2.

For my 17th birthday way back when my mum treated me to some bourjois make up, my first 'grown up' brand and I've used the blushers ever since.

Juancornetto · 07/12/2019 09:22

I'm glad I'm not the only one who rates it, when I saw it was being discontinued I thought I must be so out of touch for having my go to brand being such an unpopular one. I'm going to stock up and then probably try Number 7 as an alternative.

I really don't like no 7 foundations despite it being my perfect shade match,I think they're expensive for what they are and last about 2 hours on my faceSad

I mix healthy mix with ELDW for the perfect shade and formula. I've just ordered 4 bottles from eBay and will hunt for an alternative.

which1 · 07/12/2019 09:58

Their blusher is really good.

This healthy mix everyone talks about- is that the dupe of Armani Luminous?

Mackerz · 07/12/2019 10:04

Oh shit. Best stock up. Bronzer / blush and their single eyeshadow pots.

Wonder if we’ll still be able to buy online from abroad?

Sooverthemill · 07/12/2019 10:09

M&S stock it. As they also stock many brands not otherwise available in UK maybe they will, continue to do so?

BlessedBeTheFruitCake · 07/12/2019 10:23

Oh no, such a shame. I've used their little blushers for years now.

lilgreen · 07/12/2019 10:24

Why??????

lilgreen · 07/12/2019 10:25

Love the little blusher pots. So cute and last ages! The 123 CC cream is brill too.

WeCameToDanceWithTheDead · 07/12/2019 10:32

Armani luminous silk or Nars sheer glow are pretty similar to healthy mix although not the same price point.
It's a massive shame. The first 'grown up' eyeshadow I ever owned was a little round pot. They make very good make up for the price point. I don't think I've ever bought a bad product from them. Some I've not liked as much as others but never bad. Sad

SummerLove2306 · 07/12/2019 10:33

I used to use healthy mix, but have moved to the revolution hydrate and conceal. It's £9 from Superdrug.

WhereverIMayRoam · 07/12/2019 10:41

I think possibly they haven’t managed to stay very current though? I mean even just on this thread posters are talking about products they’ve used “for years“ but the competition is so fierce in the so called drugstore price range that companies/brands need to release new products regularly to keep or attract customers.

I’d see them in the same “group” as Rimmel, Maybelline etc but they are at they pricey end I think and don’t seem to release many new products or create a lot of buzz about their offerings in the way those brands do. I think as a brand it’s just become a bit stale really.

SnugglySnerd · 07/12/2019 10:43

I'd better stock up on the rose gold blusher then!

Trewser · 07/12/2019 10:44

Yeah my dds don't buy Bourjois.

slalomsuki · 07/12/2019 10:57

I've just stocked up too as I saw the message. Pity as I like the foundation and some eye shadow combos.

MoonQuake · 07/12/2019 10:59

The CC cream and concealer that I loved has been out of stock in all the Boots and Superdrug’s near me for months. I was ordering it from Amazon but it is now out of stock with that seller, too Sad.

Zinnia · 07/12/2019 11:57

Oh bugger bugger bugger
Rouge Velvet lipstick, liquid liner, blusher, bronzer... Sad
Off to order multiples of all my favourites then!

SteelRiver · 07/12/2019 12:43

I wondered why my local chemist was selling off their stock! I'm really disappointed as I think they make good quality stuff.

Roselilly36 · 07/12/2019 12:54

Their blusher pots are the best, been using it for years.

SheSnapsThenSheFarts · 07/12/2019 12:56

This better not be a rumour just to boost sales!! Just cleaned by local boots out of Lilas D'Or blusher....

PartTimePunk · 07/12/2019 13:09

Shitebags. Healthy mix serum is my favourite foundation. Thanks for the heads up OP - I'll be stocking up.

BusterGonad · 07/12/2019 13:32

This is really sad news, I really like their lipsticks and every Christmas I'd buy their products to get the free box of stuff, usually a lipstick nail polish and eyeshadow trio.

frugalkitty · 07/12/2019 13:37

Boots haven't got the loose powder I like but I found it with 1/3 off on look fantastic, so have ordered three. I'll check out my local boots and Superdrug for any bargains too. It's rather sad I think.

lilgreen · 07/12/2019 14:45

Just been in and bought another little blush pot in ribbon pink. Thanks op.
