Loads of perfumes reduced on Amazon for Black Friday...what should I buy????

lovely i am wary of Amazon perfumes i bought 1881 for a mate and she had to bin as it smelled so odd.

Nice surprise today when a decant I'd ordered on a whim, then forgotten about, turned up. It's V Canto Kashimire. When first sprayed it's borderline scary throwback to unlit ylang joss sticks, with 4160's By the Fireside's geranium note and a nod to the whole MMM By the Fireplace vibe, just without the smokiness. But it quickly calms down into a really rich balsamic (and pretty soporific) fog of vanilla/amber/musk, with a hint of labdanum to give it intriguing depth and save it from being sickly. Will be wearing this with my perfume bottle PJs.

Turns out it's another Paulo Terenzi (also responsible for Bella Oudh in the HN/PS box). This seems to have been the year of perfumes by luxe candle makers .

Then I had a back massage and now smell a bit odd....geranium, neroli and peppermint?

Off to have s bath soon then sote will be something soft and comforting...prob by the fireplace again!!!

I've got the 4160 crowdfunder on the way to try.

On xmas morning I'll have both my special and the joy box!! So...no black friday bargains for me

I've succumbed to the lure of black Friday and bought a bottle of aedes de venustas with 25% off. It seems to be pretty hard to get hold of and out of stock in many places and I really don't trust eBay for expensive new perfumes. I've sold my James Heeley Verveine d Eugenie as it was a shadow of it's former self, so need some bitter greens and rhubarb in my life

Yep mines working . ......Just a bit worried about my blind samples, especially as I appear to have a cold/ cough today and look like someone dug up. Woke up coughing in the middle of the night and had to hunt for my inhaler, which I haven't needed for months.
Sotd is Apercu perfume for a return to bed, fully dressed.

I am on the sofa under a blanket, just about to start knitting a snood for a work colleague who admired mine. I have ridiculously big needles so hopefully should knock it out this afternoon . SOTD is Eau My Soul, liberally applied to aforementioned woolly neck-warmer.

SOTD Black Opium - I am really enjoying this in this freezing weather. Been to get my hair done today, then DP cooked a lovely dinner. Now cosy with a purring cat on my lap (who is making me a bit too hot, tbh).

eddie how does the real BTF compare with the PP version?

SotE is vintage Diorella parfum (lemony-green honeysuckle, a young peach and loads of moss). I only have a dribble of this left and the turbo-charged old atomiser just dispensed most of it , but it is wonderful. Does remind me a bit of the original Eau Sauvage.

To my nose they are pretty much identical, but the pp version lasts far longer!
Maybe it's because its an oil?

I'm going through something of a 70s revival perfume wise. Treated myself to Youth Dew with my Boots advantage points a few weeks ago and got YSL Rive Gauche today with a voucher I got for my birthday. I'd forgotten how lovely rive gauche is...I always associated it with summer holidays for some reason but it smells really crisp and almost fresh snow-like to me now. Just a shame it's like everything else and doesn't last on my skin!
