I think we're on thread no 24 - appropriate for the upcoming advent fun!

FLT was a first try at clouds which chrissie wasn't quite sure of.

It's fizzier than clouds, less soft. Starts off with a Lemon blast then onto vanilla and soft musks. I like it!

Sounds a bit like Lemon Sherbert, which I think is a bit like a modern take on Shalimar?

I prefer it to lemon sherbert. LS has a sour note on my skin

Also feeling down today and that Led by Donkeys video just got me big time. Look after our for us... :-( I had also hoped it wouldn't come to this. I still can't believe that they allowed such a big decision to be made by a nation that thinks Mrs Brown's Boys is the funniest thing on tv

Sotd was jazz club, comfortingly warm and boozy.

I've had no luck finding a sample of traversee du bosphore so I'm off for a look at the 4160 sale, unless anyone knows of any dupes for it?

SOTD Byredo Bibliotheque. I wore my Tatty Devine European necklace to go out for lunch today. The owner of the bistro/restaurant (who we know) admired it and said he would “punch any cunt” that was smug about Brexit today. That sums up how I feel.

Hi all - not being a very good perfumista at the moment, still buried in decorating and apparently unpacking the same things over and over...

I've ordered a 15ml of Year of the Sugar Mouse in the 4160 Tuesdays Mods sale today. Blood orange Crunchie bar fragrance sounds like the sort of thing I need right now. Brexit day has been a funny one.

On this depressingly Brexity day, I've DABT (actually two)...

Bought small bottles of Fluffy Lemon Top and Year of the Sugar Mouse (blind buy) in the 4160 sale! I prefer Fluffy Lemon Top to Clouds so it is practically a bargain as a replacement, right? And I thought Year of the Sugar Mouse sounded like something I might enjoy so am keeping my fingers crossed.

Also bought a small bottle of Diptyque 34 EDT! I adore it and feel so grown up and chic wearing it. It's very versatile and I can happily wear it to work or equally out to dinner if anyone ever takes me out for dinner again

Fluffy Lemon Top thoughts... the initial fizzy blast of lemon is deceptive. It is only fleeting, and then (on me anyway) it gives way to something much subtler. It's apparently got mandarin, vanilla and bergamot notes in it, but to be honest I probably wouldn't notice each individually unless I'd been told they were there. It's a very finely blended harmony! On the sweet side but does not remind me of food, unlike many of Sarah's concoctions. And, on me, smells divine.

FLT is lovely :) i love the lemon blast but agree its fleeting.
Clouds is amazing too...so well crafted, divine. Almost buttery in its softness.
But....my skin evidently doesn't like orris:(
Sigh.
It's SO ££££ and apparently there is none left. Do I keep trying or sell?

I didn't buy anything in the 4160 sale.
Many of the mods were from the JJB and by the time I got to the site the ones I liked were all gone :(

I resisted 4160 having done the 3 for 2 before Christmas. SOTD will be one of the anima Vinci samples I got yesterday (maybe Todo Azul to convince myself it’s All Going To Be Fine).

@teta sesame chan which I already had is weird and wonderful.

Tudo azul is a lot like Freeway with something woody in there and jasmine yang is a sophisticated floral but neither of them ‘big’ enough to be worth the £££ at least on first wearing. Just got period though so smelling may have been a bit off the last few days. Will report back on others...
