It's cold outside so the lovely friendly perfumistas are by the fireplace, sniffing our scarves and dreaming of the desert

I think we're on thread no 24 - appropriate for the upcoming advent fun!

Hope today was ok stinky. Found myself thinking of you every time I sniffed my wrist today - I tried a sample of zoologist civet. Sweet spicy amber. Thought you might enjoy it.

Hi lots thank you for asking x
Bit of a grim day.
That does indeed sound lovely!!!

Stinkyeddie · 25/11/2019 19:12

I find mmm mutiny very strong too fish

FloraMacDonald · 25/11/2019 19:21

SOTM ecsentric 03. SOTA Avery E. One was too spicy, the other too vanilla. Meh.
I am grumpy about everything at the moment.

VeniceBeach · 25/11/2019 21:19

Bit of a tragedy that he's stopped posting again. I thought you meant that Andy used to post on Mumsnet for a second Grin

musicmum75 · 25/11/2019 21:45

SOTD Noir Epices by Frederic Malle. It was a complete impulse buy last week but I absolutely love it.

MrsMoggs · 25/11/2019 22:25

For all we know, Venice...Grin

fishonabicycle · 26/11/2019 07:37

Today will be perfume parlour version of Prada Iris (it's in my desk at work and I forgot to put anything else on this morning). I've got a bit of a liking for Twilly Eau Poivree. Maybe I will buy it ... Not really liking any of my perfumes at the moment, apart from Bottega Veneta, which I am trying to eke out as long as possible.

FloraMacDonald · 26/11/2019 08:29

SOTD is captured by Candlelight. It's annoying me too. Perhaps I need a few perfume-free days to 'reset'.

cloud1183 · 26/11/2019 09:13

I have some John Lewis vouchers and wanted to treat myself to a nice perfume and was thinking of looking at Diptyque. The fragrances I like are usually quite light such as Jo Malone wood sage and sea salt and I also love the Narciso fragrances. I just wondered whether there is a particular diptyque perfume you knew of that would fit this?

teta · 26/11/2019 09:18

In feeling Christmassy today in Wrappings.
I must get my samples sent as I'm no.1 .....eek!

Stinkyeddie · 26/11/2019 09:46

Morning.
Need a shower...then sotd choice...hmm...

KaliforniaDreamz · 26/11/2019 13:21

Fish i love Bottega Veneta too and yeaterday's SOTD was the men's one.
i have ordered a few things from PP so will report back. Their version of Shalimar is in there as i seem to have morphed from leathery loving youngster to 70s hairsprayed woman in a rain mac.

Big love to Stinky and all of you.

Stinkyeddie · 26/11/2019 13:22

Thank you x

Sotd pp by the fireplace

Bottega venetta is lovely stuff :)

MotherOfDragonite · 26/11/2019 14:58

Hugs to you too Stinky. I can't figure out who you are but I assume you are a regular who has name changed. Sorry if I'm being dense!

SOTD is Commodity Gold.

I also passed a Miller Harris shop and spritzed myself with Craft & Graft, which is lovely but not quite me (a bit too sophisticated / right for an evening out... but I never go out any more...)

MotherOfDragonite · 26/11/2019 14:59

Sorry - Craft & Glamour

MotherOfDragonite · 26/11/2019 15:00

cloud, Diptyque are lovely and many of them are along the lines you describe but I have forgotten all the names (I have slightly different taste so own the 'heavier' ones)

Stinkyeddie · 26/11/2019 15:18

(Hooo)

cloud1183 · 26/11/2019 16:10

Thanks motheofdragonite. I checked fragrantica and there is one called Eau De Sens which looks right up my street but I’ll see what it’s like tomorrow. I picked up Miller Harris 100mls Poirier d’un soir today at TKMaxx as a blind buy but at £34 I took the chance. I really like it- glad I took the gamble

fishonabicycle · 26/11/2019 16:34

I love (but can't afford) diptyque figuier.

fishonabicycle · 26/11/2019 16:35

I mean Philosykos! Doh.

teta · 26/11/2019 17:29

Eau De sens is a really good choice and and I think you will love it @cloud1183.
I've just received an eBay complaint - my first ever. Cross with the sticky tape and the residue ( spoils the perfume and it's not suitable for a present) and thought she was getting a cire trudon box when I was selling per 10 ml decant. Bearing in mind she got them for 20 & 12 pounds ......I told her to Google the price !
Humph......some people 🤦🏼‍♀️.
@Maud your advent perfumes have been sent.
I need a stiff drink already .... Abnoxious teenager & a jetlagged H.

Stinkyeddie · 26/11/2019 17:39

Oh I feel your pain teta

MaudBaileysGreenTurban · 26/11/2019 19:57

Hello all, late to the new thread!

teta I'm putting yours in the post tomorrow, apologies, hope it gets to you in time for the 1st!

Stinkyeddie · 26/11/2019 21:55

Sotd extra sexiest scent on the planet ever imho

Can't wait to try my version with added amber! Grin
