Has anyone tried Bella Freud’s perfumes? I’ve rediscovered a free magazine mini I got of ‘Close to My Heart’ and it’s lovely for this time of year – warm and somehow Christmassy.

Now I want to smell the others but there aren’t any samples around and I don’t live near big stores!

venice if you contact BF they will send you cards with the perfumes sprayed on them. I have 1970, and used to have Je T’Aime Jane, plus that mini you have from I think Elle magazine. (Plus a very expensive jumper collection.)

SOTD was Eau My Soul. I don't know what I was thinking, dousing myself in it in the summer... either it smells very different in warm weather, or I was probably terrifying anyone who came too close to me!

Like you, teta, I'm eagerly anticipating the new Ffern. I'm not totally sure whether I'll continue, though, as I don't wear them that much although I do like them.

SOTD is Mitsouko. I'm off for a very grand dinner tonight so rather excited! And talking of grand, I have to say I am jolly tempted by the Perfume Society's Amouage set. I feel as if I shouldn't like these, but I really do. They are so ridiculously indulgent, luxurious and OTT and I could never afford a single bottle on its own, but somehow I have really enjoyed every one I've tried so far. I wonder if it's too late to drop Christmas hints...

Sotd is Apercu. The Arket Oakmoss Perfume oil has arrived. In an enormous box with a tiny tube of perfume. I thought Arket pride themselves on their eco- cred! It's nice and smells like expensive green soap, but Apercu is so much better.

And i have just realised that day 15 entry by ?? was also Anima Vinci Oud Delight hahaha sorry didnt have a chance to read that yesterday!!!!
