I'm so sorry to the poorly, shattered and generally run down segment of our Venn diagram! This is no good! And thank you for all the sympathy. I get DD's blood tests back tomorrow so maybe that will help to figure out what is going on.

SOTD is the totally deluxe, delicious, Captured By Candlelight. There's something very comforting about it but it's also somehow intriguing and exciting. It reminds me very much of a wood panelled living room with a fire going. And a glass of cognac in my hand, and somebody interesting to flirt with :-)

mother was your dd tested for glandular fever? Hope the test results put your mind at rest x

I'm not sure stinky but I hope it was one of the ones included. He reeled off a whole list of acronyms so I think it was quite comprehensive!

Sotd Bvlgari Goldea the night. It's a bit perfume by numbers but it's office friendly and weather appropriate!

Love the review. SOTD is Samphire by Laboratory Perfumes. Nice light & citrussy; exactly what you want on a bright spring day. If only it was!

You were all right! It was glandular fever! I'm hugely relieved. She is still poorly and I'm not sure how long it will take to improve... but thank goodness it's nothing awful.

Oh, that's reassuring mother!
I had it at 18 and it's a really horrible virus.
It's caused by the epstein barr virus and, adide from pain relief the only cure is REST, REST and MORE REST.
If you can, I'd be taking her out of school now for xmas hols to avoid her catching any further nasties/causing complications.

Sotd is Apercu perfume . It's such a beautiful Oakmoss . I tried Knowing and Aromatics Elixir the other day and they're both way too much and not really me. But Apercu is just delightfully understated and beautifully blended. It reminds me of Anaïs Anaïs back in the day but much less floral.
Ds1 has a formal event on so had decided not to go. He's now changed his mind so I have to buy a suit today for tonight. Wish me luck as he's a 13 year old who hates shopping. I once left him to choose some trousers for an interview and he chose cement colour skinnies that were way too tight and totally unwearable. And they were bloody Ralph Lauren.
