That she was off her tits on drugs maybe?

N0tfinished · 02/12/2019 20:26

Oooh Leti's Latest Look. Love it. Herself & SFF seem very hard working, there seem to be lots of events & tours.

She spoke at a recent award show & even though I don't speak Spanish, she was really impressive. More formal than Meghan but very comfortable on the podium.

The Orange one has landed. Full on frock alert!

QueenOfTheAndals · 02/12/2019 20:35

Letizia looks fab! I could see Meghan in something similar, given her love for black and white.

Leti looks amazing. Would a less heavy shoe have been better than a full on leather one?

Letizia used to be a newsreader

thisenglishlife · 02/12/2019 21:21

Loved Leti's dress from last week

It’s a reception for the Madrid Climate change change conference.
I think she’s actually in fancy daywear; hence the leather shoes

"Princess Mette-Marit admitted to meetings with Epstein on several occasions between 2011 and 2013, years after he was convicted for paying an underage girl for sexual services and served nearly 13 months in jail. They were introduced by a mutual acquaintance."

Am I wrong to assume that the security personnel of Royal families would generally do background checks on people they meet with and especially if they're going to their houses etc.

BigGreenOlives · 03/12/2019 06:16

I don’t think they do detailed checks, it would be incredibly expensive & time consuming. I’ve organised events with royal guests held at a palace & I think they do basic security screening. I’ve definitely seen members of the RF introduced to people who have been to prison, don’t know what they were in for & their pasts didn’t crop up as a topic of conversation. We once had a problem with one employee of one sub-contractor but weren’t told why they’d been declined approval.

mathanxiety · 03/12/2019 06:39

Do they not suspect that some of their guests will be social vampires/leeches hoping to use alleged connections, or to use royal patronage or alleged patronage or friendship to further their own agenda and ambitions? In other words, deliberately trying to worm their way into an association that is essentially a case of using them?

It surely doesn't take much common sense to understand that RF members all over Europe lend a lot of cachet to the social circles they move in. His mentor in the business world did 20 years for fraud, with Epstein walking away unscathed.

Do they really think many of their 'friends' would give them the time of day if they weren't HRHs?

QueenOfTheAndals · 03/12/2019 06:45

Leti's skirt is H&M! Bonus SFF and HSPM here and the PM's wife is wearing a great dress too.

Meanwhile Kate better watch out as SWFM has been making appearances in some very Middletonian outfits!

I can’t believe Albert & Charlene spent their wedding Night at different hotels. Things must be pretty bad if you can’t keep up appearances on your wedding night.

MotherofPearl · 03/12/2019 09:47

Those outfits are indeed very Middletonian! Grin SWFM seems to have been out and about a lot recently. We've not seen much of the British RF of late I feel. Perhaps they're lying low because of all the PA stuff. When is the NATO reception? Tonight?

QueenOfTheAndals · 03/12/2019 09:50

No, it's an afternoon thing so it won't be an occasion for a glamorous frock and tiara. The diplomatic reception, which usually is, is later this week but we rarely see photos.

MotherofPearl · 03/12/2019 10:13

Ah now that's disappointing. I'm feeling a bit deprived of really glamorous fashion to discuss!

paradyning · 03/12/2019 11:07

Wow. Love Leti's strappy sandals!! They look bloody sore though

frugalkitty · 03/12/2019 11:12

Tipsey the book has just been delivered, that's cheered up a gloomy day! Thank you, I'm going to save it for over the Christmas holidays Xmas Smile

QueenOfTheAndals · 03/12/2019 11:20

I actually love HSPM's wife's dress and the bright green shoes too!

Hang on, Nobel dinner is coming ... 10/12!

peridito · 03/12/2019 14:00

Quuen I'm not sure about Letizia's look I imagine we need to see it in movement .
The way she's holding her shoulders and arms back looks odd .

This is similar ...for a less formal occasion.

Not liking all those different stripes in the PM's wife's dress .

BlingLoving · 03/12/2019 14:50

Right - threads and threads ago we discussed the precedence thing and if I recall, for the married ones (ladies) it all comes down to whether or not they're with their husbands. On that note, I wonder if we'll see actual video of today's Nato event because it will be interesting to see if Kate comes in at the end (ie last after Queen, Charles, Camilla, Anne and Edward) rather than in her usual spot, with William, after Charles.... (or before if they're doing it in reverse order - seems to depend on event. Church events goes from least important to most important, state dinners the opposite, for example).

We did see Kate seated further away than the queen than someone random like Duke of Kent or something at one event last year, but this one will be more obvious (if we see it).

itswinetime · 03/12/2019 16:58

We had photos of the diplomat reception last year did we? It was Kate's ice blue sparkling dress I thought hopefully we do this year too🤞🏻Unfortunately I'm sure she will stick to the lovers knot tiara so if all we get are car pics it will be pretty boring! I thought the nato thing was this evening what point to they switch from day wear to gowns?

QueenOfTheAndals · 03/12/2019 17:04

Hmm, I heard afternoon on the radio but maybe I misheard. The afternoon is now past so I guess evening and gowns it is!

I wasn't a fan of the ice-blue dress from last year. I really don't think it's Kate's colour.
