Hi everyone,

Following from thread 1 please feel free to tell us about your plus size outfits and post pictures to give us all a bit of inspiration.

Thanks to all who have contributed and made this such a safe space.

Not a great pic but Sainsbury’s fox print shirt under ancient black jumper and M&S courdroy skinnies. Dorothy Perkins oxblood ankle boots.

Shirt is last year but they have another version this year.

Today’s outfit is a new dress from White Stuff and brown knee boots.

This thread would work well as a group on a popular social media site....

Navy cable tights
Black boots from JD Williams (do a good extra wide calf range which isn't £££)
Size 16
5'9
Lost 3 1/2 stone since beginning of year so looking for some ideas as recently cleared out a lot of stuff.
Like Joe Browns but find they can be expensive, anyone got suggestions for tunics/dresses??

I used to buy a fair bit from Yumi before my stupid wardrobe cull. There's a sale at the moment so it might be worth a look. I'm 5'7 and a 14/16 if that helps. Some of the tunic dresses are very short though.

Love Joe Browns but never ordered from them. How's the sizing? I hate ordering from new places as I always get it wrong the first time.

Sizing wise, I normally fit a 16 in Dorothy Perkins/peacocks etc so their sizing seems to be similar, though some of the Joe brown tunics seem to randomly come up smaller sometimes and the fabric quality for some reason can vary.

I'm so pleased with these cropped trousers from Toast! They were a bargain.

Size 18, which is bigger than my usual size. They definitely fit me better I think..? It helps that they're cropped so they don't have to fit my legs iyswim.

The top is an 18 too and sits a lot better, as there's more length in it. I think I've been getting my dress size wrong for ages .

@buckeejit, wave west at me from London! Did you bring me any traybakes ?!

Does anybody have any tips for trousers for someone with 'wide' knees please! My knees are often swollen due to previous injury and I find jeans particularly difficult, they fit everywhere else but bunch around my knees!!!

I have some from Gap, which are nice, but don't really suit me . I am hanging on to them though, as they're comfy and good quality.

Here is my lagenlook jacket! It's one size, and I'm a 20 top, 22 bottom.
It's in the sale at the moment.

It's lovely, but I'm right at the top end, fit wise- it won't take a loose sleeve under it, and the pockets are slightly further behind than they should be.

Oh I like that popcorn. I especially like it worn open. I think it would also look nice over a dress / skirt and tights.

I’m in Burgundy Asda skinny jeans that I got on a charity shop, cream sort of gypsy/smock top which is nicer than it sounds and a faithful old black cardie. I’m wearing black Chelsea boots.

Today I am wearing m&s jeans from a charity shop (£2.50) a fat face hoodie also from a charity shop (4.50) and new balance trainers that were £13 on eBay. Just cleaning today so not dressy!

Oh and size 14-16 and 5'3".

Love all the charity shop finds! I might see if dcs will let me, (yes, let me; I have no control ), have a wee browse in a charity shop between school and activity today.

It depends on your shape. I've bought 2 pairs of jeans recently. If you're more of a pear/hourglass, the Debenhams Principles Yasmin contour jeans are pretty forgiving and stretchy (and on offer), but you're taller than me so you'd need to check the length.
If you're more of an apple/rectangle, the Fat Face Westbury jeans are pretty good (they dont show my knee, complete with varicose vein), and have proper size pockets. They are more expensive though. I would post a picture, but not sure how technophobe.
Thanks for the Joe Browns sizing tip, there's a jacket with my name on. And I forgot to say wow to the weight loss. That's quite impressive. I've been losing and regaining the same stone since 1998!

Have just found this thread, and I'm going to have to go and read all of the first one too. Sometimes Style and Beauty makes me feel deluded for ever thinking it's possible to look nice when carrying a few pounds. This thread shows you can look amazing whatever size.
@Bouledeneige love that dress! Totally my style. @Moominfan you look amazing. I never find bargains like that in the charity shop.

I won't take a pic right now as I'm in dog walking scruffs, but maybe later, once I move off the sofa.

Nancy- do it!!! I very rarely buy new now and my wardrobe is full of much better quality clothes than I would be able to afford new.

This week I got a 100% yellow cashmere scarf which I LOVE, a thick joules top with a sequinned star that will be great for Christmas, a lovely cotton and silk mix navy jumper, a red party dress and a fat face smock top. I'll try and post them!
