Hi everyone,

Following from thread 1 please feel free to tell us about your plus size outfits and post pictures to give us all a bit of inspiration.

Thanks to all who have contributed and made this such a safe space.

Peachy i think you have better charity shops than me!

I do love a charity shop and vowed off NEW, new clothes a few months ago before I was seduced by Lucy & Yak and Sainsbury's. I really do buy mainly secondhand though. Mainly eBay - even my wedding dress was from there! Bloody love it.

Look at those finds though! I think I need to improve my charity shopping skills...

We do have good ones down here in Devon. I rarely come away empty handed.

I'm seeing a lot of good eBay purchases!! Does anyone have any tips on how to filter out stuff? Whenever I search 'size 16/18' in women's clothes it comes up with a whole bunch of 'sponsored' things and they all look like cheap tat made in a factory!

I want actual used clothes from actual people!!

On the advanced search option, you can choose 'clothing' 'used' and 'private seller'. I'm off to see what I get..l

YY, I always filter on eBay so it's only in used condition. I have only very occasionally had something which I thought was a bit worn looking though. Generally it's like new, or almost like new.

I didn't even get my wedding dress cleaned before I wore it. So proud . Honestly, it was pristine! And a beautiful dress imho.

Some great finds there Peachy ! I don’t tend to do that well in charity shops, my sister has had some great finds.

I find with eBay if I search and then select ‘auction’ as opposed to ‘buy it now’ it gets rid of the shitty sponsored stuff. I got a nice red river island dress from there - size 18. Not had call to wear it yet but will get a picture when I do.

I’ve got two eBay purchases on their way - a pair of plain black vans and some Clarks ankle boots. I actually have fairly serious reservations about both - proper buyers remorse. Will see when they get here.

I might have to start a separate thread for this, but it's my birthday today and DH has just surprised me; he's taken the day off work and he, I and our littlest one at the Hand and Flowers!!! I am soooooo excited. I've never been there and I might lose my tiny mind if I see Tom Kerridge as I am a big fan of his.

What the actual fuck am i going to wear? Help! I don't have much time as I've booked DS into the creche at the swimming pool today, so I have to go there too this morning.

Today's outfit. I love this skirt so much. Will team with converse for the walk to work and then chunky boots when I get in the office.

This came up on my fb feed and I thought of you lot

Fat Face Portia ruffle top.
Old White Stuff wrap cord skirt (grey according to the label although it looks green to me).
Wallis fake leather jacket.
Snake Dr Martens from Office.
Enormous cross c/o 90s/2000s goth me.
M&S heatgen tights.
Will have to try and hide a cardi under the jacket or I'll freeze.
And some plum lipstick.

@NancyEspana Happy birthday. The answer to your question is usually the first thing you tried, after trying on everything in your wardrobe or is that just me?

Camisole/vest under the ruffle top, instead of a cardi?

Today is m&s moleskin effect pencil skirt, m&s patterned turtleneck which is navy with yellow blobs/leaves/flowers and a mustardy colour 'balloon sleeve' jumper which has like a navy fleck through it, think it's from Very, with the usual navy cable tights and boots. Looking forward to pay day in a couple of weeks as had a mooch round Sainsbury's last night and like their current stuff.

Will come back and catch up with the thread in a bit - have just done a bit of sneaky online shopping before starting work (from home). Bought these three - I have been eyeing up the pink one for ages and I think someone on here was wearing it the other day?

Thanks @picklemepopcorn, I'll try that first. I have Raynaud's, so I always carry an extra layer just in case.

I'm also adding the frankly ridiculous scarf I crocheted into the mix. I miscalculated the length, so the bobbles touch the floor.
