Pickle, that's my sort of look Smile

AliasGrape · 05/11/2019 15:45

Fabulous outfits everyone - I love that dress mojo and boule that’s a look I really want to channel shall look out for similar dress shapes.

Well today’s outfit I thought was ok until I took the pictures when I got to work and really didn’t like it. I seriously need to get a full length mirror or to do the photos before I leave the house. Goes to show how long I’ve been not caring really - this thread is waking me up!

Anyway it’s very leggings, dotty p’s tunic/dress and I think the jacket was new look - all ancient though. Same old fly London boots - need some other footwear options.

No, that's lovely Grape! Stunning top!

Like it better without the jacket though. So you'll just have to freeze in the name of style! Grin

NancyEspana · 05/11/2019 15:59

You look great grape! Lovely top.

NancyEspana · 05/11/2019 16:00

I also prefer without the jacket, but grudgingly accept you may insist on wearing it seeing as it's Baltic today Halloween Grin.

ShowerOfShite · 05/11/2019 16:00

Hi All
Boule that outfit is gorgeous.
That's the kind of look I'm after Smile

Harem trousers and sloppy old cardigan today as I'm slowly doing housework.

suziedoozy · 05/11/2019 16:06

Don’t have any lovely clothes photos from today - slobbing whilst I wfh but how inspirational are your photos!
I’m 7 months post baby and really struggling with the change in my shape - always been a 22 but my hourglass shape has completely gone and I have no idea what to wear!
Thank you Flowers

ringletsandtwiglets · 05/11/2019 16:09

Yay! New thread! You all look bloody gorgeous, ladies. @AliasGrape that top is SO pretty. I love all the cosy knitwear too.

I’m in simple, warm clothes at the moment- I’m struggling to get used to cold hands and feet due to illness and medication, so feeling the need for cosy comfort.

Dorothy Perkins black and rose-patterned jumper, last winter, size 24
Evans ultra skinny jeans (about 3 years old) size 22
Very sensible Hotter shoes.

Oh, and I bought that pretty blue floral top on the hanger next to me too- Asda size 20-22

Wow we've filled a thread already.

Today it's black cigarette trousers with a stripy breton top and my grey cardigan. Boring but I was tired.

I need to dress for an interview tomorrow, do I wear the pencil skirt from last week? or panic and wear the same trousers I always wear?

ringletsandtwiglets · 05/11/2019 17:36

Pnut, for an interview, I'd go for something I feel comfortable and confident in. If the skirt makes you feel self-conscious at all, don't wear it. The last thing you want is to be worrying about your clothes.

picklemepopcorn · 05/11/2019 17:46

Agree with ringlets. Put the extra effort into accessories and make up, if you want to. Play safe with clothes!

cerys · 05/11/2019 18:51

@MrsPnut just DONT do what I did once - an hour after the interview I realised my dress was on back to front Blush

I did get the job, somehow!

Good luck.

NowWeSuckingDiesel · 05/11/2019 19:10

Love this!

Cerys - I always have a fear of my top slipping down and flashing them all my bra.

I have all morning to faff around with clothing and looking fab so will take a photo before leaving.

picklemepopcorn · 05/11/2019 19:32

Best of luck, Mrs P!

AliasGrape · 05/11/2019 19:38

Good luck Mrs P!

NancyEspana · 05/11/2019 19:39

Aw @NowWeSuckingDiesel, what a lovely poem! So true. Didn't think you had it in you Halloween Wink!

I absolutely love your pink jumper too!

@suziedoozy, YY, I really have lost my way style wise, since having dcs! Mine are older than yours too, so I have less of an excuse Halloween Blush. This thread is so good though. I feel much happier in my skin, but my bank balance HATES me, since I found it.

@ringletsandtwiglets, I love your shoes! I have some Mary Janes a bit like that. May even wear them tomorrow!

@MrsPnut, exciting you have a job interview! I'm seriously considering looking for a job, but that might be because I've had one of 'those' days at home with dcs 😂🤪.

I haven't worked for almost five years, since I had dc1, so I'm no use! But I bet you'll look fab and the advice already given^^ sounds right to me.

NancyEspana · 05/11/2019 19:42

After childcare we would lose money if I went back to work, so I probably won't though...probably.

NowWeSuckingDiesel · 05/11/2019 19:54

Didn't have it in me @NancyEspana it's written by someone else!

Sorry should have said earlier, good luck @MrsPnut, i have no useful advice as i have no recent interview experience but second what everyone else says, excepting the back to front dress!

NancyEspana · 05/11/2019 19:57

Yes, sorry, I was joking @NowWeSuckingDiesel! I knew you didn't write it really. My humour never translates well into text!

And yes, best of luck MrsP!

SmokyandtheBandit · 05/11/2019 19:57

This thread moved pretty fast!

Good luck in the job interview @MrsPnut I would wear the pencil skirt (or a plain shift dress with a contrasting fitted jacket) with some nice heels to give me that confident POWER WALK into the room, but wear comfy trainers to the building and change in the loo when I got there (or outside!).

@NowWeSuckingDiesel love that poem and the pink jumper!

Why do all the size 24 and 22 people here look like 16s to me in the photos? I bet you are all buying too big and are much slimmer than you think. You look great.

MrsPnut · 05/11/2019 20:52

Thanks everyone, i’m in the lucky position that i’m not bothered whether I get the job or not. I like where I work now but want a different challenge. This job is about 5 miles from home and will cut my commute down by loads.

Bouledeneige · 05/11/2019 23:22

Thank you pickle. i thought it was too summer but then I thought again!

Bouledeneige · 05/11/2019 23:30

Sorry I didnt see other questions. So my Toast dress is a size 16. To be fair I'm generally roughly a 16/18 in most sizing. Its quite close fitting in
a good way (but not too tight on my my top half) but full on the bottom half. I'm not thinking anyone thinks I'm slimmy when I wear it. But it feels fashionably on target when dressed with the leather jacket (I cant do up) and ankle boots.
