Hello all

I’m now ready to start my no spend! Will be in place until my personal shop mid March. Only things on my permitted list are:

Replacing things which break/wear
White trainers - Veja maybe
Black Vans

Since I can’t wear trainers until the Spring anyway I will probably be able to wait.

Out shopping in cold Scotland so wearing a jumper from next with my beloved Alex Monroe Bee necklace.

@Sooverthemill @OublietteBravo my DH would also be annoyed but then again he literally doesn’t care about clothes and wears stuff with holes in....guess what he’s getting for Christmas .

Today I’ve been in scruffy clothes recovering

To assuage my guilt in buying the All Saints jumper ( with 30% discount) I bought DH a beautiful pair of burgundy cords from JL. also big BF discount. Truly lovely. Gave them to him and he said 'but I have a pair of cords why do I need another pair?'! He owns 2 pairs of jeans, 4 pairs of chinos ( which he can wear for work in august which is dress down) and a pair of cords. plus walking trousers one of which he's had since 2000. doing his bit for the planet since 1959...

@OublietteBravo I don't earn anymore since giving up work to care for DD. I hate being dependent on DH for money. For most of our married life I earned twice as much as him. It's tough being reliant. He doesn't moan not one bit but he doesn't care about fripperies such as clothes. Books and coffee though

@OublietteBravo I have those jeans ( 8P) and I don't find them mom shape on me at all! We must be a completely different shape. I've had them about 3 years. Must dig them out

@OublietteBravo actually it must be a previous version of the Cambridge ankle skimmers because they have a let down hem

It’s interesting to see how clothes look on different people, isn’t it? Although I suppose it’s possible Boden changed the fit of the jeans.

I wasn’t entirely sure about legs out without thick black tights at nearly 40, but then I thought stuff it! I didn’t want to be head to toe in black and figured I had my arms and chest covered.

Ladies what knee high boots do you have? Needing some but don’t know what to buy!

I have the clarks caddy belle ones @Softpebbles. I haven’t reached for them much this year but they are very comfy.

Swim & lunch at David Lloyd with my mum this morning. Staying in the rest of the day with DC & DH. Wore my lovely orange cardigan again - I’m getting more wear out of it than I thought I would. Love them done up over my MV leather leggings.

Thanks for the compliments, means a lot as I’ve not been too confident since having my baby.

@Softpebbles my knee length boots are Hobbs but a much darker brown ( not this year but they do this style year on year)
I also have very very old Hobbs slouchy brown suede which I live and each year go to throw out, try on and keep!
I have a practical black waterproof Gabor pair which I'm not so keen on but are 'useful'

@Softpebbles I've got brown boots from dune, I think they're called Bertie. Mine are several years old but I think they make them every year.

I wore them today, along with my new cropped cardigan. I'm very pleased with it, slightly longer cardigans look too shapeless on me. I think they look great on the rest of you though which is what inspired me to try this one. I think I'll get lots of wear out of it

The brown ones are more country boots and the black have a smooth sole and are more city. They are actually Spanish riding boots and I can ride in both pairs too.
