Went to a vegan restaurant with DH for lunch but it was so rainy & horrible out that I wanted to be cosy so I wore my new favourite jumper.

@PalacePaper my Christmas jumper isn’t that Christmassy this year either!

Seems like everyone loves Mint Velvet? I have to admit I don't think I've ever been in, as it looks a bit out of my budget...

@Ellapaella a lady in my office was wearing black slouchy boots this week similar to those and looked amazing. Mind you, she always looks amazing although I no longer ask where she buys clothes from as it’s always ££££££

Yes, so easy to keep it super casual when I'm just at home all day. I do feel better in a good outfit though.

@timswifey mint velvet are a little hit and miss imo. I love their 'look' and think they style their models so well but I do think it's quite overpriced. I only buy if I can get a discount code or in the sale.

Joining this thread. Now I have a couple of pairs of leggings from there and I’m trying to resist buying a pair of trainers.

I’ve dug out some old clothes which I haven’t worn for a while for today’s outfit. The jeans (2016) and the gilet (2011) are both old. I think it might be time from the jeans to go - they don’t hold their shape very well these days.

Hi Timswifey, I am also tall (just over 6ft) and wear skirts and dresses a lot

Good brands for tall people (££££ but check eBay) are Jigsaw, Baukjen and Toast

Dorothy Perkins, Asos and Topshop all do lots of tall stuff

I buy tall jeans from DP of H&M

@timswifey I agree with @Ellapaella, MV are very much hit and miss, I'd describe them as a bit Per Una before the recent reboot. So imo they tend to over embellish stuff. They do have some nice basics but I've only bought pleather leggings and I think I have a top via eBay . But I'm interested in their trainers

My only Mint Velvet stuff is charity shop, I wouldn’t pay the full prices, I don’t personally consider the quality high enough.

How are you all finding lovely boots from tk maxx?! I went into mine yesterday and it was awful! Either bright pink Hunter wellies (which were lovely but not what I was looking for) or high heels or sandals?!

@pinkdaydreams I work near a TK Maxx so can pop in regularly. A lot of the time I come away empty-handed. It’s like charity shops, I think trick is to go in regularly & not expect to find anything, it’s a bonus if you do.

Also some TK Maxx branches are better than others - the one near my work is a well-off area so I personally reckon they probably put better stock in there
