Thanks @sooverthemill, I only noticed the label as I was about to throw it in the machine!

KiteflyingKat · 29/11/2019 21:18

Thanks @bettybea
The legs are from cycling to work and back every day for years. I’ve actually put a bit of weight on since I had my baby and now work from home a lot. I need to try to get out for a run on my lunch. And eat less cake Grin

happytobemrsg · 29/11/2019 21:20

@Gilbert82 yep, and I shrunk it! I didn’t read the label first. It still fits, just less oversized

Happierwithouthim · 29/11/2019 21:34

Not wearing today but my only clothes purchase so far for Black Friday, for my Christmas party Smile

@happytobemrsg oh no!
Hmmmm maybe I’ll take it to the dry cleaners then. I shrunk a lovely Whistles jumper I had saved for and one of my DH jumpers a while back, they came out so tiny they would have fit our toddler Grin

bettybea · 29/11/2019 21:56

Last minute off out out.

Lovely dress @Happierwithouthim

You are looking good @bettybea - enjoy you're night out

Sooverthemill · 30/11/2019 07:30

@happytobemrsg @Gilbert82 the only thing we dry clean is DHs suits and coats ( rarely) and our sheepskin rug! Everything else can be carefully hand washed or out through appropriate washing machine cycle. It's true I don't have any ££££ sweaters or I might dry clean but I wouldn't deliberately buy a dry clean only anything!

@Happierwithouthim lovely dress!
@bettybea looking good hope you had a good night.
We are due out tonight as we have booked a sitter to go for a quiet dinner but not sure if I can sit still long enough! Back still super painful

Gilbert82 · 30/11/2019 07:54

@Sooverthemill I just assumed it was machine washable when I bought it! Maybe I’ll put it through the machine on a wool cycle. We’re the same and only dry clean coats and DH nice work suits

Sooverthemill · 30/11/2019 08:50

It's bloody freezing here today so dressed for warmth!
High neck top M&S new
Jumper : Boden last season (?)
Jeans: old jigsaw Richmond
Trainers: jigsaw Olivia

Keep warm everyone

Lovely outfit’s!

Ella what is the sizing like on the cardigan? I’d never really looked at Oliver Bonas and then went in at Kings Cross last weekend. Some lovely things.
I’m looking for cardigans that aren’t frumpy due to needing to layer at the moment.

I wore the new look dress out to dinner last night and spent most of the evening sweating due to flushes. We are out tonight and I am thinking of wearing coated skinnies and a camisole with a blazer then it can be on/off as required 😭

Happierwithouthim · 30/11/2019 09:10

@bettybea you look great

Happierwithouthim · 30/11/2019 09:11

Debating the M&S ivy skinnies now that there's 20% off I need new jeans or else Littlewoods macy high waisted in black

Sooverthemill · 30/11/2019 09:12

@Happierwithouthim a friend has those Ivy jeans and is very happy with them. She was actually dead passed off as she had bought a pair of NYDJ at £££ and the Ivy ones are better!

Happierwithouthim · 30/11/2019 10:03

Lots of insta bloggers rave about them

Ellapaella · 30/11/2019 11:30

@Softpebbles it's quite generous, mine is a 10 and is quite roomy. I'm a 10-12 normally. Wearing it today with the new Joanie dress, just back from a walk with the dog but it's my youngest son's party this afternoon.

I don’t mean to be a complete crazy stalker @Ellapaella but I’ve just ordered the dress you’re wearing 🙈 I thought about it the other day but at £11 it’s such a good buy. I’m now considering the cardigan but worried I won’t get enough wear out of it (it’s quite expensive).

PinkDaydreams · 30/11/2019 12:42

I’ve just stumbled across this thread and you all look so stylish! I’m hopeless with fashion and hate clothes shopping!
I’ve been after a pair of winter boots but can’t find any. I’m a size 6, but everything is too chunky (in my thirties and feel I’m not fashionable enough to pull them off) anyway, do you think I could wear a trainer with skinny jeans? I’m thinking a trainer boot thing, like a converse hi top?
Told you I’m hopeless with fashion!!

Ellapaella · 30/11/2019 12:48

@PinkDaydreams yes trainee high tops and skinny jeans look great together. Someone on this thread has put a few pics on of exactly that and looks great.
Welcome to the thread 👋

@happytobemrsg - it's a real bargain, definitely snap it up! It's a really flattering style as it's kind of ruched around the waist, I think you'll love it.
Re the cardigan - I know what you mean which is why I held back from ordering without a discount but I sold a couple of Hush and Joules jumpers on eBay to make up for it. So really it didn't cost me anything. I love cardigans and am always drawn to them but the reality is they are actually quite hard to wear - too hot indoors and get in the way of a coat outdoors if you know what I mean. I may wear this done up like a jumper with just a cami underneath.

Hello (waves shyly and blushes!). I really do need help fashion wise. I wear the same two pairs of skinny jeans from river island all the time then a mixture of t shirts from top shop/new look. Trainers I’ve been wearing plain black lo pro vans but they don’t make lo pros anymore! And I bought myself a pair of kurt Geiger trainers but they’ve got a hole in the sole after only a couple months wear so I’m very annoyed with them!
I’m trying to build on my confidence, so I’ve been having a quick look through this thread and would love to dress like some of the pics I’ve seen. I just need to build in my confidence, my problem is that I hate spending money on myself and think I can’t wear anything ‘nice’ as it won’t suit me.
Sorry for the ramble!

happytobemrsg · 30/11/2019 12:58

I’ve gone it & bought the dress AND cardigan @Ellapaella! If I’m ever unsure about whether I’d get wear out of something I see what I can come up with on Stylebook & these outfits look nice I think.

KG are a bit pants for quality of their footwear in my experience Pink. Are you on Facebook? If so I would definitely recommend the 'Styled by Susie Tribe' - a closed group buy anyone can join. It's absolutely fantastic for getting ideas when you feel stuck in a bit of a rut and Susie has just put a podcast on a couple of days ago about what to do when you feel like hiding away and she talks very well about how to build up your confidence. A couple of us here are on the group, I find it great for getting ideas.

@happytobemrsg yes they look great - and the cardigan would look good with some of your dresses as well? Don't you have a Zara dress in browns and blacks?
