I live close to a couple of towns that each have 5 or 6 charity shops. Some I never go in as I’ve never had any luck and some I can’t cope with the layout / too many clothes crammed into racks etc so that narrows it down. There’s 4 I visit regularly I’d say.
The one I have got the most good stuff from is Cancer Research. They seem to have the least tat. But they do seem to recognise the good brands and price quite high (sometimes too high, IMO).
However I’ve got good stuff from all the shops I go in regularly. It really is just luck.
Someone once told me charity shops near car parking get more donations so likely to have better stock. Not sure if that’s true?!
I appreciate I’m quite lucky. The town where my mum lives has one charity shop and it’s not great at all.
