@Ellapaella I love your dress & coat from yesterday - are they recent buys? I couldn’t find the dress online.

My coat collection is virtually non-existent.
Faux leather jacket - New Look
Rain mac - Protected Species
Thin wool-like coat - New Look
Warm puffa coat - Barbour

I saw someone say that All Saints will have 30% off tomorrow? Does anyone know if this is true?

Ellapaella · 24/11/2019 12:22

@happytobemrsg I think AllSaints do 30% off on Black Friday which is next week I think.
I got that dress this time last year, was only £16 and very Hush-like! And coat was Primark also this time last year but I think they have them in again this year, it was about £39.

Have a lovely day @Sooverthemill, glad your back is a little better.

Today I'm wearing coated jeans - Vero Moda and a wool jumper from a charity shop. Two of my DC have been a bit under the weather. Might make it to the cinema this afternoon to see Frozen 2 if they feel a bit better.

That’s quite expensive for Primark! @Ellapaella I don’t seem to go to shops anymore but would love a hunt around Primark.

I’ll wait until next Friday then! Annoying since I was planning on ordering a bag for when I start back at work the following Tuesday but I’m sure I can find something to use until it gets delivered - it’s worth the savings! If I won the lottery I could buy so many things from All Saints. The more comfortable I get with my style the more I’m drawn to so many of their bits.

twosoups1972 · 24/11/2019 13:00

@Sooverthemill nice outfit and hope you have a lovely day in town.

@Ellapaella love the jumper, hope the dss are feeling better and you can make it to the cinema.

I am wearing M&S black snake print leggings with new red jumper from Baukjen. But....I haven't taken the label off it yet as can't decide if it's itchy!

twosoups1972 · 24/11/2019 13:02

This is the jumper

Ellapaella · 24/11/2019 13:15

Love it soups - that colour really suits you and it goes beautifully with the leggings.

@happytobemrsg if I was rich I could probably shop entirely in AllSaints. Sometimes it can disappointing as the quality of the fabric isn't always so good but generally the knitwear is excellent. The AllSaints style is very 'me' though - on the rare occasion I go into a store I could pretty much buy the whole stock if I could afford it.

twosoups1972 · 24/11/2019 13:23

Thank you @Ellapaella it’s just a bit itchy round the neck but maybe I can live with that. Been trying to spend this blooming Baukjen voucher for ages, getting fed up of sending things back!

Happierwithouthim · 24/11/2019 14:33

Joining here because I need help, I don't have a style.
For work I wear jeans & Stacey Solomon boots & a hoody or chunky jumper at the moment & trainers & tshirt combo in summer.

Most of you here have good legs, I'm chunky legged. I wear a size 12 & am 5' 2" with chunky thighs.

Sooverthemill · 24/11/2019 15:17

@twosoups1972 if it feels a bit itchy it won't get better. I'm really sensitive to wool and it is often the neck edge itchiness that drives me insane. I'm really strict now and if there's even a hint of it, I don't keep it. Save the baukjen voucher for the sales? There is a lot of stuff on the site at the moment that I love

@Ellapaella are the boys better now? Horrid when little ones are ill. Your outfit looks great, hope you get to see Frozen 2. When DD was in a nursing home there was a little girl who had Frozen soundtrack on 24/7. Drove me insane as DD was much older (15) and we had never seen Frozen but now we know all the songs! I also am warming to all saints. Obviously the leather jackets but also some of their knitwear and tops are really nice, I'd like to try some trousers too but would need big discount!

@Happierwithouthim welcome! I'm 5'1 and the thing that timed my legs was daily yoga! Before then I hated my legs too

I had a lovely wander around town and tried on a coat in an absurdly expensive boutique ( who pays £860 for a jumper?) which I loved and DH offered to buy it for my Xmas present. The Brendon boots I had seen in September had sold out thank goodness so I wasn't tempted. So that was fab. We also had Sunday lunch ( roast lamb) in our favourite cafe . It's great when all the tourists go. Sorry but the seaside is nicer in the winter. And got DD a little treat to cheer her up as she is extra poorly at the moment.

Sooverthemill · 24/11/2019 15:19

tonedmy legs

KiteflyingKat · 24/11/2019 17:38

@twosoups1972 I love the colour of that jumper but if it’s itchy it would go straight back. Don’t keep things that you don’t love.

@Sooverthemill glad you had a nice day out.

Welcome @Happierwithouthim

@Ellapaella I never bother to look at All Saints. Maybe I should.

Today:

  • shirt - Cloth & Stone from TK Maxx
  • jeans - Topshop
  • Boots - TU

I went charity shopping today & got 3 new tops, 2 Mint Velvet, 1 Hush. Also some jeans but they are too small (I was obviously feeling optimistic about my weight when I took them to the till as I can hardly get them over my bum Grin )

Happierwithouthim · 24/11/2019 17:52

Sooverthemill any particular exercises?
My clothing budget is small too, single mother planning to buy my own house in next six months.
Thanks to watching what I eat I've got a fairly flat tummy & I'm very slowly losing weight. Have some nice clothes in size 10 if I can get back to that size.

There was a beautiful grey jumper in early part of this thread, kinda of cape like arm holes were down low, where did that come from?

I've one lovely pair of high waisted macy v by very jeans & they're my fallback for a night out lately

Thanks for the welcomes
Since I've started dating again I'm making more of an effort with my makeup ironically the guy I'm seeing couldn't give a damn & prefers me without it but I'm doing this for me not anyone else

Sooverthemill · 24/11/2019 18:04

@Happierwithouthim I do yoga with Adriene pretty much every day. Even with my current injury ( not caused by exercise!) I do a very gentle routine that has been agreed with my osteopath. this 12 minutes session by Adriene really helps tone. Have a look and try some out. Re weight loss tag: She has confessed that she hates tagging stuff weight loss but she has to look to website optimisation algorithms.)

Every year I regularly do one of her 30 day programmes. This year I've done 4 back to back. It's the only exercise I get apart from running up and down stairs millions of times a day. Other people noticed my legs ( eg people I had not seen for months remarked on it)

Ellapaella · 24/11/2019 18:38

Yoga with Adrianne is great, I love her whole ethos. Also I'd Recommend Couch to confident on you tube, it's also yoga but a bit more hardcore and you'll really feel your core strength improve quite quickly.

@happytobemrsg I have been following styled by Susie for a while now on FB but I've just booked an online session. I think I'm an autumn and possibly an hourglass but I'm interested to find out for sure.

OP posts:
Ellapaella · 24/11/2019 18:40

Also @Happierwithouthim how about running? I try and do 5k 3-4 times a week. Takes a while to get to the point it feels comfortable but so worth it in the end. I love running - I put headphones on and listen to podcasts and enjoy the peace and quiet. I find when I'm exercising regularly I naturally want to eat healthier anyway and am less inclined to snack.

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 24/11/2019 18:57

I'm doing circuits, gym, & running/walking with the dog so have a handle on exercise even at my slimmest my legs are always going to be my weak point.

Ellapaella · 24/11/2019 19:00

Ah sorry- misread your post and thought you were asking Soover for advice on exercise.
Your legs must be very nicely toned with all that exercise? Have you thought about getting a style analysis?

OP posts:
Ellapaella · 24/11/2019 19:02

I had a grey cape jumper with a roll neck earlier in this thread if that's the one you mean. It's from Superdry but I bought in the end of season sale earlier this year.

OP posts:
KiteflyingKat · 24/11/2019 19:30

Also need to exercise more. I put on weight while pregnant, lost it on mat leave, then piled it back on when I went back to work Blush

It’s my own fault as I need to exercise more & eat better. I was doing better over the summer but struggle with the cold and dark. Need to stop making excuses,

Sooverthemill · 25/11/2019 08:45

Fitting exercise in is tricky isn't it? I can't do anything other than at home stuff and found YWA by chance four years ago. Lifesaving first me.

So, I feel confident in proper clothes now but still can't manage shoes properly!

Trying to shop my wardrobe I found this linen shirt from about 5 years ago! It's warm here today but if it gets colder I will pop my Boden 'oh yeah' sweatshirt over the top

Shirt: M&S autograph old
Jeans: hush boyfriend old
Shoes: kurt Geiger

My AllSaints jumper has arrived and I'm really pleased with it. Very sparkly but lovely and warm and hangs really well. Am definitely keeping. I think this can be dressed up or down.

Boots: Phase Eight

@Ellapaella it's gorgeous. I have a sweater from Wrap London that is really similar yarn and it's truly lovely. A summer jumper though not like yours.
