I actually took a photo today (I apologise for the toilet in the background - the toilets at work are the only place with a full-length mirror and decent lighting.

Skirt - Baukjen (A/W 2019)
Fine knit jumper - Jigsaw
Boots - um, not sure. I got them in John Lewis a few years back. Probably 2015.

Thanks. These are my second pair (my original brown pair fell apart after 7 years). A quick Google suggests that they’re currently sold by Dune (20% off at the moment, so £144). I’ve asked DH to get me a pair in brown for Christmas.

I need some boot cuffs now

I used to wear leg warmers out on the town, with mini skirt & heels. They had a bit of a revival circa 2003 where I used to live

I think the only time I’ve worn leg warmers is for dance class. Which is pretty impressive given I was a child in the 1980s.

I was an 80's child. I had leg warmers but not in a trendy way I wore them with shiny leggings when I did jazzersize and step aerobics briefly when I was about 12 😱

I don’t think I ever wore legwarmers - which, considering I was an eighties teen and obsessed with the Fame TV show, is actually kind of odd. I do rather fancy the elephant boot cuffs from Ella’s post though...

I actually want to get back into skinny jeans for winter - just realised I have no blue ones, they’re all girlfriend or boyfriend.

No idea why I’m clutching my hip like that, I suck at selfies.

@OublietteBravo I like it, but I am a fan of simple outfits. I'm wearing a Beige silk/cotton polo neck from Hobbs which I bought in 2005, jigsaw Richmond skinny jeans ( also old) and kurt Keiger backless loafers. For some reason my iPhone photos haven't synced with my iPad so no photo. DH asked if the jumper was new!

No leg warmers here as I was born in 1988 so missed the trend I think...

What does everyone think of something similar to this as a work outfit? With black Chelsea boots

Hi this is really cheeky but I’m hoping you can all help me. Basically I have never had much confidence but now after four children I feel invisible. Most of what I wear I just feel plain and frumpy. I’ve searched outfit inspiration on Pinterest etc and bought a couple of items but it just doesn’t seem to work on me. Can you help advise? For example today I am mostly at home so wearing leather leggings and a fluffy jumper but I feel slightly ridiculous in the leggings and whilst I thought they fit well in the shop now I’m home they don’t take away from the fact that I have very skinny legs and knobbly knees

I really like that outfit on you @Carnabie, you’ve got a cracking figure. I wear my leather leggings even if just chilling at home. I feel better in myself if I’m a bit more put together. I always advise people who are lacking in confidence join the Styled By Susie Tribe Facebook group - it’s giving me so much confidence

@carnabie I think you look great The leggings look lovely on you, you have good legs so should show them off! Don't worry about your knees, everyone's are knobbly to some degree.

You could also a try a longer jumper over the leggings.

You certainly don't look frumpy! I like this thread for outfit ideas and carry on looking online. Do you have basics - good jeans that fit you, a couple of plain tops in colours that suit you? Jackets/blazers? I find prints can sometimes look a bit frumpy but that's a massive over-generalisation.

Difficult to get a good photo today but I’m wearing wool jumper dress from Nicole Farhi (£8 from local charity shop), tights Falke via TK Maxx & boots are Guess via TK Maxx.

In a rush so no time to comment on outfits but I will try to pop back later.
