neveradullmoment99 · 15/10/2019 19:37

neveradullmoment99 · 15/10/2019 19:38

We are all having a jacket/coat craving!!!

twosoups1972 · 15/10/2019 20:47

@dontcallmelen lovely things, hope you love them!

@SoyYo what size did you get the fur bomber in?

twosoups1972 · 15/10/2019 20:48

Now, do I buy the Hush Ophelia scarf (at full price) before it sells out?

twosoups1972 · 15/10/2019 20:49

Oh no - an email from Other Stories about a sale Hmm Grin

Huffthepuff · 15/10/2019 21:25

Lovely Jigsaw buys @dontcallmelen ! Gorgeous. Excited for you 😃

neveradullmoment99 · 15/10/2019 21:26

Its low stock @soups so I would buy if you really like it.

miffy2 · 15/10/2019 22:03

OK the coated jeans are not for me. They are a bit low for my waist unfortunately. Did not want to size up to a 14 as my old pair (12) ended up too baggy and low.

I also decided to be ruthless with the black Felix and will send that back too. It is a very harsh black; perhaps the charcoal (when they had it) would have been better. Anyway because I have a lot of stuff ordered I have decided if I don't love it and want to wear it NOW then it has to go back.

Laska2Meryls · 15/10/2019 22:31

soups they have it in JL as well, but have you seem this lush ( and much more expensive of course !!) Becksondergard one?

Laska2Meryls · 15/10/2019 22:39

that Becksondergaard is cheaper at Zalando Has anyone shopped with them before?

Roussillon849 · 15/10/2019 23:12

Belated thank you for the link to the jumper, miffy2! It is very lovely.

Laska, I've used Zalando before and I rate their customer service.

I'm on book three of Elena Ferrante's Neapolitan novels, as it happens! I'm really enjoying them. Hadn't realised the author had been uncovered.

I can't recommend the first season of The Handmaid's Tale enough. It is the most addictive gripping intense thing. Seasons 2 and 3 were totally unnecessary though.

Roussillon849 · 15/10/2019 23:16

I recently read Normal People and Conversations With Friends by Sally Rooney and I recommend them both. Very easy and kind of modern writing style and subject matter.

Sooverthemill · 16/10/2019 07:28

I've got all of my becksondergard scarves from tk maxx. I think I have 6! Usually paid about £20 at the most for them. They are lovely and big and I love them because I can wear them like a scarf (!) but also use as a blanket /wrap in ambulance and in hospital ( when I was having chemo and when I accompany DD). Incredibly useful. I really love them. I think all are fine wool but not itchy

Sooverthemill · 16/10/2019 07:43

book thread

Laska2Meryls · 16/10/2019 11:27

I have sometimes seen them there SoOver you have to get lucky with TKmaxx of course,
Well I ordered the Moto !! Shoot me I am mad !! Grin

Sooverthemill · 16/10/2019 11:47

@Laska yes tk maxx is painful really. I don't go now since we moved to back end of beyond but used to have a very big one on a retail park near our big town. I always went first thing on a Thursday morning and found no one else there and lots of new stuff having been put out so I was lucky. I'd like a new one really

neveradullmoment99 · 16/10/2019 12:19

I do go in to tkmaxx on occasions but i do really dislike it. The last time i went into the one in Glasgow and hated it. Walked in and walked out. There is another one not so far from me and i much prefer it. Things can be very good prices esp the home stuff.

neveradullmoment99 · 16/10/2019 12:21

The kids halloween costumes are fabulous quality if anyone is looking for one for the kids. All my kids arent bothered this year. My youngest dd might.

SoyYo · 16/10/2019 12:52

@twosoups1972 sorry have only just caught up with thread. The fur bomber I got in 10.

SoyYo · 16/10/2019 12:57

Yes I only ever buy home stuff at TKMax (got some rather nice Joseph Joseph kitchen utensils last time I was in and the usual candles/diffusers and lavender Marseille soap). My eye caught a nice Fairisle cardigan too but it was made for TKM in Cambodia and I decided it was probably produced unsustainably so didn’t buy it (it was nice and bargainous too).

Thanks for the book thread Soover and the feedback on the coated biker jeans miffy.

wildhairdontcare · 16/10/2019 13:08

Thanks for all the lovely welcomes. @SoyYo Kensington are more maxi than midi on me, I have the star print and the forest green with gold but definitely in the market for more long sleeved versions.

I am dieting, so trying to rein in my purchases at the moment. However I did get the Erin Animal Midi from The White Co yesterday. My theory is the tie waist will go in with me 🤞🏻.

twosoups1972 · 16/10/2019 14:58

Thanks for the Becksondergarrd link @Laska2Meryls it's lovely but I think I prefer the brighter colours of the Hush one.

dontcallmelen · 16/10/2019 17:11

Yy TKMax home stuff, they also have lovely proper soap & really good brands of candles which I always stock up on.
I popped into primark today, if anyone after a really soft big blanket scarf I got this for eight pounds.

Ellapaella · 16/10/2019 19:56

@dontcallmelen love the scarf. I got a beautiful grey and black animal print blanket scarf from Primark last winter - it's so cosy.
