dontcallmelen that is lovely and it looks big! Is it fleecy on the underside?

I also had an animal print one from Primark last winter, ella! It was big enough that if I was in a chilly office I could use it as a shawl. Handy.

neveradullmoment99 · 16/10/2019 21:36

This is not a bad dupe for the Beckondergaard scarf

scarf

neveradullmoment99 · 16/10/2019 21:37

Lovely scarf @melen. I have loads of scarves!!

neveradullmoment99 · 16/10/2019 21:40

Actually its a pretty good dupe for the hush one too!!

noodlezoodle · 17/10/2019 01:26

I am well and truly off the no spend bench, the M&S olive velvet jacket has arrived and it's absolutely gorgeous, definitely a keeper. Thank you Huff and Soy for the enablement Grin. I can't see me wearing it with the belt and I don't think it needs it so I might go for broke and snip the belt loops off altogether.

Erm, a couple of other things MAY have fallen into the basket at the same time. This shirt, which I'll wear for work is a lovely drapey crepe: www.marksandspencer.com/printed-crepe-shirt/p/p60285355

And this coat. I definitely didn't need another coat so one is going to have to go to the charity shop to make way for this, but it's so lovely that I'm going to keep it. Great colours and cut really well, looks much more expensive than it is: www.marksandspencer.com/checked-tailored-overcoat-with-wool/p/p60262638

dontcallmelen · 17/10/2019 09:06

Thanks for the scarf love, Dh reckons I could set up home in it as it’s so big😂 Rousillion the back is just plain not fleecy as such but it’s very soft.

dontcallmelen · 17/10/2019 09:07

noodle I saw the jacket in store yesterday, tis a thing of beauty 👍🏼

twosoups1972 · 17/10/2019 09:50

@melen that's really lovely and a great price.

@neveradullmoment99 thanks for the M&S link, what a great scarf! I'm going to try it, much cheaper than the Hush one!

Laska2Meryls · 17/10/2019 10:21

I grabbed a blue Bloomsbury in an 8 this morning, Smile also the Lea scarf a bargain at £12 , unfortunately because there is no Hush friends atm Hmm, I had to buy a bar of chocolate to make up the frre postage.. well that Certainly wont ne returned Grin!!!

Laska2Meryls · 17/10/2019 10:23

Oh and I got the Becksondergaard scarf..Blush but did get an extra 10 off for signing up.. ,its only money

imalloutofideas · 17/10/2019 10:31

I've received the deep linen tshirt. I love it but it is SO short I wonder if it just looks like it's shrunk in the wash and I'll feel self conscious whenever I wear it?! It's not cheap. Hmmm what to do...anyone have it or any thoughts on this....

ilovecherries · 17/10/2019 11:40

ideas, I sent it back for exactly the reason you describe. I felt it looked as if it had shrunk on me.

OP posts:
Talisin · 17/10/2019 12:38

If you think you’re going to feel self conscious in it then send it back now because otherwise you will just keep putting off wearing it and it’ll sit in your wardrobe until you charity shop it in a couple of years. No, I have no experience with this scenario whatsoever - why do you ask? Grin

dontcallmelen · 17/10/2019 12:50

Talisin guilty as charged as well😂

imalloutofideas · 17/10/2019 20:47

Thanks Tal and Cherries I think you're right I think I will just feel self conscious about it so will send it back. I'm so gutted though - why would they make it so short like that Grr...

Laska2Meryls · 17/10/2019 20:52

Toast have 15% off until Sunday if anyone interested W19d15

neveradullmoment99 · 17/10/2019 21:34

Yes, I got that email too but I got my boots [Thankfully with money off] Apart from knitwear, there's not that much more to tempt me. I have quite a few of their dresses and some I haven't worn yet!!!

neveradullmoment99 · 17/10/2019 21:34

There is also their winter sale and that's not that far away.

Laska2Meryls · 18/10/2019 08:50

Yes Im waiting for the sale also..

NotAnActualSheep · 18/10/2019 13:36

Oh, I've dropped off the thread again... i really need to pay more attention. Have loved catching up with the photos and chat.

soy - have to say, that fur bomber is amazing. Looks so good with the pink skirt. And so cosy...

soover - thanks for the book thread. I've put it on my watch list and will keep an eye for recommendations! Like others i used to read lots, but I just don't seem to have the concentration for it much any more. i used to be in a worthy actual life book group and everything, but stopped going when I had DS and never got back into it...I keep thinking i should start again but don't want to be the one that has only got halfway through...

Love the blue snake scarves...who'd have thought there would be so many around! The M&S is almost identical to the hush one... I'm a big fan of the huuuuge becksondergaard ones though...yy, they are as close to wearing a blanket in public as you can get. Didn't know TK maxx had them. That may almost tempt me to have a look round - my blood pressure always increases in that shop though. It's just too cluttery. len - yours looks amazing too. And that jigsaw dress is beautiful.

noodle - the M&S checked coat is lovely. Love the brown and pink combo. And the velvet jacket, of course.

laska - Ah, glad you picked up the blue dress in the right size in the end. And I presume the chocolate was the same cost as the postage you didn't need to pay, so basically free. And therefore no calories. Win, win Grin ... And a toast sale you say..? Why don't i get these emails?! stamps foot . I may go for that cardigan in that case...

The moto leather jacket is nice, but i have to say I'm not really tempted (probably just as well, frankly). I think it's the finish on the leather that just looks a bit "animal skinny" to me (yes, I know, I know...). The cut is lovely though.

Right - I'm having difficulty deciding on my sale things. Annoyingly, i like quite a lot.. I'm definitely keeping the star leggings and a black tee (I don't have a plain black tee to wear for pilates over long line vests, and the cut of this one is nice and drapey). Also keeping the ribbed polo neck jumper which is nice and warm for under pinafore dresses and charcoal and cream-y stripes rather than black & white which suits me better. I know it is ancient stock, so not sure why I've missed it for so long... I'm definitely sending back the waffle tee which I don't like the fabric of at all.

But the things I'm not sure about...
The navy boat neck top. Yes, its just a long sleeved tee, but I like the neckline and feel it sort of balances me out a bit. But its still £29...for a navy top...really?

Martina skirt. I do like this - its nice and floaty and a lovely floral print with lots of possible colours to match (navy/ blue/ green/pink - it goes well with the boat neck top actually), but do I need another floaty skirt? And I'm not sure I can style it without looking frumpy...

Velour joggers. These are so not me it's untrue...but something in me does love them and oddly they aren't horrifically unflattering. They are really soft and strokeable and are lounging trousers that I could actually wear out too. Though I know they will get covered in cat hair immediately. I'm verging on sending them back - but they are only £18.

Zebra dress - would I wear it? Really? I'm getting where laska is coming from on the little house on the prairie goes on safari, but i think it sort of works with a belt and jacket. But would it be one of many of those "languishing in a wardrobe until being charity shopped" things? Don't need any more of them... Grin

NotAnActualSheep · 18/10/2019 13:40

So, photos... The Martina with boat neck top, and with some different boots and ancient jacket. And the boat neck top with my bargain m and s satin skirt...

I have spent the morning looking for a few new midi dresses to see me through the winter. Loved the boden thelma but felt it was quite expensive... then a £10 off boden voucher arrived in the post at lunch time. It was clearly destined to be mine.

NotAnActualSheep · 18/10/2019 13:43

And the zebra dress and velour joggers (not to be paired with tee... just couldn't be arsed to change...)

Feckit - Ive just ordered the cardigan that is the source of all my lust with the 15% code laska posted...cos it has sold out in all but my size, and i think I would go into mourning if I don't own it.

neveradullmoment99 · 18/10/2019 14:19

Oh i love love love the marina. It suits you so much!! Love the way you have styled it. Like the zebra dress too but i love the skirt and boots and denim jacket combo.
Love that cardigan. What colour did you get? Its so gorgeous. You must post a picture of it when you get it.
