  1. Do they know who I am?
  2. As if I’d turn up in my cleaning clothes
  3. Rude
  4. Is their formal my formal? Grin

Thanks everyone means a lot, got scared there for a mo

Lol Dry made me laugh

Shop thinking of you

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 15/10/2019 12:14

Dry it's these hoops, very basic but they are lovely and I'm so pleased.

Re the training course, you have to wonder what kind of thing some people have shown up in previously for them to give that warning!

DryWhiteagainW · 15/10/2019 21:44

I think simple/basic is good and often the things that you wear the most because they go with everything

QueenCoral · 16/10/2019 06:47

blair those are lovely. I wear the smaller version of them.
I may be taking dd to get a second piercing on Saturday. Wondering whether to get myself another!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 16/10/2019 11:42

Yes I've been guilty in the past of neglecting basic things and just buying things I like which aren't as versatile. You need basics so that you always have something to wear! But I'm wearing pearl studs today as my outfit is very classic, Equipment silk shirt and J crew wool pencil skirt.

I've found my perfect Xmas party outfit at Ted Baker so am just waiting for a discount :) hopefully at halloween or black friday.

How many piercings do you have QueenC? I definitely couldn't pull off the multiple ear piercings look but it's so pretty.

shopafrolic · 16/10/2019 15:42

Can’t talk about last week yet so just going to plough on with fashion plough on with the fashion stuff.
can anyone find me a high street version of these

shopafrolic · 16/10/2019 16:56

On piercings Blair I now have 4 in one ear and 3 in the other, and 3 tattoos :)

DryWhiteagainW · 16/10/2019 21:33

Good grief Shop those boots are gorgeous and very you.

I have a request. Saw a woman yesterday wearing a black skirt, just above the knee with a paper bag tie waist. Can anyone find it for me? I’ve be3n searching but nothing yet.

Shop very nice boots and Dry both will keep an eye out

These are the high rise Rag & Bone and Veronica Beard t. Not ground breaking but good quality and I think high waist is better for my life atm - lots of doing stuff with a toddler.

Shop how about these?

Dry I had a search and a few came up from H&M so maybe look there?

Themarvellousmrsm · 17/10/2019 14:17

How about these from M&S? Shop. I have a 20% discount code if you're interested. Or anyone else for that matter as have several.

Sorry to read & run but just on my way out so will catch up properly later (I'd clocked the boots earlier when looking for me so wanted to quickly post)

Themarvellousmrsm · 17/10/2019 19:58

Did I kill the thread with those boots? I really like them!

Anyway, congratulations Dream on your lovely new grandchild. Hope you're home now and having lots of cuddles.

Phew Marsha that's a relief! Lovely soft pink t - definitely a you colour.

Whilst away I did a lot of people watching - lots of trainers particularly NB and clumpy boots without tights both being worn with dressy outfits as well as casual. I also saw an elderly lady dressed head to toe in black with her tiny black dog wearing a huge red hat - she looked fabulous!

DryWhiteagainW · 17/10/2019 21:23

I have a “do” tomorrow . I’m bringing out the big guns because you know how much I love to dress up....think it may be the old fav red satin Phase Eight wiggle dress, gold caged sandals, gold DVF clutch and gold cuff.....but depends how bold I’m feeling tomorrow Grin

Evening! I haven't been anywhere this week so have been alternating between various bits of lounge wear. The White Company velvet joggers perfect for today.

I decided to buy 2 new pairs of stud earrings. I adore these blossom diamond studs which I am wearing today. They match this bracelet and the cluster ring from the same collection. I also bought these stud earrings as they match the be boodles bracelet that dh got me last Christmas. Sadly, I am squeamish on needles (rather ironicHmm) so only one ear piercing! For some reason all this talk of piercings has made me think of a guy I once knew with a Prince Albert. Grin

DryWhiteagainW · 17/10/2019 22:15

Lovely Blingy

The earrings not the Prince Albert Grin

MrsM I prefer the M&S ones to the OS ones. Sorry Blair they are too round toed I think. Perhaps I'll take a look in store.
Blingy PMSL about the piercing story. The man at Boodles must love you - that's his Christmas sorted! DH? Perhaps not so much? Love the way you just casually drop over £4k of spend onto the thread.
Marsha I love those R&B jeans. I need to buy a new pair as one of the belt loops came off my black skinnies yesterday as I was yanking them on - now that I do so much yoga they are too tight on the legs.
Dry sounds gorgeous - I look forward to pics.
miniShop is loving his new school, and I'm loving the whole vibe. Spent yesterday watching him play football away and then match teas. Love having a nose at all the other private schools in the area. I am definitely the poor relation but it has been the very best decision for the whole family.

And a brief note on the funeral.
Lib that Winser dress was perfect, so elegant, and I wore it with my Dune caged heels which DM said DF would have loved. :)
The service was good, church was fuller than expected and I managed to get through a very emotional eulogy. I think we did him proud. Not sure what I'll do with myself now he's not there to look after....... look after myself again I guess.
Thank you to all of you for your support, messages, cards, flowers and everything else you have done to help me over these last few years. I honestly don't know what I would do without you all.

DryWhiteagainW · 18/10/2019 07:26

It’s because we love you Shop and because you’ve been there for us too when we’ve had tough times, and because you keep me on the style straight and narrow and make me laugh. Smile you’re amazing. Now get off to that spa!
Match teas are great

Big big hugs Shop.

Glad you and miniShop are loving the new school. Don't let feeling like the "poor relation" impact you. I found out recently that one of the reasons dd doesn't get many return play date invites is because some of the mums have been intimidated when they have seen our house and are worried of what we will think if we see their house.Sad I just want to come right out and tell them we don't care because we are not judgemental arseholes and I am still the same mum at the school gate! But I can't as that would make it worse.

My bling man was very helpful. You have actually reminded me I haven't paid for them yet!Grin

Dh was actually totally fine about the spend.Shock. He is in a temporary "no amount of money is too much if it makes her smile" mood. I should be making out like a bandit on the credit card because it won't lastGrin

QueenCoral · 18/10/2019 11:42

Oh shop so glad it was all ok. And now I feel guilty that I didn’t send you flowers 😳. Just blame it on my shit at home.

Totally get how you feel about private school. For months I felt like an imposter, still do sometimes.
And like blingy we live in a biggish house and people do judge. I hate it because I grew up with nothing and am so grateful for what I have now.

shopafrolic · 18/10/2019 16:45

Don't be daft QueenC - it's knowing that we are all there for each other.

shopafrolic · 18/10/2019 18:24

I totally want to go to Boodles with you one day Blingy

There are a couple of rings I have my eye on and I would love to try them on but never dare.

Blingysolightly · 18/10/2019 18:28

If you go there near Christmas they always have the champagne out while you try on pretty things - I popped in once just to say hello and was there for an hourGrin

shopafrolic · 18/10/2019 20:32

Just ordered these jeans
