LOVE the Grensons shop. So pleased they suit you.

I haven't had ballet flats in years but I do like them, much better for me than pointy flats.

Re the thread I was just thinking the other day that ages ago, back about thread 3 or 4 it almost died and was pretty much me, shop and Marsha linking knitwear!!

Thanks so much to those who sent PM's and support on here. I'm too tired to reply today Sad but your kindness means a lot.

Applefairy · 06/01/2020 12:11

The Grensons are perfect x

The Etre Cecile knit is nice too

MarshaBradyo · 06/01/2020 12:19

@MrCollins im a size 3. Never thought about R&B childrens pumps! are they the same shape as adult ones?

DryWhiteagainW · 06/01/2020 22:19

Great Shop they really suit you xxx

I’m really feeling midi skirts/ dresses with knee boots. Love this look. I feel very me in it. Great for work and flattering.

Helen Mirren looked awesome and I thought Jodie Comer looked fab (strange shape but edgy and great colour).

DryWhiteagainW · 06/01/2020 22:39

Some fab Iris and Ink on the OUTNET, I could buy loads of that stuff, love the designs.

And some fab dresses by Mikael Aghal.... ever heard of that designer, great stuff.
How come I can’t link from the O?

That was for J Lo

shopafrolic · 06/01/2020 23:11

J Lo and Sienna Miller were my least fave

shopafrolic · 06/01/2020 23:20

And Kerri Washington’s was odd too

kittyhello · 07/01/2020 07:04

Wasn't overly impressed with Salma Hayek's after party dress. A bit unnecessary me thinks.

shopafrolic · 07/01/2020 07:18

Off to Google

shopafrolic · 07/01/2020 08:00

Random question of the day - how do you decide that knitwear is past its best? Obviously holes, excessive pilling, but I have a few sweaters that aren't as soft as they used to be, but nothing else wrong with them. Perhaps I'm just washing them wrongly?
Also, does anyone else find that cotton sweaters shorten in the arms with wear? Not washing, but wear. I put them on and they seem fine, but as the day goes on the arms shorten? Or am I going bonkers?

shopafrolic · 07/01/2020 08:16

Oh and on the GG I thought Charlize Theron looked as though she'd had a Judy Finnegan moment.

Themarvellousmrsm · 07/01/2020 11:01

These were my 3 favourite outfits from the GG with Phoebe WB trouser suit a very close 4th. Will check out the after party frock in a moment

Yes you’re definitely going bonkers Shop - my linen or cotton knit get bigger with wear but maybe it’s me! Love the boots.

Maybe we should resurrect ootd? I’ll start: black pleated midi skirt, black knee length boots, both Next, orange high neck jumper, Boden, chunky silver bangle and grey Kate spade bag

Yes they’re nice too MrsM including good colours

I’m in pinkish acne jumper, indigo rag & bone skinnies and new Legres boots which I love. So pleased I got them. And Maison M pea coat.

I feel like I should wear my other coats, do you all stick to one over others more?

Shop not sure! haven’t thought about it

Karcheer · 07/01/2020 13:19

I’m wearing leopard print mint velvet blouse with a primark nude cami underneath as the blouse is a little see through, dark blue mv skinny jeans. Hermes brown belt. Just walked the dogs so wore some cheap primark boots which I keep for getting muddy, going for coffee later and will wear my new black boots.

Karcheer · 07/01/2020 13:21

@MarshaBradyo yes I nearly always wear my dog walking coat as it’s the only one I keep in the under stairs cupboard. Drives me nuts as it’s pretty scruffy!

MrCollins · 07/01/2020 14:44

Jennifer Aniston's dress was definitely my favourite of the GG night.

@Karcheer yes, the shape is the same. I was given this tip a few years ago when the Charming was around £130. The price of the children's version has stayed roughly the same, but the price of the adult version keeps increasing.Hmm

Shop, I am quite anal about how my jumpers are cleaned. Cashmere is always dry cleaned. I typically wear an M&E tee underneath my cashmere so skin contact is quite minimal. Wool is washed only with other wool things, so not the general wash. And I use the towel method to and then lay flat to dry. Cotton sweaters, i put on a hanger and then then either put them in airing cupboard or put on the air dryer. Do you do the same?

Today is definitely a dress down day. I am wearing an oversized pink hoodie with black j crew skinnies.

Applefairy · 07/01/2020 14:59

My OOTD (for work) was J Crew charcoal pencil skirt, black woven structured Jaeger tee, black blazer/cape, chunky gold bangle, pale/matte gold GR pumps and Tobacco/brown Marcie bag. Doesn’t sound great written down but I actually felt really good and received some compliments so it can’t have been too bad.

I was inspired by someone I saw yesterday in black cigarette trousers and a pale grey structured knit coat. She had a black and white thing striped knit polo neck under the coat and a camel bag. Black stilettos. The black/grey and camel looked really good on her....classic chic but not at all boring/frumpy.

*thin not thing!
