Sorry! I was in a meeting and dropped the ball.

Can't you just imagine Meghan tiptoeing around the loch in her Aquazurra stilettos, trying to avoid getting her heels stuck in the mud??

Prince Andrew due to visit Northern Ireland next week. His invitation to more than one engagement has been rescinded. Funny how that news is less newsworthy than H and M not going to see the Queen in Balmoral.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 06/09/2019 17:21

I think it's the fact the invitation was apparently rescinded by HM that grabs the headlines. Except it probably wasn't.

SeaUrchin14 · 06/09/2019 17:28

She couldn’t have gone anyway as she’s off to NY!

QueenOfTheAndals · 06/09/2019 17:30

Were the Wessexes at Balmoral at the same time as Andrew this year? Given Sophie's work with victims of sexual violence, I wonder how she felt about that?

“I think it's the fact the invitation was apparently rescinded by HM that grabs the headlines. Except it probably wasn't.”
Of course it wasn’t. The Queen is not insane!!

QueenOfTheAndals · 06/09/2019 17:37

So according to the tabloids:

H&M cancelled their visit to Balmoral. HM was disappointed and was indiscreet enough to let people know this.

But Meghan also wanted to steal Kate's thunder by launching her clothes collection on the day Charlotte started school. HM rescinded the invitation in fury and again, wasn't discreet about it.

And now Meghan never intended to go to Balmoral in the first place as she was going to watch the US Open instead. Small problem with that is that she wouldn't have even known Serena was in the final until this morning.

Or the press are just making up bollocks!

CPM looks as good as ever but I'm not 100% keen on the dress.

I think you might be on to something there Queen.. about the press.

Also from my intimate knowledge of the queen (I’ve watched the crown twice you know 🙃😉) i’d Say she’d be more likely to invite them for a chat than disinvite them in a fury.

Inspiralcarpetry · 06/09/2019 18:07

Kind of a royal fashion spot-I watched Zara Tindall warm up pre-dressage at Burghley this afternoon. She looked very elegant in her dressage tails.Smile

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 06/09/2019 18:13

Ooh, good spot @Inspiralcarpetry!

beanaseireann · 06/09/2019 19:33

I wrote on another thread that Prince Andrew's invitation to some event in Northern Ireland was rescinded by the hosts.
I think he may have other events on there.

QueenOfTheAndals · 06/09/2019 23:02

Apparently he's still attending a youth golf tournament. With all the stories swirling around you'd think he'd stay away from young people entirely. Very distasteful.

OP posts:
Stravapalava · 07/09/2019 01:15

I'm not sure I'd want to meet and fawn over Prince Andrew now all these stories have come out, that's for sure!

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 07/09/2019 03:13

Thé Monaguesque Royals attending the annual Monaco picnic.
(Looks slightly odd with no sandwiches and a Bishop!)

I like Charlène’s hair, but not so keen on her wafty outfit.

Oh - I would never wish to be royal with the spotlight etc but Oh how very yes would I have loved a diary assistant / secretary to just tell me when DC needed to be when and where ( and have washed the frock / suit etc let alone the uniforms ) Grin I presume they have someone in charge of sewing in name tapes - now that is another thing I would covet. Smile

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 07/09/2019 07:59

@BasiliskStare my word, yes, and a Maker of the Book Week Costume. I think you're on to something...

QueenOfTheAndals · 07/09/2019 08:32

Oh god, the costumes! Yes I could definitely use a Master Costume Maker for all the random days that kids need to dress up! And let's not forget a cake maker for the bake sales too.

Rich people have all of that without the press chasing them about and all the duties and smiling and handshaking. I'd much prefer to just be loaded and anonymous thanks.

Daisypie · 07/09/2019 08:46

Thoughts on Victoria's very pink outfit?

Rather Pippa's life than Kate's, that's for sure...

QueenOfTheAndals · 07/09/2019 08:48

That is a LOT of pink @Daisypie! CPV does love her trouser suits.

OP posts:
DevonUkelele · 07/09/2019 08:58

Oh @Daisypie ... maybe the jacket in a charcoal or pale cream, or a snakeskin print? Or anything really to take the eye away from all that fairy floss!
