Sorry! I was in a meeting and dropped the ball.

I don't know about "extremely" but different strokes and all that!

Ingrid Alexandra has opened a sculpture park with her grandmother. MN would approve of her white trainers! Queen Sonja is very elegant in her scarf and orange coat and is, as always, extremely well coiffed.

I noticed that CPV floofy gold-ish dress in Denmark was Malene Birger - Danish design for Denmark!

www.svenskdam.se/kungliga-modebloggen/betyg-pa-kladerna-alla-victorias-outfits-i-danmark/ link to list of what CPV wore in Denmark with pics

The leopard printed dress was from Swedish brand Valerie - never heard of them. Recycled polyester and cupro, so some sort of "environmental" slant (the H&M conscious collection dress she wore to her brother's wedding was also recycled polyester I believe).

Red floral dress was from House of Dagmar, and that beige thing was from Totême - now I like Totême (and the brand has been mentioned on the Parisienne thread in connection with a most gorgeous pair of silk trousers) but that dress is a little tricky. It's doing sad foldy bits in the bosom area. FYI the reviewer in Svensk Damtidning agrees with me (but still gives it four stars because sycophant).

The beige coat she's wearing with white trousers is from Styleon, but a collection they've done with a Swedish influencer (boak) for the biggest mail order company. So Swedish design and mail order at the same time, very "of the people".

CPV has changed her hair a little, I like it. It's not scraped back into a bun, instead it has a parting first. I think it's nice, looks a little 70s retro so I'm reminded of photos of her mother back then. Svensk Damtidning speculate that she borrowed CPM:s hair dresser, since she was staying with them and CPM wears her hair like that often!

Can't see the details on Frederik's coat, must find a good pic somewhere (plz feel free to link).

Almost time for new thread Queen!

QueenOfTheAndals · 19/09/2019 08:21

@banivani am hoping we can eke this one out til the weekend and then I'll start a new thread for H&M in Africa!

Very late place marking.

banivani · 19/09/2019 10:28

@QueenOfTheAndals sounds good, but now I'm afraid to post trivial posts like this Grin I take it you have a thread title lined up? Wink

To add some substance to the thread, someone edited the wikipedia page for KCG to include lots of text about his sordid coffee girl history etc and the court intervened quickly to correct it. According to Svensk Damtidning. Who are frothing at the mouth and write "alleged strip club visits" haha - whatever. Page is back to being completely scandal free Hmm

Kate is out and about in Southwark today. Outfit looks like black trousers and a black and white spotted blouse.

whitershadeofpale · 19/09/2019 11:23

From what I can see that looks like a nice outfit.

NearlySchoolTimeAgain · 19/09/2019 12:09

This came up on my phone news feed. I'm sure it wasn't the Queen, but how lovely :)

UrsulaPandress · 19/09/2019 12:12

Kate looks great. That's the sort of outfit I would have worn for work. Safe and practical.

DevonUkelele · 19/09/2019 12:28

Is Kate in wide-legged pants again? Nice, if so - they suit here, IMHO.

Here's Sophie being greeted in Kenya. Frock looks pretty, albeit can only see it from the back. 🤔

They suit *her. Dammit!

Better pix of Sophie's outfit.

I wish Kate wouldn't use her hands like that. William does it too. It's an affectation to make them look like they're animated and interested, but the rest of the body language doesn't follow. She'd be better with a bag in her hands to keep them from flailing about so she could simply lean in and listen. Like her outfit though, I wonder if those are the Jigsaw trousers? I have those and wore them for a meeting yesterday. Comfortable, practical and smart.

QueenOfTheAndals · 19/09/2019 12:42

Here's a better look at Kate's outfit. The blouse is by Equipment, trousers and shoes might be rewears. And yes, she's doing the hand thing in the photo @DevonUkelele!

Sorry, that was meant for @LenoVentura!

OP posts:
DevonUkelele · 19/09/2019 12:48

I agree re the hand thing too, though 😁. Gee, she has such big hands too.

I've changed my mind on those pants. A wide leg and a cropped length? It's a no from me.

The photo makes her look very thin @Queen.

QueenOfTheAndals · 19/09/2019 12:57

Cropped wide legs are apparently very in right now but it's a fine line between cropped and trousers that just look too short!

OP posts:
AudacityOfHope · 19/09/2019 13:04

If those wide leg trousers were full length they would look expensive and classy. I hate the length of these ones, they're generally a bit hideous and she's too tall and slim for that shape, I think.

banivani · 19/09/2019 13:09

I like Kate's outfit, it's exactly the sort of thing that says business, but not a suit, and out and about. It's unaffected and very natural. I think she has so many great colours that suit her so black and white is a little dull, but hey ho, it's very respectable after all and sure the shops have nothing but bloody black half the time.

I disagree wbout the hands, let the woman be. It might be a trick to show animation or a bit of a tic, but I do not think it seems manipulative and let's not get mean about her hands. If I were in her shoes I'd definitely be doing a lot of things like that too. Rather that than standing stiff as a post and saying yers yers vair naice.

UrsulaPandress · 19/09/2019 13:12

I’m a big user of my hands when talking.

LenoVentura · 19/09/2019 13:12

Ah I see the trousers are cropped, so not the ones I was thinking of. Still like her outfit though, but agree that length can be difficult to pull off.

NoTheresa · 19/09/2019 13:16

Surely it is Kate’s trousers that are on view. When did people start using the ghastly word “pants”. As for her use of hand gestures, she is merely communicating. Hmm

NoTheresa · 19/09/2019 13:17

Hardly a “tic”.

beanaseireann · 19/09/2019 13:31

Oh to have a waist like Kate's. Envy

QueenOfTheAndals · 19/09/2019 13:32

Calm down @NoTheresa, not everyone here lives in the U.K. I think @DevonUkelele is in Australia where, ghastly or not, "pants" is used instead of trousers.
