I thought Royals tried to make sure their engagements didn’t clash too much; Kate and Meghan are the biggest draw

Maybe it would be better if we didn't equate women's sartorial choices with, well, anything else at all. Like the hidden meaning behind them or the impression they give. Can't they just be shoes?

Makes me feel a bit uncomfortable. There is never this burden of suitability places upon men.

She flew back on Sunday apparently. She flew commercial there so I assume it was a return ticket.

I do miss Diana's glamour. But I think today's pursed lip readers would tut at the extravagance. We are a miserable lot these days too much hair shirt virtue signalling

Me too. In SA, where we tend to drive a lot, I used to wear a lot more heels. Although I must have also just been practiced because I remember I used to go SHOPPING in heels. All the time. Not the grocery shop, but certainly the "wonder a massive (african-sized) mall for hours buying clothes because I am single and have no children so have money" shopping.

Personally, I think Meghan and Kate should go ahead and do events whenever they like. Of course, the core press pack moves with the two of them so from the point of view of attention, it makes sense to split them up (and the men need to do things on other days as they don't stand a chance of getting any media attention if their wives are busy elsewhere not he day). But at the same time, diaries sometimes mean that the same day is the best day.

Ok so the dress is a sort of duck egg blue with a pink and green floral print. It sort of reminds me of Cath Kidston furnishing fabric.
Looks like the dress is printed on cheesecloth; haven’t seen that since the 70s!

I like the prairie puritan aesthetic but I really don't like this - it is exactly like Cath Kidston wall paper. God I hate the shoes too.

I like it, not sure about the shoes, but I guess wedges are the only heeled option for gardens.

I know they like to use hand me downs so I suppose they could be the same.
