It looks a gorgeous jacket @slipperyeel. I agree about the poor quality. However their leather is beautiful.

I am not buying the Beatrice either, its nice, but I have far too many jumpers!! (and I have to remember that car bill due).

I am only justifying the Boden stuff ( well the shirts anyway) as I wanted them previously but too expensive and of course new boots dont count any old justification will do grin]

I'm a bit meh about the rest of the Hush things too. Ive not yet posted the cord crops back yet ...

Ebay have confirmed my return, but I am trying to sort out if the seller will pay the return postage.. according to ebay she is supposed to as it was mis -described and my postage I paid.. But if she refuses am I supposed to escalate it? . Shes not happy that i went through ebay anyway..

I thunk Hush is getting more expensive and not necessarily better quality. I've been buying from them for about 5 years and the old stuff is still going strong whereas newer stuff doesn't seem to be. This year's AW offering is quite samey to my mind

Did u get the cord crops? What are they like? Are they the hush ones?

Yes they are the Hush ones Never

They are nice but very thick cord - definitely winter weight (see 2nd photo) and I haven't a clue what shoes I would wear them with in winter, although they would need tights on under I think (and I hate wearing tights under trousers) Hush have their model wearing them with bare legs and ballet flats !!

I think they are going to go back..

@Sooverthemill I agree, this season is very samey and the prices are getting ridiculous, knitwear especially. There's no way I would pay more for a Hush jumper than for a really good quality piece from Toast or Sezane.

Never I love those brogues. I'm currently waiting for a pair of black patent ones to arrive that I ordered for work.

But laska they are gorgeous! You need to keep them, would you not wear with your black boots you've ordered?

But wont it look weird? ,. clumpy ankle boots and short trousers? and what do I wear on the bits in between?.. (I certainly dont want a knee gap sitting down )

I am tempted by the cord wide legs too and the cord overshirt which reminds me of one I bought from Boden in 1992! Probably about the same price tbh

Never These are a 12. They are quite snug on my waist, but you may get away with a 10

I couldnt go smaller I think even with another stone off , they are also neater on the hips than my size 10 Chamonix (and its my tum that is a bit podgy atm, hips are out the same as ever)

soover I like the Toast cord shirt (Maybe sale time if they still have it) although I think the Hush one is longer and if they had one in Ginger I'd try that

Ok here is a selection of footwear with the cords i cant get socks to work though, .
Loafers, trainers and boots , I think all ok

Loafers with socks ( socks look rubbish turned down on me ) and here is a real blast from the past some genuine 80s leather boots with heel!!! ( am unlikely to wear these as don't wear heels any more) . Look at the toe shape! Chelsea boots dont work I reckon, but brogues like the ones never linked to might

Boots look great - bottom right. Love the loafers with dark socks/tights bottom left. Trainers look best in the top shots.

I actually liked the lace up boots and trainers best.. the old leather boots heel is a bit high I think now

Anyway as you can see they are not the easiest to team with footwear..

I like the first loafers no socks and the last ankle boot. Not keen on the trainers or chunky boots myself. I bought some boots from jigsaw sale just for wide leg trousers . This is the only photo I can find of them.
