Hi all, I've been following the tribe group on Facebook for a while but just wondering if anyone here has tried it. I can't seem to get to the bottom of what they advise, seasons etc. Is there something similar closer to London. And she keeps advising chunky trainers, is this a thing now?

When you have an analysis done, you get a colour chart with your colours on. So people asking "does this colour suit me?" - well does it match your chart???

I've had mine done, and when I've bought a few thing of the correct colours, I can see a difference

Ifonlyiweretaller · 03/01/2020 19:35

I've done it and it has definitely given me more confidence to try styles I wouldnt have tried before. If a pafrticular look doesnt work on me then I just move on from it. But I definitely dress with more 'style' (in my opinion anyway Wink ) since being analysed.

And the positivity in the facebook group is a big plus in my opinion - woman actually supporting erach other. I dont agree that everyone says 'you look amazing' if you dont, they are just subtle and suggest trying a different belt / colour lippie / tuck / heel etc.

And yes you do get a colour chart for your season. I think mine is correct and I certainly know what colours are not recommended for my skin tone, although if I love something enough I will still buy it, even if technically it isnt correct.

MorrisZapp · 03/01/2020 19:36

If everyone is stunning then nobody is stunning. It's mission creep.

SallieSallow · 03/01/2020 21:22

I’ve recently done it but haven’t had the analysis back yet. I was surprised by the lack of detail required in the questionnaire but maybe they go more off the photos. I don’t really want to buy any clothes but I’m looking to do a major wardrobe cull so was hoping it might help with what to chuck/keep.

Gooseysgirl · 08/01/2020 16:16

Gosh I have to say none of the stylists posts of what their wearing today or filling me with confidence!!! And I say that as someone who has been a fan until now 🤷🏻‍♀️

Marsis · 08/01/2020 18:34

Yes, I agree it seems they all are doing similar things too, jumper over a dress today, I’m really not convinced now.

Ellapaella · 08/01/2020 18:49

Ha ha, the group has over 12,000 members so she must be doing something right.

feelingthesqueeze · 10/01/2020 16:22

I did it, it was absolutely rubbish, so dissappointed I complained.

Ellapaella · 10/01/2020 17:24

I was told I'm an hourglass which I'm not convinced about at all.

bohemia14 · 10/01/2020 17:35

I've been looking at the Facebook page. They all look like clones of each other - surely style should mean some individuality?

I'm not convinced by the analysis either. I had a friend who used to do colour analysis so I know a little about it. More than half seem to be diagnosed as autumn apples and don't all look like it to me.

closetotheaction · 10/01/2020 17:42

I think the whole point of SBS (especially that bloody Facebook group) is that it's for women who have very little sense of individual style, so the 'clone' look is pretty inevitable.

Given her level of self-promotion on FB and Insta, you'd be forgiven for thinking she'd never received a single complaint, @feelingthesqueeze.

@feelingthesqueeze what happened when you complained?

I actually like sbs but today I've started to make the odd totally honest but nice comment, one lady was just wearing something which I really felt didn't suit her, everyone said how nice it looked, I very nicely said she looks nicer in a different pic... Hopefully I won't be kicked out!

AvaSnowdrop · 10/01/2020 21:17

I’m not sure why people pay for an analysis when you can do a free online quiz to find out your colours etc. The outfits posted on the page aren’t amazing, and when people don’t look good others still tell them they do. They also recommend a lot of cheap fashion made in third world sweatshops.

Loveislandaddict · 10/01/2020 21:30

I did it in November and was impressed with the results.

I wanted to update my wardrobe from the Trinny and Suzanne days.

It’s made me think about what suits me, what doesn’t, give you suggested outfits, styles etc. There’s not one set style, but lots, depending on your personality and you don’t have to wear chunky white trainers if you don’t want to.

I love the fact that she does wear high street stores, rather than £100 t-shirts.

I wore a new jumper purchased post - analysis, and got a compliment on its first outing.

Yes, the information is available on the internet if you know where to look, but her analysis taylors it to you, plus gives you confidence to try new things.

bohemia14 · 21/01/2020 09:06

I've just downloaded her Basic Bitches style guide. £20 for an 8 page PDF document that I read in a few minutes (and could have written myself). I saw it recommended on another thread. Complete waste of money.

I've got to admire her marketing though.

pontiouspilates · 21/01/2020 09:59

I also thought her Basic Bitches Guide was a waste of money. My friend downloaded the packing guide and that too was full of the absolute obvious. Perhaps Bohemia we are not the target market? I feel her service works well for those who lack confidence and have little sense of personal style.

bohemia14 · 21/01/2020 15:02

@pontiouspilates I think you're probably right. I've had a look at the Facebook page and I personally don't agree with some of the styling but it's probably made me realise I'm more confident about what suits me than I realise. I don't think every woman needs to wear white trainers! I'm also quite surprised at how many women are analysed as Autumn and then I see them wearing colours that wouldn't suit me at all (I'm an Autumn but had my colours analysed in person by House of Colour not from photos). But if it works for them and makes them more confident that's a good thing.

EmImogen · 08/02/2020 17:02

Really interested in this post. I recently paid £65 for an analysis (gold) and was very disappointed. It is a short paragraph of insincere ‘holy moly your tiny waist’ kind of comments and then all cut and pasted ‘style guides’ that basically say if you’re a pear shape don’t wear white trousers (I’d sort of worked that out 😂). It didn’t help that I totally disagree with the analysis- apparently autumn and therefore can only wear teal, olives, gold jewellery etc (all of which I’ve tried before and just doesn’t suit me). But I was more than happy to put in down to it not being for me and if it helps some women then that’s great. However I messaged privately to politely give my feedback as didn’t want to publicly say anything as wasn’t sure if they were a small business, and Susie’s reply was vile ‘if you already decided what your style was then an online analysis wasn’t for you’ ‘I’m horrified with your comments, they are very hurtful’ etc etc.... I honestly only said that the colours recommended were wrong for me etc and at the same time I acknowledge the limitations of being able to analyse with only photos and a questionnaire so was happy to let it go and blame myself for getting sucked in.
However her terrible customer service approach then really upset me and I wanted to leave a review. However you are only allowed to leave a positive review?!
Initially I liked the Facebook group but have realised it’s just an echo chamber for susie to give herself hero worshiped status whilst throwing out a little ‘put a belt on with that/ try a tuck/ wear chunky trainers with everything’. She even comments ‘ are you even a life long styled by susie fan if....’ etc
So very underwhelmed, disappointed, feel ripped off and would warn people to be very careful as there’s no opportunity to complain when things go wrong (hence commenting on here). The glasses guide is literally half a page of a few pictures of glasses- no suggestions on what colours and shape suit your face.
I agree susie’s style looks a bit dated although Sarah and Emily who are two of her stylists (in my opinion) look good.
Genuinely pleased for the people who have got some positivity from this though, and I wish it had been me also.

MulberryPeony · 08/02/2020 17:42

I follow the Facebook page but I rarely like the stylists style and agree some of the shapes are totally wrong. Maybe I’m not the target market either?

castlesfromtherubble · 08/02/2020 19:19

@EmImogen That's such a shame and so incredibly rude. But, as you've pointed out, it's very clear that the world of SBS is a clone echo chamber (that Facebook group...Hmm) and anyone daring to do anything other than sing her praises is quickly shut down. As soon as she gets anything other than glowing feedback she's all over Instagram saying she needs 'time out'.

Can you leave a Google review? Otherwise, just share your story through word of mouth.

ilovecherries · 08/02/2020 19:29

I was given an analysis as a gift a year ago. It was an incredibly thoughtful gift given how I was feeling at the time, but to be honest I was underwhelmed with the results. I’d had a colour analysis previously but said I wasn’t convinced, but she just said I was the original analysis without any explanation as to why, I’m pretty sure she got my shape wrong and I don’t know how she got the style personality. She went on about my teeny waist. It’s not, and I’m fine with that, but if I need to lose inches off anywhere, it IS my waist. It’s a shame as it has potential to be a great service, and lots of people think it IS great, but it didn’t impress me. It all felt very cut and paste.

TheresWaldo · 08/02/2020 19:29

I started following the FB page and and it's just women wearing clothes. Someone said they'd bought a statement t-shirt as advised and it was just a Dirty Dancing one. All the pics I have seen are women looking normal. It seems like a complete rip off to me.

ilovecherries · 08/02/2020 19:32

EmImogen, that is really poor, and I can’t stand emotional manipulation when you try to make a legitimate complaint.

MabelMoo23 · 08/02/2020 19:46

I’ve had an online shop done recently and when the results came back I was a little disappointed by it.

That said, it was all New Look, Dorothy Perkins etc and to be honest, those shops really aren’t my thing.

However, I did buy 2 items from the list and actually credit where it’s due, they are things I would’ve never bought myself and actually they do look really good. But the other than that, the selection was pretty underwhelming.

But it was a gift voucher someone bought me so it didn’t cost me money as such. But the online shop costs £150 and they recommend a minimum budget of £200 - £300!!!!

It’s free in John Lewis...

So I at least now know I’m not missing out on anything although I do really like the 2 items I bought
