Previous thread. I think we'll be a bit short of royal outfits as they're all off on their holidays atm. But Kate's regatta is coming up next week, hence the thread title!

Same rules as always - keep it light, critique the clothes rather than the women, and don't believe anything printed in the Daily Mail

Possibly, I knew a woman years ago who would only wear heels as she found flats uncomfortable!

I don’t think that floor would like those heels! But that is as far as my criticism goes. I must be in a minority because i bloody loves Meghan.

My sis works for one of the retailers involved in supporting smartworks.
She says Meghan has really raised the profile.
Her company have been helping for 5 years with styling; sorting out their stockroom and mentoring.
She says women are given 3 opportunities to visit and select an outfit. She said the first time they are so appreciative they’ll say yes to a Marks & Spencer blouse, by the 3 to visit, they’ll be asking for a Burberry shirt as they’re clued up

Ré: thé capsule wardrobe; it’s actually an outfit, Jigsaw’s bestselling suit ( I forget the name; but I google it; it’s a trouser suit) a John Lewis bag, a scarf from someone.
Each time someone buys one of these items; the retailer will donate the same ( one for one) to smartworks.

Briefly going back to Eugenie and Beatrice and weddings. Beatrice is the older, and therefore closer to the throne. It's inconceivable to me that her wedding would be any less pomp and circumstance-like with the possible exception if she herself wanted it lower profile. There were a few mild snickers about her younger sister marrying before her as it was.

I really liked the Meghan video this morning; it felt very natural, and warm.

Made sense to me too! On top of that, I think Bea is of an age where she might be quite keen to get down the aisle.

I can't see any of Andrew's problems denying her exactly the kind of wedding her sister had - unless PA's issues get much, much worse. Or maybe if Charles is in charge? (yet another reason not to waste time, surely 🤔)

Loved MM's outfit. Don't want to be curmudgeonly but I found her a bit giggly and consciously cute in the video.

I have very mixed feelings about discussing that oaf on this thread. I suppose in the context of a royal visit it's unavoidable but he really shouldn't be given the oxygen of publicity.

Thanks for the info Curly! She mentioned a John Lewis tote in the Vogue article but I’ve been wondering what the other pieces will be. I’m hoping to full time work after recovering from an injury so I’ll be looking out for them!

Oh dear, William and Kate have been spotted leaving a Flybe flight from Norwich to Aberdeen - fuel to the DFail's fire re: jet-/off-setting.

Looks like the whole crowd dress as normal as ever though - Charlotte's in a cute, traditional dress, George in polo and shorts, and Louis being carried by Kate in a mid-length skirt and blocky heels. Apparently Carole was on the flight too - whole family trip to see HM!

Was that his "revenge" for Harry's 2 kids comment? Kate and Meghan seem to get on fine, maybe the two brothers need to grow up!
