Previous thread

And I think we all can agree that it's much more fun if we stick to critiquing the clothes rather than the women!

Oh wow.

Angsliga.

Thank you.

I'll have to remember that if I ever have a visit to Ireland, PinkieTuscadero. I always have a little pilgrimage to C & A in Palma if we go on holiday to Mallorca.

banivani · 11/07/2019 23:12

It wasn’t so long ago I was longing for phase eight to come to Sweden tbh (because “flattering”) but then I started thinking more about fashion and realised that phase eight isn’t (which is fine) and that’s why it doesn’t satisfy me in the long run (because clearly I have notions (that my body type and general lack of grooming and style can’t fulfil haha)).

I think DoC is gorgeous and I think her pink dress there was very pretty but I’m not inspired by that type of dressing, I’m more inspired by that over sized olive green thing. But like a PP said, there’s room for everyone!

There’s an extremely a line dress in uniqlo that I’d love to be able to wear for example. And if it had been long I might have gone for it anyway but just under knee length was no good for me.

SenecaFalls · 11/07/2019 23:17

GotToGoMyOwnWay there was a shop like that in a town I used to live in. They specialized in weddings and black tie events. It had a sort of made up French name, and one of my work colleagues nicknamed it " L'expensif."

beanaseireann · 11/07/2019 23:51

I really like Dunnes Stores Carolyn Donnelly The Edit stuff.
It has a real Cos vibe.
Dunnes have really upped their game, fashion and interiors wise.

ElspethFlashman · 11/07/2019 23:51

Good to hear there are some still about

Some?! OMG. 😂 Its a shopping behemoth!

(Really good designer diffusion lines these days in it too)

Notmyrealname855 · 11/07/2019 23:58

banivani lol!!! Stay on these boards forever :)

(... says I, a serially Coast-dependent wedding guest :))

BertrandRussell · 12/07/2019 00:03

I can’t tell you how wonderful I think it is that Meghan isn’t back to a size 8 two months after giving birth. That is a feminist thing to do on it’s own!

Bellasblankexpression · 12/07/2019 00:11

Not sure I agree Bertrand - if you do snap back does it mean you’re any less of a feminist?

I agree she looks great though - she’s very glowy and healthy looking.

Re the pictures at polo I wouldn’t be surprised if there were plenty of the duchesses talking but they weren’t used as they didn’t fit the narrative.

I was on one of the earliest threads under a different name can’t believe how many there are now, I have some serious catching up to do.

Notmyrealname855 · 12/07/2019 00:30

:( think the feminist thing to do is not mention shapes/sizes at all, not sure why I found that comment so sad :( though personally don’t think royals can be feminists, so maybe MM wouldn’t mind :P

Paradyning · 12/07/2019 01:31

Love it @banivani - never change!

There's a large Dunnes in Glasgow too

itswinetime · 12/07/2019 01:38

Re the pictures at polo I wouldn’t be surprised if there were plenty of the duchesses talking but they weren’t used as they didn’t fit the narrative.

It did make me laugh one photo of William and Harry smiling at the same time and the rift rumours are quashed according to the press. Meghan and Kate however nothing they do seems good enough to break the narrative!

GotToGoMyOwnWay · 12/07/2019 06:33

There’s another thread at the moment, where one of the posters says that there was plenty of interaction in the tents between Kate & Meghan as they know someone who was at the polo.

GotToGoMyOwnWay · 12/07/2019 06:34

Mind you most of this is quite vile so you may not want to read it.

QueenOfTheAndals · 12/07/2019 06:39

I'm surprised that thread is still standing! It's really quite disturbing how many people swallow the DM's or Sun's narrative without ever pausing to question it. I shall say no more in case MNHQ delete us for TAAT!

I'm hiding nearly all threads with Meghan in the title. It just makes me sad to read such twaddle.

GotToGoMyOwnWay · 12/07/2019 06:49

I’ve gone on them to try & bring a bit of balance but have failed miserably- some people are just horrid SadAngry

SummerPlace · 12/07/2019 06:51

@Amanduh I don’t think William looks sour; more like he is struggling not to giggle!
I agree. To me, William looks like he is suppressing a laugh. A bit like an actor corpsing (I think that's what it's called).

Notmyrealname855 · 12/07/2019 07:41

That thread is an absolute mess!!

Notmyrealname855 · 12/07/2019 07:41

Back to this lovely thread... any more Max pics?

BlingLoving · 12/07/2019 07:58

I have ignored all Meghan threads but one caught my eye so I clicked on it - it had been deleted by HQ with a message that "another Meghan these bites the dust". Made me terrified to think what was in them and I am back to ignoring them.

I hope we see them tomorrow. Serena is storming so I am sure Meghan will want to watch.

QueenOfTheAndals · 12/07/2019 08:24

If I was Meghan I'd don a wig and sunglasses, or even a burqua, and attend anonymously to avoid the press!

Full length view of Max yesterday. Glad she has put her hair up in that heat.

That’s a good look on Camilla love the photo too.

Max is doing a brilliant job of ‘feminine boss workwear’. She is a good mix of blend in and stand out from those around her. I’ve only started looking at her from these threads over the last few weeks does she always look like that?
