Teta what amazing photos! How exciting for your DC to have such fab experiences.

I think I like Mitsouko but I may be confusing it with Shalimar Blush A good excuse to retry them Wink

Jaime I looked at the Moschino but I'm still so unreasonably annoyed about that stupid bottle they did before that looked like Flash cleaner, I ruled it out Grin pleased to know I didn't miss out (but sorry it was underwhelming, so annoying when that happens)

Cant congratulations on the driving test! It's lovely to have the independence and less "faffing" when you can drive about. Aren't the cost of lessons horrendous these days though!? Paying for my DCs' atm and it costs a bomb, I can't take them out myself as planned as I'm not allowed a licence atm as my epilepsy isn't controlled enough, looks like it will be a three year wait at least Angry I understand why but it sucks and the thought of having to be driven around by my DC is terrifying, frankly^^ Wink

Laughing at your "accidental" purchases one; it's amazing how these things happen Wink I always justify mine with the magic words "and I can always sell it on eBay if I don't like it" Grin

SOTD is the PP dupe of TF Azure Lime as I am desperate for a nice limey smell to cut through this mugginess. Ironically I hate the very limey notes and only like the dry down. Which lasts about two seconds Hmm Might go back to the Virgin Island Water but it's a bit mojito-y for me.

cantbelievemyeyes · 11/08/2019 15:13

Thanks so much for the congratulations everyone, I'm honestly still shocked! I knew I could drive well enough but my nerves were the big worry. My husband failed his test this week so it's a mixed bag of emotions in our house.

SOTD so far has been the Eau de Memo from the HN box. Lovely light citrussy leather, quite fleeting on me though.

Migraine.

Ugh.

My new avon arrives later...I shall review later!

Avon soft musk delice is a very pleasant chocolate gourmand

MaudBaileysGreenTurban · 12/08/2019 20:44

SOTD has been LADDM. Swoon.

SOTD yesterday was Clinique Wrappings, which wasn't quite so successful. I wanted something a bit brisk for a chilly day, but it annoyed me after a couple of hours. One does need to be careful with those Clinique classics (that and Aromatics, mainly) - they're not backwards in coming forwards!

I have started wearing L'Heure Bleue to bed.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 12/08/2019 21:21

SOTD FM POAL. First day back at work. URGH.

I hope you're OK Teta - see there are problems at HK airport today, but are you now in KL?

Hope tomorrow is better Judy.

Rather enjoying avon soft musk delice!
Lovely for bedtime/after a shower...

MrsMoggs · 13/08/2019 19:13

SotD is the Ella K, Memoire de Daisen LN from the HN/TPS box. Interesting, as I rarely wear modern-style florals. Quite like this - rose/peony but with a significant and impressively long lasting citrus presence (tangerine?). Stops it being impossibly pink.

MaudBaileysGreenTurban · 13/08/2019 19:40

Where is my HN box? We're off up the road to Glasgow on Thursday and I want to take some new goodies with me.

SOTD has been Outrecuidant by Histoires des Parfums. A rather good dark, spicy, incensey rose. Like a lot.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 13/08/2019 21:45

SOTD Diptyque Philosykos.

maud I am in Glasgow on Sunday/Monday. I will be sniffing likely looking women as I pass... I have a training thing on Monday, but travelling on Sunday and having dinner with my friend at the new Ivy. V excited.

(Sorry, I somehow assume we are all women on this thread, but as soon as I posted that I realise that might not be the case. I didn’t mean to offend anyone there.)

MaudBaileysGreenTurban · 13/08/2019 22:15

Haha, don't worry Judy, am definitely a likely- looking woman GrinGrin

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 13/08/2019 22:39

Can you tell I was at training today about respecting diversity, maud?

Sorry to crash the thread but can someone in the know please answer a question. Creed is meant to be very high quality using finest natural ingredients and so on. Why is it so much cheaper in bigger bottles? The cost isn't in the bottle but in the contents so is pricing structure just devaluing the contents? I'd expect some saving but the 100ml Aventus is nearly £100 cheaper than buying 2 50ml bottles.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 13/08/2019 23:28

nom I don’t personally know anything about Creed, but surely it’s just economies of scale, like if you buy the biggest box of cornflakes, or 20 loo roll works out cheaper per roll than buying four? You are only paying for one lot of packaging too. I know that’s saying “t’was ever thus”, but “t’was ever thus”.

Hi Qwerty - sorry, no, idea. Someone may be along who knows...

Female solidarity is an interesting thing...

I wonder what happened to our regular (out) male poster of a year or so ago?

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 13/08/2019 23:32

Oh, and in terms of devaluing the contents, I would say the opposite, you pay the price of not being able to afford the bigger bottle - they have kindly made it more affordable for you to have a little taste. (By “you” I mean everyone.)

Grey and wet today...

I'm craving my beloved pp by the fireplace.

I've ordered more from pp brexit stash

MaudBaileysGreenTurban · 14/08/2019 09:31

I'm in Paul Smith Rose. Fresh and light and pretty...and therefore completely unsuitable for today's shitty rainy chilly weather! Might have to vanilla-up later.

Hoooo · 14/08/2019 14:14
