I am off to very exotic Northumberland! :)

Cant wait:)

I'm going to book an afternoon perfume making at 4160 tuesdays in October for my b day.

Dh and the boys are going away in August so its only fair :)

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 08/07/2019 22:00

SOTD MMM Beach Walk, after reading about it up thread. This is the end of my sample, and I so wish I could justify a full bottle. I could afford it, but just don’t feel it’s wearable 355 days of the year because the weather here is so cold and rubbish.

A holiday is a holiday & Northumberland is great according to friends.
I'm off to the wilds of Norfolk next month.
Ooh an afternoon at 4160 Tuesdays perfume making! You lucky thing.
We want a blow by blow, drop by drop full account! (Should we email Sarah to tell her to hide a certain ingredient Grin)?

Iambuffy · 08/07/2019 22:33

I love it up there ❤

jaimie you wouldn't!!!!??? 😯😖😁

Iambuffy · 08/07/2019 22:34

We've rented a cottage right by the beach.

Wood burning fire (for marshmallows obv).

I'm hoping for a restful week. Feeling very tired.

JaimeBronde · 08/07/2019 22:39

Judy treat yourself regardless of the weather!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 08/07/2019 23:00

jaime if it came in small I would, but £100 for something I can only wear a handful of times a year just doesn’t sit right! I am just finishing off a bit of freelance stuff which pays about £400 (extra to my proper job) so am definitely going to treat myself to something when that comes in.

Perfume obsession has warped my whole life view....

Sat down last night and thought "Why do I smell of Freeway? I didn't wear Freeway today?" and I sniffed appreciatively. Oh, the sweet smell of tyre rubber. I puzzled... have I spilled my bottle?

BUT NO! It was two actual buggy tyres that I had ordered, which had arrived and were sitting in their packaging on the floor under the coffee table Shock Blush

FloofyCatHasDoneAVeryBadThing · 09/07/2019 08:07

Judy Perfume Parlour do a dupe of Beach Walk! I've haven't tried it but when I looked it had a couple of good reviews. I know it's not the like of feeling of buying a proper new bottle though Although if it's only for a few days a year, are there any decants available anywhere?

On that note, with my 4160 Tuesdays order I got a note saying they do a 25% discount if they refill your empty bottles

FloofyCatHasDoneAVeryBadThing · 09/07/2019 08:12

Mother that's so funny!!I love the smell of rubber especially when I was pregnant. (This is embarrassing) I used to buy childrens' plimsolls just so I could sit sniffing the soles Grin

FFS I forgot my main question, O wise Perfumistas. As a joke I want to get a sample of Sécrétions Magnifique for DH's anniversary present. I cannot find one anywhere - Roullier White had the samples but are sold out. Any ideas? It's kind of an in joke and he isn't doing much laughing at the moment so I'm desperate!

YesQueen · 09/07/2019 08:21

SOTD - pp dupe acqua di parma colonia

teta · 09/07/2019 08:28

There's a tiny bottle on eBay at the moment @FloofyCatHasDoneABadThing.
Sotd is Gardenia Petale .
Can't join in the rubber love but would really go for a perfume with a petrol note.

FloofyCatHasDoneAVeryBadThing · 09/07/2019 09:13

Thank you teta, they won't ship to the U.K. (and the price is a little too high for a joke present after I have spent my Perfume budget on myself this month Wink)

Iambuffy · 09/07/2019 09:17

I keep looking at the pp website
But I really must not...

FloofyCatDoesBadThings · 09/07/2019 13:59

I've done A Bad Thing Blush (so now you have to buffy, to make me feel better Grin)

In my defence I need a little bottle to take on holiday with me so I ordered some Sleep Knot. Plus it's been a hard week and it's only Tuesday Wink

(It's also guaranteed now that My Bad Thing will be the half price scent of the week next week now I've already bought some, because that's always the sort of luck I have Angry)

So come on Buffy, take one for the team so I'm not the only bad person Wink

Iambuffy · 09/07/2019 14:25

Noooooooooo

😁😈

Lotsofpots · 09/07/2019 18:59

SOTD was sexiest scent.
Baby turned one at the weekend (sob!) and is now cutting a tooth, work is busy, money is tight (when the revolution comes I want luxury perfume and affordable childcare for all), and DH is under the weather. I'm opting for easy failsafes every day atm.

Iambuffy · 09/07/2019 19:09

Had a slight housefire today.

I'm feeling rather discombobulated tbh.

Then 4160 Tuesdays post about a new fragrance they are selling on Saturday....amber woods.

Amber bloody woods!!!!!

Wtf???

I think SM is trolling me! My 2 favourite scents! Come ON! 🤬

I'm feeling very very sorry for myself.

Oh, and I have no oven.

(Cries)

lots 1 already!???? That seems impossible! Enjoy those cuddles x

Bodyonme · 09/07/2019 19:12

Floofy - bloomperfume.co.uk/products/scrtions-magnifiques

Bodyonme · 09/07/2019 19:15

Holy shit buffy are you all ok?? What happened?

Happy 1st birthday to baby pots!

My mum is going into hospital tomorrow for some fairly major surgery. I made her a care package to take in which of course contained perfume - the PP dupe of Le Labo Bergamot 22 as it's a roll on so no one can object and it's fresh enough to cut through any stinky ward smells.

Iambuffy · 09/07/2019 19:29

It's a long tedious story but short version is:
oven was crap
company agree to replace
after 7 long months today finally arrives when I get my new oven and....
the fitter turns it on to 250 degrees, leaves but forgets to take out all the packaging in the oven cavity.
Thank God I didnt leave to pick ds2 up from school!!!
So I have a smoke damaged kitchen and soft furnishings and no oven.
Company's involved don't seem to give a crap.
I'm very, very angry.
But also quite fed up of it all.
They are quoting 2-3 weeks for a new "new" one.
No idea of the legal side of things but a phone call and a sorry would be nice.
Oh, and we go away on saturday.
Ffs.

Iambuffy · 09/07/2019 19:30

Hope your mum is ok body x

JaimeBronde · 09/07/2019 19:33

Oh no Buffy poor you 💐 Must have frightened the life out of you.
How are you all?
(I can't work out if 4160 Tues are being kind or contrary)

Happy 1st to Baby Pots

Body that's a lovely thing to do & hope your DMs surgery go well.
When I was having my operations years ago, I always took Bergamot, Lavender, Neroli & Tea Tree Oil to the hospital with me, mainly for the antibacterial properties as hospital MRSA infection was a big thing in the press at the time.

JaimeBronde · 09/07/2019 19:35

Stupid stupid oven fitter!

You should be fully insured on your house insurance but it's the last thing you need.

Iambuffy · 09/07/2019 19:41

I'm not paying the excess on the insurance...our premiums would go up too.
I've asked for a claim form for dry cleaning costs, paint etc
I've got about 4 people phoning me back tomorrow.
No one at the various companies seems to think its a big deal....its not me is it???
It's quite a big deal???
This all after a very stressful morning having to deal with a change of venue for one of my voluntary groups and all the fall out from that.
I'm done today :(
