Now that the Orange One has gone, it's almost time for a visit from the Oranje One! Yes, Queen Max will be attending next Monday's Garter ceremony. It'll be a triplicate fashion face-off between her, Letizia and Kate - who will emerge victorious?

But as a counterpoint apparently Diana really loved the ring. So much so that she continued to wear it for ages after the divorce and only started to replace it with the honking great aquamarine in her last year or so when she really couldn't get away with still wearing her old engagement ring.

So perhaps they viewed it fondly simply because she did.

The queen looks fabulous in lilac. Max's hat is gorgeous.

Sophie look gorgeous in pink and flowers.

Love the blue on Kate. Love the hat. Love the shoes. Love the dress from the waist down but not keen on the fussy neck-tie, the neckline or the sleeves.

And HM's hat is pretty snazzy too!

Is Kate wearing one of her multiple blue lace dresses? she looks great, but I hope it's a rewear and not another similar dress

Liking the Ascot fashion & I picked the winner of the Queen Anne stakes, so all good! 😊

Max looks absolutely amazing - love everything about her outfit.
Ditto Zara - that long floral dress is gorgeous (is she having another baby or is it just the camera angle?)

The York girls are a No from me this time I'm afraid. Don't like the cut of Bea's dress at all, or her shoes, or her hat. It all looks far too matronly and boring. And Eugenie's dress isn't much better and her hat just doesn't......go!

The blue dress is another Edwardian nightie for Kate - she looks like Lady Mary from Downton but she makes it work! Sophie's dress is pretty (though maybe not a roll-neck?), Max is fabulous as always, Beatrice is a no from me and while I love that shade of blue on Eugenie's, I'm not sure the cut is that flattering.

I really like Kitty Spencer's white lace dress too.

@BlingLoving Yes, I will post a photo when I have it! It's funny, it's completely different to all the rings I was looking at beforehand but I fell in love with it!

Kate's dress is growing on me but her hat is so dull. Love Zara's dress. And love, love everything about Max's outfit - obvs.

Zara's dress is great on her but the hat is far too small and makes her head look a funny shape.

Jesus christ, Kate looks dreadful, like a Victorian nurse come to haunt us all. That blue/grey is so insipid. And shoes that cost more than £500 when she clearly has hundreds of pairs yet MM gets all the shit.

I think it is @Paradyning. Saab is the favoured designer of the Luxembourg royal women, but I've not seen any of the Brits sporting it.

I don’t see any issue with Camilla wearing jewellery once worn by Diana as PofW. Not on if it was personal jewellery. Always thought it odd that William didn’t buy Kate a new engagement ring!

I like Beatrice's, especially the hat but the top half of Eugene's looks poorly fitting and made. Max is the star of the show, how I wish I could pull that outfit off. It's lovely to see everyone looking like there are at a fun family get-together.

I like to imagine that Max and Mike Tindall get on famously!

I much prefer Max's outfit today.
I didn't like the wide belt yesterday and the darts at the bust were rather odd!
I love Kate's outfit and her shoes.
The Queen looks fab- I love her hat.
From what I can see of Eugenie's outfit I really don't like it.
Beatrice's is dressier and suits the occasion better.

@beanaseireann It's a vintage-style halo ring, so stones halfway down the band and then a princess cut diamond surrounded by a halo of smaller diamonds.

I'd have said no to Diana's engagement ring if I'd been Kate. Even Diana didn't fall in love with it, she chose it because it was the biggest of the rings presented to her to choose from.

I like Kate's outfit today, it's very her. Zara looks fab, so does Max.

Just seen Kate at royal Ascot. Breathtaking. Her dress is exquisite. She looks simply flawless.

I got a variation of it a couple of years ago as an anniversary present.
I chose it hurriedly and left a nicer halo ring in the jewellers.

Can no-one else see the hideous tassel thing on Bea's hat? It really looks like its fallen off something else and landed in the middle of her hat brim.
