Now that the Orange One has gone, it's almost time for a visit from the Oranje One! Yes, Queen Max will be attending next Monday's Garter ceremony. It'll be a triplicate fashion face-off between her, Letizia and Kate - who will emerge victorious?

I don't like Kate's outfit at all. Just so insipid and it feels dull for a woman in her 30s. The Queen looks great and I love Zara's dress but Max steals the show. Just fabulous.

What are Beatrice and Eugenie wearing on their heads? Their hats (and Eugenie's dress) are awful.

Something I only learnt yesterday but ladies hats should, apparently, always be tipped to the right. (if they tip)

So why is Eugenie's tipped to the left? And the darts in the top of her dress are just wrong.

I like Kate's dress and I'm not normally a fan of her nightware look Zara looks lovey Beatrice's dress is awful Eugenie maybe it's the stitching or something but it looks like it's needs more linning in the bust area

There’s a lot of bad frockage going on there. Kate looks like a mother of the bride from 1979.

The royals all look slightly tipsy today. Not sure when I’ve seen them all look so jolly as a group. They must have had hipflasks in their carriages.

The relevant passage from Saint Jilly of Cooper:

Really not sure about this AT ALL.

Reminds me of the 1980s when people (my aunt) had a spare roll of wallpaper leftover from decorating the bedroom and decided 'oh let's stick it on the ceiling rather than waste it'.

However..... Let us all solemnly contemplate the glorious majesty of Eugene's arse in that dress.

I love the length of Kate's skirt but Not the hat, I am sure it is supposed to... but it looks upside down to me.

Oh dear, I don't think I really like any of the dresses today. Kate's is too fussy and frilly. Max's is rather shapeless and not a flattering colour. The less said about Beatrice and Eugenie's the better.

Sophie's dress is okay but the matching hat fabric is not.

I think Zara is the winner today.

I'm a bit confused why all the Royals (with the exception of Eugenie) all want to look as matronly as possible.

I wonder who chose the blue theme. I think Kate likes a theme but surely it's HM s call?
