Now that the Orange One has gone, it's almost time for a visit from the Oranje One! Yes, Queen Max will be attending next Monday's Garter ceremony. It'll be a triplicate fashion face-off between her, Letizia and Kate - who will emerge victorious?

She does indeed i don't think I have seen Kate looking so relaxed at a formal event unless she is with the kids. I especially like the ones where you can tell (i think). Max and Kate are finding their husbands outfits ridiculous.

I agree with the pp Williams about whatsapp today probably not a fun place! I imagine the cousins group isn't the place he would want to be right now 😂

Max just looks fabulous! i don't think Kate suits white particularly and I don't like her outfit. Camilla's outfit is lovely but she looks a bit po-faced!
Queen of Spain looks lovely. Love Sophie's outfit too.

Max - exquisite as ever.
Leti - too long and somehow looked cheap (quite an achievement!).
Sophie - fine (a repeat?).
Kate - Worst. Outfit. Ever. Sorry.

I love Kate's outift. I like 99% of everything she wears tbh, and it's probably how i would chose to dress if i were in her shoes. The only exception is the skinny jeans when they come out.

Max looks lovely. She loves a wide belt doesn't she? Those lovely soft baby pink leather gloves ..... !

That's it I'm getting some soft leather gloves for next winter!

I didn’t like what Kate’s wearing to start with but have seen more pictures & it’s grown on me - I like the peplum & love the hat. I prefer the less flippy skirts (Trooping was excellent I thought) but this one adds a bit of variety by being shorter than usual. She looks happy & relaxed.

Max should be Queen of All Things ... she’s fabulous (fangirl swoon). Leti’s earrings are amazing but the hat/fascinator thingie isn’t great. The men all look ridiculous but HM & Anne can carry the robes etc.

Wow everyone looks incredibly stylish! Doesn’t it remind you of a modern day “My Fair Lady at the races”, all in beautiful hats and beautifully tailored clothes - and they do look really happy! Max is a good influence :)

There's just so something about Max. I'd never really took much notice her of until these threads.
Max comes across as so fun & lovely. I bet even if she has strop e.g. moans at Wax for leaving his dirty washing on the floor or the kids rooms being a tip as it's not fair on the staff, I can imagine after she's had her moment of terrifying the life out of you then she'd immediately turn round give you a big hug & apologise for losing it.

I do actually like Kate's outfit but think it would look better without the piping down the body. They all look so happy!

Isn't it interesting how our opinions vary. I really didn't like Kate's outfit today - dull and too short, but I loved Sophie's outfit.

I was disappointed not to see any photos of Mary Peters. As a child I remember her coming to my primary school and we were all allowed to hold her gold medal. It was very exciting.

I have just been looking at the photos from today and Sophie's outfit reminds me of the Baroness from the Sound of Music.

Kate's hair always looks fab in those intricate up-dos. The rest of the outfit - not so much.

Agree with others, Max for the win (outside HM, obvs 😁). I did quite like Letezia's outfit too - I know the puffy sleeves are divisive but they do seem to be very in.

Bring on the Ascot frockage!

That's the best bit about Ascot, the frocks.
Obviously HM is more interested in what the four legged are are wearing 😊
There is a lovely story of HM as a little girl having push along horses, rocking horses & hobby horses and each night she had to put every 'horse' to bed in it's pretend stable.

beanaseireann that’s an amazing story about Adrienne Cullen. Max and Wax just seem so warm and lovely to everyone they meet.
Had a moment of realising not everyone has such interest in Euro royalty. DH looked at me strangely when I shrieked “OHMYGODMAX&WAAX” at the telly during the state visit to Ireland.

Max IMO shows that natural extroverts have a better time being royal.

I understand why and I don't think there is a hidden agenda or anything but it's a shame Meghan wasn't there today. I think it would be great for her to meet and interact with someone (Max) who does being royal differently to the U.K. royals I think it would give her some confidence. I'm not saying either way is wrong and I think a lot of blame lies with the press DM I'm looking at you but I do think Max's natural warmth and enjoyment would have been a really positive thing for Meghan.

Maybe they will meet at ascot but I don't expect to see Meghan there and that's fair enough I would just love to see the two interact.

Leto looks so old and quite chilling looking. I’ve never noticed this so much more. She is hated in Spain. Perhaps they see this all the time.....

Max looks great. Camilla too. Kate achieved the perfectly groomed and perfectly staid look if that was her aim.

Sorry? It’s a shame that a woman who had a baby 4 weeks ago isn’t back at work yet?

My ex had a Spanish friend @SlipperOrchid who hated Leti. She couldn't understand why SFF (probably just FF back then) had chosen a divorced newsreader when there were plenty of "more suitable" women around. Sounds familiar, doesn't it?

Thought the Garter ceremony was only attended by members? And Harry isn’t a member - not sure he will be, as part of future streamlining. Also MM probably likes the break! She must like the downtime (wonder if she’s watching Love Island :) )
