Yes Gin I’ve got a lovely basket bag which I’m itching to use. And yes the yellow will be gorgeous against white too. I’m just hoping they’ll fit. But I figured that as the toe is suede it will definitely stretch if needed.

I’m not actually going away on holiday this year (not planned anyway) so I’m hoping for another hot hot summer this year so I can actually wear all these things...

GinandGingerBeer · 03/06/2019 17:01

Ooh well I can thoroughly recommend it @soups
Something for everyone really, city by the sea. Great shopping too! Wink
Oh and the food is fab.
I love Spain, especially doing cities by the sea so you can have best of both worlds.
Valencia is stunning, love Malaga too as it's compact yet has plenty to offer.
Going to Turkey has made us realise how extremely expensive Spain has got though Sad

Ninkaninus · 03/06/2019 17:01

And yes! It’s so tempting seeing others’ items isn’t it. You just picture so many gorgeous outfits...

I’m going to have to get on that bench though!!

Ellapaella · 03/06/2019 17:08

@twosoups1972 the soles are a completely different colour! I still really like them though - are you keeping them?

twosoups1972 · 03/06/2019 17:08

Thank you gin We went to Barcelona last October which me and 18 year old dd loved. 12 year old dd, however, not so much! She doesn't really appreciate cities or culture. Her only request for our holiday this year is that she can go body boarding. Do you know if you can do it around that region?

twosoups1972 · 03/06/2019 17:09

@ella I'm not sure. I really don't like the colour of the soles. I've sent them an email with a picture to see what they say, maybe I got a dud pair....

Ellapaella · 03/06/2019 17:19

@twosoups1972 Portugal is the place for body boarding!

Ellapaella · 03/06/2019 17:20

We are all surfers/body boarders and go to north Devon every summer and Portugal is great too - a bit further up the coast from the algarve. If you like I could recommend a place .

twosoups1972 · 03/06/2019 17:30

Oooh yes please @ella We want a nice holiday with some bodyboarding for dd and stuff for us to do too.

GinandGingerBeer · 03/06/2019 17:37

I've just been checking my photos soups and I'm pretty sure you can. There are two beaches and one of them had a lot of surf shops and surfer dudes Smile
@soy might know?

Laska2Meryls · 03/06/2019 19:49

nink love your haul, reallu love the cream blouse and suede jacket.

miffy that H&M dress is lovely , I also like it in the floral print..sorry you are feeling so rubbish, Im post meno now and did get away pretty lightly , but I take that as a reward for all the years of Really horrible periods which gave me migraines and sickness every ruddy month!

Ok heres some stuff d from me , Jigsaw Kaftan is an absolute keeper! (it also has a cute tassle as you can see)

Also here is a Hush green skirt from Brand alley, modelled with old granite green slub T which is the same colour) which I want your opinion on, I actually can see me wearing this on holiday , with T or vest top but honest opinions wanted please, it arrived v crinkled . Is it OK on me? and worth the £25? .. I also ordered the scuba top , but that is going back

Mint Velvet dress next post ! ..

so Mint Velvet.. this is a really nice dress, but I am not sure about it on me! . Am going to get DH opinion ( but hes away for a few days ) and yours too please! Its made of four squares, the fabric and pattern is lovely, and it would be great g for Greece. But again, not sure about it on me , especially because of boobage issues ( see v unflattering side photo - I do think I look pretty huge in it tbh ). I am wearing a strapless bra under . . What do you think?

and finally ( if MN will let me) here are the mustard saltwaters..
I think they are going back.. I dont think the colour does anything for me as legs are jusy too white ( and they never really go anything more than pale beige even with fake tan (and I do have gold ones already .. )

Laska2Meryls · 03/06/2019 20:00

Soups I think that at that price you have to absolutely love them..

dontcallmelen · 03/06/2019 20:03

Laska I really like the MV dress on, you have beautiful shoulders but i would only keep definitely get some wear out if it, it’s an ideal holiday dress, love love the kaftan & the skirt for 25.00 is a again an handy holiday staple with a vest or T-shirt.

dontcallmelen · 03/06/2019 20:47

Ok the OS dress came, it’s beautifully made & a lovely weighty cotton.
It fits fine, but... not sure it really suits me I think it makes my boobs look a bit matronly as it’s quite high waisted & would probably look better if it had a boat neck, So wise ones opinions please.

Just marking the page quickly. Will read back later. Thanks for starting a new thread @cherries :)

Laska2Meryls · 03/06/2019 21:00

I Love the skirt shape on you in that dress ,len but the neck is a bit high for you I think Maybe something like this shape neck would work better? -but it doesnt have the lovely sash, so you'd have to add one (but I bet you could make one easily enough) But it looks good with stripes also In fact, there are lots of nice dresses on this site ...

Laska2Meryls · 03/06/2019 21:01

and I love the yellow shoes with it len

NotAnActualSheep · 03/06/2019 21:33

Ooooh, len- that's a lovely dress, and the shoes are amazing! I really like the sash... the whole look is quite Audrey Hepburn! It also seems to fit you really well, though I agree it may be better with a wider, boat neck? Maybe a seamstress could do that..? I have to say I did laugh at you needing to avoid brown cos it was your school uniform colour! I've only pretty recently tolerated navy again for the same reason Grin . And I left that school over 25 years ago...

Also love laskas photos! The kaftan looks so cool and elegant. I like the MV dress too. I think it's such a casual style that it doesn't matter that it's not fitted/tailored. It will be obvious from how it moves that you're not huge!! The BA skirt is really pretty too. The sandals are sooooo cute though! I know you have others, and you know if you'd wear them or not, but I do think that colour is really versatile and I don't think they make your legs look ill or anything (if that is a thing) Confused.

goodluck - you look fab in those jeans and the sandals are gorgeous!! Also, how lovely the support you, gin and nink can offer each other. Such a lovely thread... GrinStar

soups - glad your DDs exam went well. Fingers crossed over the summer! I have the duckegg Kensington from autumn and didn't actually wear it that much at the time, (just felt a bit odd with tights and boots to me) but it's definitely coming into its own in the spring with bare legs etc as modelled so nicely by gin and cherries. It's a good weight and I think hangs well. Have to say, was pretty sh1te manufacturing quality though... The buttonholes were all ragged and I had to cut one open. Hope they've upped their game on that. Pity about the lovely trainers. I agree the colour is totally different from the website pic! I can understand studio lighting etc getting it different, but as you say, the contrast between upper and sole is right out. V weird...
nink- love your choices... All very versatile and as you say can fill gaps in your wardrobe. The suede jacket is beautiful, and I really love that JL halterneck...really unusual with the fabulous huge tie.

miffy I say keep the h and m dress! Such a pretty colour and so swooshy!

Hope you've all had great days, and fuzzy, hope your appt went well. I have hearing again--hurrah! I also needed to collect some stuff from JL (not exciting, clothes stuff) and had a fab scone and coffee which felt very decadent and has made me feel happy all day. I'm easily pleased.

Ellapaella · 03/06/2019 21:41

@dontcallmelen from the photo you've posted I think the dress is lovely - absolutely love the look with the yellow shoes - tres chic! Can't really see anything matronly about boobage and as you know we are all our own enemies when it comes to looking in the mirror and I think we all see flaws on ourselves that others don't notice. I say it's a keeper. I can see you at many a garden party or bbq this summer in that.

@Laska2Meryls the kaftan and the MV dress are lovely. Really nice and I vote you keep. Green skirt is nice and it looks very similar to your Marissa dress from last summer.

NotAnActualSheep · 03/06/2019 21:56

OK, so the jigsaw chinos arrived, and I agree with laska that the quality is amazing... Really nice, non see-through fabric, though not as heavy as denim. But I'm just not sure they suit me. I think I'm going to give up with trousers... I can manage my waist to hip ratio and huge thighs much easier in skirts and dresses! Also, think I'd get them dirty in a microsecond. Though having said that, they are really comfy, and I feel a bit like I'm on a safari (is that a good thing? Not sure!). I tried a jigsaw broderie top too and that is definitely going back... Not sure quite what is wrong with the fit but it showed my bra from virtually every angle, and though I could play around with the armholes so it didn't, I'm just not sure it's worth it! V pretty though.

I'm wearing the chinos in the photo with the fitflop gladiator sandals someone linked to on a previous thread ( cherries ? laska?) that are on brand alley now for £39...and the hush olive v neck from there too (also got a rainbow tee to channel my inner toddler and the washed black military jacket which I totally don't need but looks pretty useful).

Also the boden jacket arrived and it's actually really nice, though I'm wondering if I should try a size down? It is VERY boxy, and there's loads of room everywhere, even around the bum/hips which can be a problem. Though I think it is supposed to be oversized. And again, I think it will get grubby quite quickly. Its got a lovely soft grey lining in the hood.

Will put photos in the next post...

Laska2Meryls · 03/06/2019 21:58

Ella I bought that skirt in the black in the sale and wore it loads last summer. It is similar to the Marissa ( which I just sold) but it was the top that bothered me about it , so that's why I thought I'd try the green skirt. Have decided it's definitely staying.
I'll hold fire on sending the Salties back I think and have another try on in better light.. I did get them 20% off.. Mv dress I'm going to as DH ( but he's like Soy's DH .. likes me in most things.. esp those that show off a bit of boob Grin.. ).
I still have bikini to come, it got sent to wrong sorting office I'm told ..

NotAnActualSheep · 03/06/2019 21:58

Chinos and boden coat... and funky sandals which are sooooooo comfy (I'm turning into a bit of a sandal fiend, apparently...)
