soups just realised that jacket was JIGSAW, not WHISTLES which comes up huge, so the M (which is OOS now) probably would have fit me just fine!!

I don’t know what happened, I must have been very confused. I looked at it numerous times over the space of at least a week or two and never once twigged that it wasn’t whistles sizing I was looking at. Or does jigsaw come up huge too (hopeful)? I’ve only got one top from them which I haven’t worn yet because it’s cashmere and I’m keeping it for winter.

Ninkaninus · 04/06/2019 12:36

sheep I’m a perfectionist and really very harsh on myself in a way that I’d never be to anyone else. I work really hard to not listen to that inner critic because I want to be free to live.

twosoups1972 · 04/06/2019 13:10

@ninka Jigsaw does come up big. The M in the jacket was huge and billowy on me. What size do you wear normally? Keep checking because stock does come back in sometimes.

@sheep the skirt and top look fab! And your feet look fine too! Smile

Ninkaninus · 04/06/2019 13:12

I’m a very big size 12 atm, and busty.

twosoups1972 · 04/06/2019 13:25

@Ninka then a M MIGHT fit you but I suspect you will still find it big.

Ninkaninus · 04/06/2019 13:27

Yeah I don’t want it to be billowy and oversized and I’m aiming to be on the very small side of 12 in a month or so, so I expect you’re right. Okay phew I can let it go now. Grin

twosoups1972 · 04/06/2019 13:30

Grin Maybe a S will come back into stock for both of us!

So the trainer saga continues - Daniel have confirmed that there has been an issue with their supplier and ALL the pairs of trainers in this style have the wrong colour sole. So I won't be getting a replacement pair at the moment sadly. Oh well I can save the money.

twosoups1972 · 04/06/2019 15:07

@sheep are you keeping the pink Boden jacket? I really like it.

twosoups1972 · 04/06/2019 15:09

Trainer update - found my size in stock in a branch and they are keeping them for me until I can get in. Just when I thought I would save £200, now they have been dangled in my face again Grin They have assured me they have the right colour sole. I'm going in on Thursday to try them.

NotAnActualSheep · 04/06/2019 16:41

Lol @ the whistles/ jigsaw confusion! I do that too. Seasalt and saltwater are my worst. i just can't get them straight. But I hope there is a sudden deluge of that jacket anyway so you can both get a reasonable size Grin .

Thanks soups - and promising news on the trainers. They sound like their customer service is pretty good! I never even realised Daniel had actual real life shops - I've only come across them online.

I caved and have ordered a 10 in the pink boden jacket which had been oos earlier. I sent the other one back at lunchtime - I just thought it was too big - even if the 10 is too small...I asked for an exchange in the smaller size in either the pink or navy, so I'll see if that comes through, and then I can send the one I've just ordered back and keep the use of the £10 voucher...hopefully.

ilovecherries · 04/06/2019 17:35

Just popping in for a quick hello. Have nearly finished that piece of work, and quietly chuffed about the unexpected bonus of it. It’s my wedding anniversary today, so if I can get this finished - I promised it by 9 tomorrow - we’ll go out for dinner - although will probably require some serious effort on my part, have barely cleaned my teeth since Thursday, never mind look in a mirror.

Happy anniversary @cherries Wine Hope you have a lovely meal out. Your last line reminds me of a Victoria Wood quote from dinnerladies:

'Are you too busy to have an orgasm?'
'Orgasm? I haven't blown my nose since Wednesday' GrinGrin

dontcallmelen · 04/06/2019 17:59

Happy anniversary Cherries hope you get out for a nice meal🍾
Not the skirt & top combo tis lovely, would be rude not to keep.
Soups yeahy cheering again, those trainers may yet be yours.
Nink yy we should learn to just embrace ourselves & enjoy being brilliant women, may join you on the crying bench though as my search for clothes seems to be a particularly fruitless & am bored with keep traipsing to the post office, RL shopping for me I think for a while.
Not my seamstress ability is nil as well, I once repaired the hem of trousers with staples as I couldn’t thread the bloody needle😂 I think if the dress had been plain rather than a button placket, it would have been possible to alter it, but seems a lot of faffing about.

FuzzyPuffling · 04/06/2019 19:33

Happy Anniversary Cherries
It is our wedding anniversary today too!

twosoups1972 · 04/06/2019 19:40

Awww happy anniversary to you too fuzzy Have you got anything special planned?

dontcallmelen · 04/06/2019 19:45

Fuzzy happy anniversary 🍾 hope you have had a lovely day.

FuzzyPuffling · 04/06/2019 19:54

We went to a Farm Shop for lunch! (We know how to live!) It was really nice...half the menu is veggie or vegan, not just one dish as an afterthought.

ilovecherries · 04/06/2019 20:01

Happy anniversary, fuzzy. In the end, DH went out for dinner and is currently cooking. I just have some tables to check for the final paper but I am knackered. We know how to live as well :)

@goodluckandgodspeed that's lovely where's it from?
@NotAnActualSheep love the skirt and matching top - looks fab.

Happy anniversary cherries and fuzzy
🥂🍾

NotAnActualSheep · 04/06/2019 20:23

Oh, happy anniversary cherries and fuzzy!! 🎉🍾💐🎉

But what a pain you've had to work cherries - hopefully you can celebrate properly once you're done! Your lunch sounds lovely fuzzy... being veggie I know the pain of a huge menu of carefully considered meat dishes, and a veggie lasagne or mushroom risotto as the token veggie thing (and vegans don't stand a chance!)... TBH, I don't really mind only having a choice of one or two things (I panic a bit if faced with a huge menu I can choose from!) but it is so nice if it's interesting or unusual!

soups snigger love dinner ladies!

len - but you know about plackets Grin which is more vocab than I can dredge up. And cunning plan on the staples! Yy, real shops can be so much simpler, as long as they don't have sales assistants saying "oh, no, we don't have that in stick in your size...but look, you can order it online..." Aaaargh!

NotAnActualSheep · 04/06/2019 20:26

Ooooh, amazing jumpsuit goodluck! Where's that from? Love it with the necklace and sandals.

Thanks ella and len by the way. It is so nice and swishy, and will not require any leg prep, which is what I like about maxi skirts...

NotAnActualSheep · 04/06/2019 20:39

Oh, we've had some exciting news... a team from CBeebies came to DSs school a couple of weeks ago to run a workshop, and scout out children to go on "swashbuckle" (which will mean nothing unless you have DC/DGC of the right age... basically, pirate themed game show). We've just been told that DS has been chosen to go on it, and he's over the moon (practicing jumping off things etc. Not sure our furniture will withstand this...). I'm so pleased for him, but also a bit worried as he can get overwhelmed by people watching him do stuff. Goodness knows how he was chosen over all the outgoing, confident children, but hey... Anyway, we have to go to Glasgow for filming in a few weeks which is all very exciting.

dontcallmelen · 04/06/2019 20:49

Not aaaargh forgotten that, yes we only have one size in stock in some god awful colour, lol at plackets twas my lovely Mum who tried in vain to pass on her superb dressmaking skills, alas it was not a success.
Soups 😂😂
Good lovely jumpsuit.

dontcallmelen · 04/06/2019 20:53
