....ok, off the back of seeing it recommended here for plumped-up, dewy morning skin, I am volunteering myself as Guinea Pig...

I'll report back.

I tried on my face and can't really see anything different but I always put rose hip oil before bed and maybe it's not any different.

I had usual retinol Elizabeth Arden capsule and instead of rose hip oil I used Vaseline.

I tried some on my feet and feel so nice. I might ditch all my foot creams and buy Vaseline now. I have a very dry patch and it seems really improved now.

Did a test of this last night. I have a huge 500ml pot of the Johnsons version, the pink one which I bought earlier this year when they were rebranding so thought it may come in handy for something or other as it was really cheap.

So onto the under eye, chin and laugh line area it went. Forgot to pin my hair back so did have a wad across my face.

Woke up this morning and think I looked a little less dry and lined around the eye area. Great I thought.

Got washed, changed and put my usual make up on, then did something no one ever should do. I asked my 16 year old daughter if she thought my eyes looked any better......

To which she replied.... well I am not really sure Mum, those bags under your eyes are pretty noticeable today.

Hmmm. So I am not convinced its helped me really. Or should I just not take note of a 16 year old teens comments.

Perhaps it has to be the Vaseline brand. according to their website it is the original and different from copies. But they would say that...

For those using on hands, how? Last thing at night over a hand cream, with white gloves on overnight?

isthismylifenow · 07/06/2019 15:42

Sarcelle I did wonder if it was different from the original. Whilst in the shop i had a good whiff of the pink Vaseline (the baby one) and it smells and looks exactly the same as the Johnsons.

I am not in the UK so I am not sure if we get the same scents. We get about 3 or 4 different scents in the original Vaseline. Perhaps I will search about for the original, i bet we have some somewhere in the house.

And I will try again and let the worlds harshest critic tell me if it has worked or not

Well boots one said ingredients: petroleum and the vaseline said exactly the same I honestly think they are the same!

Blobbyweeble · 07/06/2019 15:46

I just rub it into the back of my hands and around my nails, haven’t used hand cream underneath as yet.

EleanorOalike · 07/06/2019 15:47

Apparently the Vaseline brand is the only triple filtered petroleum jelly. I do think it makes a difference. I know people who have used own brand and not seen a difference improvement wise then switched to Vaseline and found it did actually work a lot better.

Tingface · 07/06/2019 15:56

Mine is own brand and it’s working for me!

MustBeDueSomeBetterFeet · 07/06/2019 18:13

Purchased a mega tub today on the back of this thread and going to start tonight. Main areas of concern are deep line between eyebrows and some lines on forehead. Also some hormonal spottiness!

I have started with the Boots line correcting serum a few weeks back and yet to see an improvement...

Aquamarine1029 · 07/06/2019 18:26

@MustBeDueSomeBetterFeet

Be sure to use a little under/around your eyes and mouth and on your lips. You can put it on top of any other serums or treatments you might use. It works wonders.

Sarcelle · 07/06/2019 18:44

Been looking at other Vaseline uses. Read that you put a dab on where you spray perfume before applying perfume, makes the fragrance last longer.

GummyGoddess · 07/06/2019 20:02

Ok, so I have tried this for the last two days. I look better overall, but also better on one side than the other. I'm not really going for the lopsided look Hmm

Aquamarine1029 · 07/06/2019 20:11

@GummyGoddess

You need to try any skin care routine for more than 2 days.

GummyGoddess · 07/06/2019 20:17

I know, but now I'm worried that one side will start looking disproportionately better. Like the photo of the truck driver who had sun damage on only one side of his face.

greenwaterbottle · 07/06/2019 20:25

I've always suffered with open pores / blackheads around my nose. I've been using Egyptian skin magic as it seems similar. The pores are noticeably smaller with a few having closed/popped which is unheard of.

123testing · 07/06/2019 21:00

I started using vaseline after I read somewhere that applying it to the the breasts can increase bust size!
I thought in only logical that if it plumps breasts it can plump other areas so started using it under the eyes and cheek bones.
I think it did made a difference. Definitly helped with super dry skin around eyes. Nothing else worked
Mind you I didnt stick to it cos I find it hard to stick to anything long term!
If I had maybe I'd be looking like my 15 year old ddWink

icecreamsundae32 · 07/06/2019 21:41

@123testing lol did it increase your bust?! Weren't you all greasy in bed?!

123testing · 08/06/2019 00:50

I didnt use it on my breasts lolGrin

managedmis · 08/06/2019 02:49

I'm gonna give this a go

I'd like to look 25 again

managedmis · 08/06/2019 02:51

lol did it increase your bust?! Weren't you all greasy in bed?!

^^

God if I did that it'd be like two seals slapping each other around in bed

hollieberrie · 08/06/2019 11:41

Oooh I did this last night and I look so fresh today!!!!! Thanks OP.

fedup21 · 08/06/2019 11:42

The pores are noticeably smaller with a few having closed/popped which is unheard of.

Can you explain what you mean by popped?

Sarcelle · 08/06/2019 15:14

I did full face last night. Got a spot, which I don't normally get. Might be coincidence but I am just going to do my eyes from now in. Perhaps full face a couple of times a week in winter.

icecreamsundae32 · 09/06/2019 10:35

So I tried it on my forehead lines as well as around my eyes last night. Forehead lines def look less obvious, not sure about eyes yet as difficult to tell with the dark circles!
