....ok, off the back of seeing it recommended here for plumped-up, dewy morning skin, I am volunteering myself as Guinea Pig...

I'll report back.

Now you come to mention it I haven't woken up with any earwigs on my face since I've been wearing Vaseline in bed! Shock

Omg I want to try this

wiltingflower · 19/06/2019 22:24

I'm starting this tonight!
Pre Vaseline I'm applying Aveeno lotion as a moisturiser for face and neck and Olay eye gel for under eyes.

SapphireBattersea · 20/06/2019 09:33

How did it go @wiltingflower ?

I'm on day too I'm a bit spotty today! I wanted the skin of a teenager but that wasn't quite what I had in mind 🤦‍♀️

wiltingflower · 20/06/2019 15:13

@SapphireBattersea Hopefully the spots will calm down 💐

I woke up with skin looking moisturised, no puffyness or baby soft skin, just my skin but not dry iyswim. Last night I ended up also putting Aveeno then Vaseline on my arms and hands to see what happens and they do look moisturised and feel soft. I think I might try a full body of moisturiser plus Vaseline tonight, see what happens.

SapphireBattersea · 20/06/2019 15:48

Yes I think overall my skin is looking better. Despite me not sleeping much atm due to severe anxiety 😓

EatenByDinosaurs · 20/06/2019 15:59

Sapphire Flowers. I have found that if my skin isn't scrupulously clean when I put the Vaseline on I get spots, which is why I wait until not long before I go to bed to do my nighttime skincare, and then put the Vaseline straight over the top.

I live in a hot place and I find it works really well to keep my skin clear when I'm sweating up a storm overnight too. My skin looks ultra clear, even toned and fresh these days Smile

Watching x

OldAndWornOut · 20/06/2019 23:40

I stopped using it because of spots.
Wasn't sure whether to persevere, but my skin had just started to look the tiniest bit better after a rough few years, and I didn't want to risk it flaring up.

wiltingflower · 21/06/2019 15:46

@SapphireBattersea 💐
How is the Vaseline journey going?

Tonight will be night 3 with the Vaseline. I've not noticed any large spots yet, a couple of pin prick sized ones above my mouth. Not sure if these spots are period related or Vaseline related. I've not noticed my skin looking or feeling any better compared to yesterday.

I haven't found much benefit to moisturiser and Vaseline all over the body yet, think showering strips any effect away 🤔 so had to moisturise again afterwards.

@OldAndWornOut think I'll stop using Vaseline if I get more spots as well.

SapphireBattersea · 21/06/2019 18:32

@wiltingflower

My skin looks AMAZING today

Spots are still there but have reduced and no more have arrived 😂

SapphireBattersea · 21/06/2019 18:32

I just have a glow and my skin looks younger and softer

Sarcelle · 21/06/2019 23:01

I have been doing this I have I have been doing this around eyes for 2 weeks now. I am impressed

SapphireBattersea · 22/06/2019 21:35

Day 4 today and definitely getting better each day. It's a bit of a faff to do before bed but worth it i think!

Sarcelle · 06/07/2019 20:22

I have been doing this now for a month at night - but only around the eyes. I use a La Roche Posay eye gel, then a slick of vaseline on top. No milia, but the eye area definitely looks better, softer, less lined. It hasn't knocked 10 years off me but there is an improvement.

Any one still doing the Vaseline on face thing?

PaulinesPenStash · 06/07/2019 23:20

I've had to stop @Sarcelle my face was getting really spotty

It's a shame cos I think it did work otherwise

Sarcelle · 07/07/2019 08:46

That's a shame. I didn't use it on all my face for that reason, just a smidge around my eyes. It has improved the efficacy of my eye product.,

Mandelinka · 08/07/2019 10:04

I just started this 2 days ago.
Anybody else still doing this? Interested in your feedback Smile

PaulinesPenStash · 08/07/2019 18:03

I will give that a try then @Sarcelle

PaulinesPenStash · 08/07/2019 18:03

How are you getting on @Mandelinka ?

EatenByDinosaurs · 08/07/2019 18:54

I still do this every night, I've done it for months now and will never go back to not doing it. I was a bit concerned that as we hit summer I'd run into issues with it (I live in a fairly part of the US) but its working even better now.

I've just started using prescription retin A too, and the Vaseline is helping enormously to prevent the initial face like a dinosaur's ass stage.
Even my Dr is surprised at how well its working Grin

EatenByDinosaurs · 08/07/2019 18:55

Fairly hot part, that should say.

PaulinesPenStash · 08/07/2019 19:09

@EatenByDinosaurs how do you cope doing it in a hot climate, I hate having it on my face when it's warm at nights as it feels horrible and makes me more hot !

Great that it's working though !

EatenByDinosaurs · 08/07/2019 19:12

I don't know Paulines I think I've just become used to it.
At first I used to hate the feel of it, but I don't even notice it now, and we don't have air conditioning in our bedroom either as it gives me a migraine if its on while we sleep.
