To have access to such fabulous jewellery.

MoonstoneMagic · 06/06/2019 13:58

Camilla looks wonderful in those photos.
Charles looks like he’s pulling TM up. It just looks so silly!

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 06/06/2019 14:01

The Royal men look good in uniform.
Probably because of the cover afforded by caps.
😂😂😂

MoonstoneMagic · 06/06/2019 14:06

Charles just looks awful these days. Stooped, red of face, hair badly cut. Clothes crumpled. He looks unwell much of the time.

ElspethFlashman · 06/06/2019 14:09

But yet I don't think he is actually unwell. He looked great for his age on the beach in Barbados or wherever last month.

It's just that he's so red faced that's all you see when he's in a suit.

NoTheresa · 06/06/2019 14:13

Melania looks amazing.

BlingLoving · 06/06/2019 14:34

Teresa May's curtsy alone is a reason for her to stop being PM, even if she'd been a good one. I wonder if I can send her the video of the purple lady from the state dinner!? Her posture is bad at the best of times so the ridiculous low curtseys she does just make her look ridiculous. And honestly, she's the freaking PM. Respect and decorum is one thing but abject subservience? Ick.

gingercat02 · 06/06/2019 15:10

The Queen has aged and shrunk so much between the Obama pic and this week's one. Makes you realise how old she really is!

PinkSun9 · 06/06/2019 15:19

@ gingercat02

Yes, she looked particularly frail when she was walking with Trump to the banquet hall. Her speech also sounds a bit laboured.

Even PC looks unwell. I think his reign, if he ever becomes the King, will be a short one.

pinkladyapples · 06/06/2019 15:33

CPV today in floral dress for Sweden National day, Princess Sofia in traditional dress and bonus HCP!

She is starting to look almost her age. But so much happier recently. And some excellent clothes.

Laiste · 06/06/2019 16:15

I noticed shrinking RH as well. Visually speaking aging is just basically ... slowly crumpling up all over isn't it. Great ......... :(

Ye Gods TM and her grovelling. Legs sticking out all over the place. No need for it! A simple one foot behind the other bob would suffice perfectly well if she really wants to show deference.

AudacityOfHope · 06/06/2019 16:17

TM's curtsy is about as good as her entire prime ministership. In other words, pointless, awkward, and embarrassing.

peridito · 06/06/2019 16:43

I don't thinkTM should be criticised for her posture . I doubt it's in her power to improve it .

Thought this was interesting

Osteoporosis and Diabetes
People with type 1 diabetes tend to have a lower bone density and hence at an increased risk of osteoporosis, a condition resulting in weakened bones.

Osteoporosis may not present noticeable symptoms and the first indication that you may have osteoporosis is usually if you suffer a bone fracture.

Osteoporosis may be noticeable in older as weak and fractured bones in the spine can cause the head to permanently lean forwards and a hunchback appearance developing

escapade1234 · 06/06/2019 18:22

Prince Charles looks like he’s laughing his head off at the Prime Minister’s absurd curtesy.

EleanorReally · 06/06/2019 18:49

charles isnt young though is he

GlamGiraffe · 06/06/2019 19:47

RhubarbIsEvil
You remember too then?

Wetdogloveshubert · 06/06/2019 19:53

Charles has had a fair bit of stick on here lately, and though I don't like pinstripe suits, he doesn't look too bad in these Normandy photos. Lovely to see them interacting so enthusiastically with our veterans.

William probably dislikes Trump more than Harry (Trump has made some really creepy comments about Kate in the past).

Saw this about how all the younger royals avoided photos with Trump and how the BRF managed the Trumps:

^It’s a big deal and it was masterful. The entire family did its job to represent Great Britain in what was actually a trade negotiation session, forced upon them by Brexit and Theresa May while protecting one another from the disgraceful Trumps.

The Queen, Charles, and Camilla did their jobs and stood for photographs and stuff with Orange Voldemort and Melania but there does not exist a single picture of any of them posing with Trump spawn, not even Nagini (Ivanka), who was so desperate to be seen as on equal footing as a Queen and Princess that you could smell it.

William and Kate showed up at the dinner and mingled with Cabinet officials. It’s a trade meeting so they focused on that real aspect of the job, the trade talk people, depriving Trump and his spawn of souvenirs.

Harry did his part, supporting his grandmother at the luncheon by keeping Nagini far away from her while also keeping himself far away from Orange Voldemort.

Sophie and Anne kicked into gear at the dinner, keeping Nagini and Jared far away from any photo opportunities with the Queen or Charles while managing to avoid Orange Voldemort themselves.

Andrew took Day 2 and could only be seen at a conference table. Charles and Camilla handled the second dinner with Camilla arming herself with that full glass of red wine, which must have scared the white clad Ivanka.^

BertrandRussell · 06/06/2019 20:14

I actually think William and Harry should have been allowed to swerve Trump duty after what he said about their mother and their wives. Diplomatic illnesses. Obviously nobody would have believed it, but that’s not the point. He just thinks he can get away with anything- and this proves he can.

derxa · 06/06/2019 20:21

I love all the concern about the feelings of the Royal family when usually MN is spewing bile about them. Personally I feel it's all water off a duck's back as far as the senior royals are concerned. It is a pity that Trump didn't meet Prince Philip though.

itswinetime · 06/06/2019 20:27

I do agree they did what they had to do without being politically in anyway. How much is planned and thought through how much is just protocol we will never know.

  • Charles and Camillia did pose with the who trump clan see attached

-the younger generation William and Harry ect, are apparently very popular in the USA so keeping them away from being photographed with trump could be clever could be them refusing. I'm not sure in fairness I think the Obamas visit was pretty unique In the way the younger royals engaged. We didn't see any photos of William and Kate and Max and Wax at their state banquet did we. So it might be all protoco dictated.

Ultimately they did there 'jobs' like they have done with multiple (especially for the queen) other heads of state they probably neither like or respect.

I'm not saying they did or didn't handle the trumps differently I don't think we saw anything conclusive either way but if they did it's probably as much about not wanting the RF brand tainted by the Trumps as a political statement.

Off my little soapbox and back to normal service I think we will see Meghan on the balcony for trooping but probably not in the carriages I aim hoping George and Charlotte have their first carriage ride this year.

Not on these threads, though.

QueenOfTheAndals · 06/06/2019 20:33

No, this is S&B rather than AIBU after all!
