In my defence I've had about three hours sleep and am very tired, but looking at the pictures of Michelle's evening gowns is making me a bit emotional and teary. I miss the Obamas. I don't like the world much these days.

I think William is a real mix of Windsor & Diana.

Harry I see more of his grandfather Philip with a fair bit of Spencer.

I've just been reading glorious Marina Hyde's Guardian article about Trump's visit and love this bit:

Onwards and upwards, isn't the Trooping of the Colour on Saturday? I'm guessing an almost neon colour for HM and a pastel McQueen coat dress for Kate. The big question is will Meghan make an appearance?

I’m out on Saturday so set trooping of the colour to record.

@IHeartArya I think Harry looks more like Charles but has Diana's easy way of engaging with people whereas William looks like her but is very much his father's son and comes across as more reserved and sometimes a bit stiff.

Marina's writing is really quite brilliant. A random fact about her is that she attended the same school as Kate and Pippa!

Marina Hyde's writing is all 'look at me I'm so clever'. The BTL comments usually consist of having orgasms over her. Not my cup of tea.

I love The Obamas. I wish they could have been President & First Lady forever. The world just felt like a safer place.

@derxa - I sort of agree. I read a lot of her stuff because she does come up with some brilliant lines and comments (I love the Prince Philip comment in this one for example). But a lot of it is just to "clever" for words and the fawning over her really disturbs me. I also think her work isn't as good as it used to be. Possibly because she wrote a few really good, cover, funny pieces which made her the next big hot thing and now she's trying too hard?

I have visions of the RF WhatsApp group, especially the cousins one, being LIT up over the last couple of days!

And yes, I'd like to imagine that the senior Royals gathered together last night in their 'comfy clothes' to have a takeaway curry and watch repeats of 'Escape to the Country'.

I could never say they earned their keep but they did their job the last couple of days.

I doubt whether Meghan will be at Trooping of the Colour. However fingers crossed for Prince Louis. Charlotte was just over one at her first appearance. The Cambridge’s are a bit more relaxed about showing off their children now.
